Hi . Very beautiful ring and beautiful work, cat you share what tools you are using? Is this engraving machine or hand peace Foredom chisel? Thank you. VJ
That is a craftsmen . I sure would like to learn ! There is a video How to make a Faberge Imperial egg which too is my goal to achieve creating with installation technique like demonstrated here in this video !
I just learnt fishtail at work the other day.. a little different to this method but its interesting to see it done other ways! Will try out this way next I think! Also what's the angle of the graver you use at 5:30?
Hi Great video enjoyed very much I would like to ask you what kind of micro motor you using with what torque and does it maintain the torque on all ranges of speeds? I just wonder which micro motor to get myself Thanks
I am a big fan of the marathon handy eco for value, that's what Im using here. 7.8ncm of torque, its very nice to work with. if your budget is higher I really like the Badeco but its considerably more
Hi Thanks for your reply I still can’t choose between Badeco or NSK What is your opinion do you have any experience with both of them Greatly appreciated Thanks
This is normal. You’ll find with Diamonds and gemstones though unless you pay a premium, most of those don’t come in exact calibrated sizes anyway, so you’ll need to learn to cut a 2.53 hole with that 2.43 bur
Basically assume all holes will likely need precise adjustment to get a good seat, assuming your bur is 2.5 and the stone you’ve ordered as 2.5 is a great way to run into trouble. Cz are nicely calibrated but move to cheap gemstones and sometimes those can range from 2.35-2.65 depending on how little your supplier cares
I just ordered a vevor Pneumatic jewelry engraver. It looks like a knock off of the GRS for 1700$, the one I got was 300$. so what im asking is if I get nicer high end engraver handtool, will it be better then the cheap ones it comes with or if I get top made engraver tips? thanks for your time. And if im on the right track, what handheld and tips should I get?
Barnard, you set the stones very low. this is not entirely true. It is enough to put quite a bit below the level of the surface of the workpiece. And maybe even on par.
Yes, in the longer video of this Eugene I explain what happened. Was using a new brand of burs I was not used to, so all are even but a little low I agree. I thought it was a good opportunity to show that all is not lost if you drill a little low
The audio is completely gone after 0:25
Probably copyright smh. I thought it was just me

Good afternoon, it looks cool, tell me what the sharpening angle should be?
Great video! :-) Hopefully be able to take a class one day..
I hope so too! Half the day I learn from you, other half we switch! Your engraving is next level!
What tool did you use for splitting the prongs before beading?
Hello, I watched your diamond planting video, it's really beautiful, I really like it, thank youI'm also better than Cambodia.
Soooo Beautifulll Master!!

Thank you so much!! keep at it you'll get there
What kind of tool is that. Why they split the prong like a knife cutting butter?
keep up the work . we watching

and is the splitter tool you use just steel? Like an old bur?
What is that brass looking collet that you hold the ring with when engraving the sides? What is it called and where can I find them? Thank you!!
What are you using to hold the band while you drill? Excellent work and video
Love your videos.. thank you for sharing

Awesome master setter
What kind of dividers are those?
I watched one reel, and tried to get an answer several times about how much a video of it costs, but this one didn't bother to answer at all!
At the 5min plus mark. Are you using an Onglet...push Graver?
V gravers always, and GRS graver smith
grs carbade right?
if you are using 1.3mm stones how wide is the band you are working with?
How much wider than stone should the band be ? Thank you 🙏
i'd say anywhere between 0.5mm to 1.2mm
@@antosharboonian6110 thank you 🙏
now i've tried making my own ring and believe 1mm on each side will do
the split prong with u-cut is also called a french setting? Also curious why is it called french setting to begin with?
wonder that also.most prob started at France...
I insanely maticulos work it's like drawing on a pin head
If you keep being active you are definitely gonna blow up. Have you tried promoting some of your videos on reddit?
Thanks so much! I will continue to be active for sure! More active on the long form side too
Never tried on Reddit, wouldn’t even know where there to go?
Its a 60 degrees?
Does it matter if it s gold, white gold or Platinum to do this fishtail setting?
it does not, no. silver is trickier as its so soft but still possible
Excelente
Great stuff.
Newbie question: bought a set of hart burs and they're all 2%-3% under the rated sizes. (ex: 025 = 2.43mm) What tolerance should be required in burs?
This is normal. You’ll find with Diamonds and gemstones though unless you pay a premium, most of those don’t come in exact calibrated sizes anyway, so you’ll need to learn to cut a 2.53 hole with that 2.43 bur

@@setting-the-standard Thanks. I had no idea it was -that- important to match diameters (I've got LOTS to learn).
Great video 💪
cheers man!
Let’s say the stones are 1.5 mm what distance do you make from one hole to the other?
1.55
No way tho, that would mean there would be barley any prongs. You also make the holes deep so how doesn’t the stones hit each other?
"Its all abou" *cuts into silence* 😂
Fabulous
I'M TAKING THIS VIDEO TO MY JEWELER, I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE AN ETERNITY RING IN WHITE GOLD 😊
