Hey guys I am 72 yrs. Old and because of the Chosen I have learned so much more than what I was taught in Sunday School. I look forward to your commentaries after each epsiode Because again I learn so much and feel closer to Jesus because of the knowledge I am reciving. You are doing a wonderful work and so happy to see young men loving the Lord like you do. Keep up the great work and may God bless you and your families through the difficult times ahead. Come Lord Jesus!
We're so glad you're here! We love that there's no end to what we can learn and discover that will draw us closer to Yeshua throughout our whole lives!
Thank you to the whole Grafted Team! While I love listening to you two, I really appreciate the visible scripture references added in so we can jot them down and read those pages ourselves!
Been waiting for this! Also, the whole thing about a Marathon being 26.2 miles is an understatement to the distance run by the messenger from the Battle of Marathon. In actuality, he ran to every major city in Greece, (Corinth, Sparta, Argos, Olympia, etc.) and then to Athens. That amounts to at least 100+ miles with little to no rest. Also, he had just finished fighting an exhausting battle against a massive invasion force along with his outnumbered comrades. It’s not like he had a nice long rest the night before and was feasting on pasta leading up to it.
Also, the rock on which the church is built is the confession itself. “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus being the Christ, the Son of God is the founding principle of the church.
This cannot have been a live broadcast, as images were shown parallel to the explanations. That is impossible... or they learned their dialogues by heart (which I don't believe), and it would not have been a real and spontaneous live broadcast either.
Reminds me of “when we walk with the Lord, in the light of His work, what a glory He sheds on our way. While we do His good will, He abides with us still as with all who will trust and obey.”
Yeshua really pulled them out of their comfort zones bringing them to Caesarea Philippi, and then kind of pulls the rug out from under them more with his question about who they think he is. It was intentional, and really something I think John the Baptist would have found to be deeply amusing.
And when we come together we will truly become ONE, together as a Bride fit for HIM.....On a side note, I am so glad this season and where Simon became Peter, was filmed before Oct 7th happened, I prayed from the first horrible reports from Israel, for Shahar (and all those who returned to serve their country,) may those scenes have given strength and comfort
Would love to know what actually happened inside that temple. Matthew says “are those goats sacrificed inside that temple?” Little James replies, “No. something much worse”.
@nzadventurefamily3728, he was a god of fertility. I would rather not spell out the rest as I think it becomes clear what activities took place.🤮 Archaeologists say the niches in the rock walls were for exaggerated phallic representations and Pan often times was depicted in an "excited" form. This was a horrific place.
Ancient Sun Gods (Moluch, Baal, Jupiter) were worshiped by parents bringing their newborn babies and sacrificing them (alive) by fire in order to guarantee a good harvest. That is what Little James meant when he said something much worse
I’ve listen to one preached (forgot the name) that Jesus loves humans so much that He would let Himself be killed and take the whole world’s sin in order to have the possibility of going to the very end of hells to preach about salvation there and save the souls that got trapped there during the 3 days of waiting between His death and His resurrection. But on top of that, I think He is willing to do that in order to go seek and save Judas’ soul from hell right after him hanging himself upon Jesus’ crucifixion. Yep, His one sheep that went missing from the herd and redeemed his soul. Given that in mind, probably Him going to hell on earth was an introduction before His grand act of sacrifice to give salvation even for souls in the depths of hell upon His crucifixion.
Hi guys, maybe you could do a video for us on the significance of olive oil in The Bible? I’m pretty sure you know why I’m asking lol I’d really appreciated that ❤❤❤
Ya, and most people, even ones like little James were much tougher than the general populace of today. And they were motivated by purpose... not just wandering around... lol.
Thank you for the detailed explanation. But didn't the woman at the well also recognize Jesus as the long-awaited Messiah? Or even earlier, Andrew and Nathaniel and many others. The apostles knew this long before. But perhaps I've overlooked something here.
Jesus told the woman at the well who He was. She didn't know until He told her. Nathaniel and others did know, but they acknowledged it before Jesus told them. In Scripture, this is the first time Jesus point blank asked them.
I’m surprised you didn’t comment on the Isaiah 22 parallel. Anyway, I am looking forward to your commentary of Episode 3 where a Jewish man: -touches a childbearing woman NOT his family TWICE -touches the clothes of a dead woman (if not the dead woman herself) -maybe touches blood. Would a first century practicing Jewish man even conceive of doing any of the above, no matter the circumstance?
To visit and release the righteous that died before He came. They were in purgatory waiting for his arrival. So that in the future those living had the chance to choose His Way. Those that had followed and lived well according to God’s laws and towards all others. What so many did not do was chose Christ while He was alive or sense.
I don’t quite understand the, what you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven part. It seems backwards to me, like we are bringing into Heaven things of Earth rather than bringing to earth the things of Heaven. Can you explain this to me?
There is a transfer of authority happening here. He's saying that Peter and the boys have authority in the Kingdom of Heaven while on earth. A phrase we use is that Yeshua brought and "already and not yet" Kingdom. His Kingdom has come but not in fullness. Here He is declaring that the disciples have authority in the this Kingdom even though it has not come in fullness.
@@judithmitchek9920 Oh my gosh, yes! Why does no one else see that? He was so incredibly arrogant and had an attitude he knew more than Dallas. He even said in an interview something along the lines of how he didn't ever listen to anything Dallas had to say. Why would anyone want to work with an actor lacking the humility to take direction from the director? @twiceborn, I agree. I really like the gentleness Reza (?) brings to the role.
Hell is being in the state of being dead. Jesus died and was in hell for 3 days and 3 nights. But he conquered death and rose again. Dead people can do nothing, and Jesus voluntarily done that for to save us from our sin. He rose again and is our saviour
I have to say, if you want to see the episodes uninterrupted, watch them on the app. The entire purpose of channels like this are to give breakdowns on the episodes and important relevant biblical background.
I don't know Shahar's beliefs, but to have him, an Israeli Jew make that statement, as emotionally as he does 🤯 blows me away every time. 🙌🏼

