I watch through the ads for you Ron, I don't do that for just anyone!! And what with a little message, that should cheer your algorithm up nicely 😂
Nice concise progress as usual mate, it's good content, keep it up and you'll be a top channel yet 😉👍
Much appreciated as always 😎 it all helps 😁
So much needed to make them fit but this is going to be f.. awesome.. Great work Ron 👏
Thanks for watching 😁
Quality as always!
Thanks for watching 😁
Amazing work
Thanks for watching 😁
Top jobs 👌
Thanks for watching 😁
Love these videos well done man really like all the fab work and custom work. Cant wait for the next video🙌 gives me a lot of ideas for my mk1 caddy
Thanks for watching 😁
Looking good, maybe you could put the radiator outlets on the right side
That is an option but I'm trying to hide as much as possible where I can, keeping that side all empty 😁
You can flip the rad over and re weld the vent to the top,
Hey brother quick off the shelf option for your upper rad hose that I learned from Jamie Orr, Chevy Aevo 2000-06 upper or lower rad hose (can’t remember) fits your upper rad connection back to your 1.8T factory hose. Awesome little bit of kit and something you don’t have to make custom!
Also, learned from experience you MUST put rubber isolated mounts on your rad and intercooler those cheap chinese ones will crack from bouncing around! Ask me how I know…. lol.
Also also, you can buy pre made billet weld on adapters for your MAP sensor in the intercooler piping around $10 when I did mine, saves a ton of time instead of making something.
Thanks watching and thanks for all the tips, I'll look into them 😎
Brilliant work 👏 👍 👌
Thanks for watching 😁
Well done mate, top job as always 😎
Thanks for watching 😁
Id leave the bumper off. Black plastic sucks. I remember your astra IC😂 was the first thing u fixed on it🙈 a shame u cant have the coolers central on this to make it symmetrical. Why did u opt. Out of the bam inlet? To ensure that nearside is empty i assume....keep doing your thing bro i done many conversions and witnessed many more rough jobs but ur attention to detail is on another level❤
Yes kept the lefty inlet purely for aesthetics, trying to keep the bay as empty as possible, espically over the gearbox side. Thanks for watching 😁
Great video again, definitely giving ne inspiration to get in the garage and finally get my build moving. I do however wish i had a ramp.... Fed off using jacks now 🤣
Thanks for watching 😁
Loving the work ron some boy. On a different episode maybes but what you doing with battery is that going under the bed really interested in what you come up with as i want my battery relocated under there
We haven't 100% decided yet. We thought about behind the seat but not sure if that'll fit, under the bed with a remote point is another option. I'll be sure to cover it when we do decide, thanks for watching 😁
@SuperRon excellent can't wait to see what you come up with. Personally I don't like the idea under the seat so hopefully yous go with under the bed and I can get some inspiration off the pro . Keep up the good work can't wait till the next one keeps me going with my with caddy can't wait to get her back out this summer
Loving the videos Ron, some of the most informative on an 1.8t swap I've seen :). I'm doing a 1.8t swap in a Mk2 Jetta with a hybrid K04, Chinafold etc, would the radiator you are using be sufficient to cool it - if so what brand is it as it looks different to the intercooler? Cheers and keep up the good work!!
If you're starting to push performance I'd try and get as big as rad as possible, they do ones longer than this to fit in the extra holes on the front panel. It's just a unbranded one off ebay, theres hundreds on there so start comparing sizes in their descriptions.
Cheers Ron, I’ll take a look 👍
Why didn't you turn the radiator around so it don't get in the way of the cover?
On the final finish that side is going to be completly empty so didn't want any pipes spoiling it.
@SuperRon I get that, but then the top pipe would be right where it needs to be to join up with the top pipe. There is no need for 90 right, straight, 90 left. Maybe get the top hose under the cover?,?
@@ZafiraSteve you'll see more why when the fan and that is in 👍
Rubber mounts?
There will be rubber pads on underneith on the final fit.
