Wow, never knew states had laws about getting the snow off the roof. Although it does make sense. Many's the time I wished I had, when it blew down and covered my windshield again, while driving! Far as I know we don't have that law here in Missouri or Kansas where I used to live. Smart of you to get out there and get was accumulated for now. Even if it keeps snowing, will be that much less to get later. Also, definitely wise to have that deicer! Now that you have it open, do it first, the next time you have to clean your windshield, and that will make it so much easier! Stay warm and safe. Since we got our snow way before yours, we did that a few days ago. And tomorrow it's supposed to get in the 30s here, so hopefully what's left on the car will melt. We have just the one warm day, for now. But I'll take it!!
Those scrapers extend by twisting the middle loose and extending it then twisting it the other way to tighten it! I think the law about clearing "roof snow" came about because big trucks would have ice and snow fly off their roofs and hit the cars behind them, sometimes causing accidents! You might want to put some Vaseline around the rubber gaskets around your doors ( at least the front ones) so they don't freeze shut and you can get a little cylinder with an alcohol solution in it to put in your keyhole to unfreeze them.. Probably can get them at 7-11 or the dollar stores or an auto parts store! You take off the cap and put the tip into your lock and push, and it shoots the liquid into the lock, and it usually unfreezes it immediately! They are as small as a Bic lighter! Just some suggestions! God Bless!

It's sunny at my house today but it's only 24 degrees. We're supposed to get some more "wintery mix" and probably more snow Thursday night and into Friday, so we'll see. I got all stocked up before the storm hit so I have not left my house since Saturday!!!!! Honey, the south ain't used to this kind of stuff!!!!!
We live west of knoxville on the plateau. We got 7 inches of snow. Been very cold for a week. 6 below zero last night. We will be stranded till next Monday. So many places closed.
We had thunderstorms this morning and the rain stopped the the cold is coming in our low tonight around 29 and the high tomorrow wednesday will be in the 40's. Then we warm up get more rain and then more freezing temps. But we are doing good. Great job Glenda and be careful getting out in that white stuff...God bless.😊

Oh I used to clean the car off when we rented, thankful I have a garage now, even though it’s not heated, my late fiancé had a two & half car garage built when he lived with me, at my age and health issues I would not want to do that, you be careful! Our windchill has been-25 not fit to be out.