Yay, been waiting patiently for your reactions. I love how educational, emotional and funny you guys are. 😊
Ditto! 😊
Agreed. Additionally, no thumbnails or titles that are slippery or misleading. The faith, scholarship, brotherhood, and humor are unbeatable.
@@EmMiller-wu3dyso agree. Some commentators I respect have morphed into click bait headlines. It is a frustration.

Unity is high level warfare. Excellent point!!

5pm. Excellent. That's called knowing your audience
It’s 10pm here 🤨
I can't believe I caught you live! I love you guys! Thanks for all you do! ❤

So good! I appreciate you both sharing your knowledge…nice catch with Yosef’s key tying it in too!
When Jesus was with the children he made a key and lock and said this is good
This was wonderful!
4:15 Running a race this spring a spectator was hold up a sign saying "You realize the first person to do this died"
Such good education, thank you!!!

To preach to the souls in sheol, saying He has overcome death.

25 mile ruck is totally possible. I'm over 50 and did a Norwegian in 3 hours 24 minutes... People were healthier then.
Right-o.. one day, easy. 2-3 miles an hour? They weren't crawling, sheesh. 🙂

Who is ready to see Jesus flip tables in the temple?!🎉😂
Am thinking it's in season 5
The goats at Philippi reminded me of Sam's goat whom he forgot the name of lol
Amém meu criador
For someone who gets “panic” from time to time….thats very interesting. Not about the goat thing tho 😮😅
Not to be picky, but Nathaniel had already declared Jesus as "the Son of God. The King of Israel." Why didn't he repeat it here?
Dr. Tom, how many Bibles do you own? Just always zeroed in on bookshelves as a backdrop.

From what I’ve seen so far, I like the new Phillip more. I feel that the other guy brought too much comedy.
I felt the old Phillip had an attitude like he knew better than Dallas how he wanted to portray the Phillip characteer.
