    Honestly, I appreciate that this is a sort of no b.s./minimalistic morning routine. Some morning routines videos have so many steps in the morning alone it feels like it should take an hour to complete them. I like that he just does the essentials then gets straight to work.

      @@katiemcmeekin4007 that's the key, each person has different routines, the problem with some people they try to make routines perfect to be like their influencers. Each individuals has different types of comfort zone, we all trying to run from it. For me is sleeping I hate myself when I wake up at 10am++, I'm working on it right now.

    Guys, remember, if you ruined your morning, it doesn't mean that you have to give up on the whole day. I had a problem of giving up if something went wrong. The best time to start doing something is always NOW

      I actually read this thing in reddit or somewhere. You can divide your days into what you want. Like for example, it's either - MORNING, AFTERNOON, EVENING or Early Morning, Late Morning, Early Afternoon, Late Afternoon, Early Evening, Late Evening - so as to not shitty instead of blaming yourself in case you haven't done anything in the early parts of the day.

      Wanna see my morning routine? I wake up a 4 AM or 3PM, depends on how much sugar, caffeine, or youtube I consumed prior to sleeping. I wake up use the restroom, then I fall back asleep and wake up 10 minutes to an hour later usually and then I watch TH-cam and talk to my girlfriend. I take a shower, get up for the day, and work for about 2 hours, maybe less. That’s about all...

      @Brethor not the OP but for me it works as a blinder and also kind of a sound muffler. I even hung up a sheet around my workspace to block everything out around me. I also have to block out the view of my husband with a pillow when I'm reading at night. Lol this might seem a bit extreme...my ADHD needs it!!

    I love how realistic and practical this video is, it's not like "I WAS BORN AT A VERY YOUNG AGE AND WAKE UP AT 4AM EVERY MORNING AFTER 3 HOURS OF SLEEP, I RUN FOR 15 MILES AND MEDITATE FOR 3 HOURS".     It's so true. You do not even realize! Even though I've been productive over the years, the resistance is real and excruciating. The actual writing is quite enjoyable once I get into it.

    Most important morning routine: avoid your phone. I found that I instantly reach for my phone and stay in bed just scrolling, and I scroll on my phone a lot more throughout the day than I would if I didn't start my day reaching for my phone. So for me it's a good morning routine avoiding my phone for the first 2 hours of the day.

    Dude I'm currently working on my masther thesis and I feel THE EXACT SAME WAY about writing. The resistance against writing is a lot more unpleasant than the writing itself. And the more I resist the more I procrastinate and viceversa, it's an excruciating endless cycle of procrastination and frustration. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do but damn I swear it's like a supernatural force is keeping me from doing that

    I’ve found that working from home disrupts my routine and I hate it. Now every morning I wake up at the same time I would wake up if I were to go to the office, have breakfast, walk the dog, show and get dressed with regular work clothes and it feels much better. I also wear jeans not like dress shirts with no pants your weirdos!

    Great morning routine brotha, I actually have a similar routine of writing every morning as well. For whatever reason, all my best ideas are created first thing in the morning. Whenever I try to write at night, my words always end up being sloppy or uninspiring. And I know what you mean about writing being boring and mundane, after you get into a good groove it ends up being really enjoyable!

    This channel has quite literally changed my life. The “how to be miserable for the rest of your life” was so shockingly directed at me that I could no longer play into the lies anymore. I spent the last 3 years unable to work, my relationship was hanging by a thread and I gave up. Your dedication to bettering yourself will inspire thousands if not exponentially more.     This is my favorite "morning routine" video on TH-cam so far. Not only is it realistic and practical, it's similar to my morning routine (love loading up on brain supplements and bulletproof coffee) and your end goal is with video in mind, like mine SHOULD be but isn't yet. Maybe I should write more.

    Setting a timer for one hour to write on my thesis before doing any other things is a great idea. I tend to stall and procrastinate working on my thesis.
    It seems to get worse after I already did something else, since then I'll have to carry that guilt and the restlessness of the activity as well. But at the same time, the idea of having to work on it for a long time, stresses me out as well. So just one hour, could work.
    I'm trying this tomorrow.

    You know, I enjoy watching your ad sponsorships as well. I don't fast forward to skip through them.
    Because you always find a way to relate it to your life and make it meaningful in some way.
    I really enjoy your videos and hang on to every word. You're one of the few TH-camrs who is not unnecessarily verbose and keeps things succinct. So every sentence seems valuable and worth listening to.
    I think this might be a result of all the writing that you do, and I can imagine it must take effort to condense all your ideas into a short video and getting the message across effectively, even adding a few jokes here and there in between and an ad.
    So basically what I'm trying to say (ironically in maybe a lot of words) is that you're an amazing orator and I love your videos.

    Here's my morning routine: I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I’ll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.
