+SpecialHandlingUnit It's not click bait. The comedian was basically an actor playing the role of "traumatized comedian with a bad act who is trying to start telling jokes after 10 years". People just read the headline wrong. or, rather, it's initially confusing.
The whole point of the act was that he was traumatized. That why he hadn't done jokes in 10 years. That's why all of his jokes were old and out of date. That's why he kept slipping and saying the wrong words. Again. I think you're confusing the actual standup comedian and the character he is playing in his act. The ACTOR was not traumatized. The ACTOR did not lose his wife in a fire. The CHARACTER was traumatized. THE CHARACTER was bombing. the fact that the audience was laughing at the comedian is irrelevant. They were laughing at the actor, not the character, whose jokes were not funny.
i realize that after i clicked, hence click bait, you state the obvious which just backs up my point....it's click bait. Title should read- Stand up Comedian does routine of being traumatized.... () got to spell it out for you. I was expecting to see a comedian fail on stage, it's clear cut click bait.
This was obviously an act. If anybody took this guy seriously or thinks the jokes in this aren't spot on humor, then you clearly missed the whole point of the joke.
GabrielNovakStudios I'm reading all these comments and so many people are complaining about the title, completely missing the point of it all. How is it not obvious? It's fucking obvious.

His timing was too quick for the awkward parts, let it linger a little longer. Then hit that next nervous joke. All in all the jokes were well thought out.
Is this funny comedy or norm Macdonald comedy? Ive recently seen a trend of people trying to explain how norm is a genius and how others dont get his comedy because they dont understand pure comedy. If thats the case that this guy is in the norm Macdonald league. Weird, unfunny and awkward.
Oh you think so? Where are your comedy skits? How long have you been a totally experienced comedian worthy of handing out advice to other working comedians?
Wow, that was experimental and funny as hell! I give this guy tons of credit! I personally think it takes a lot of balls to perform a completely routine act like that, because if it bombs you are completely back to square one whereas in traditional stand-up you can simply ditch the jokes that didn't work and replace them individually.
I understand why you think that, but if you read the description you'll see that the comedian in the video actually named the routine "blah blah blah comedian bombs"
+6oodfella I think you're missing it. The performance the real-life comedian is doing is of a bad comedian who is traumatized by the death of his wife.

lol, not bad.

You're right, some people are tens steps ahead. He'd be an awesome writer for 8 episodes at a time. I like him :)
well that escalated quickly
Just finished watching this video and gotta say this is probably one of my top 10 stand up bits that I’ve ever seen and I’ve never even seen any of this guys other stuff but this was hilarious lol
Anti-clickbait: the title lies, the guy doesn't bomb on stage, in fact he gets a bunch of laughs and a round of applause.
People love other peoples pain and failure
@@rdrrdr778 It's how we deal with problems, by finding humor in them. Having dealt with depression for a little over a year or two now, finding humor in the darkest aspects of my experience has helped me deal with it a lot better.

+steamyhotpoo spaghetti on spaghetti? mind blown!
0:48 "...following a personal tragedy"
guy in audience: "ahahahahaha"
wtf? lol
Oh that's so me...
Dude just became the Joker.
If you don't get it, ya don't get it.
That was actually hysterical. I was confused at first but then I realized this was actually genius
The laugh was enough for me anyway.
mmm nice click bait
+SpecialHandlingUnit It's not click bait. The comedian was basically an actor playing the role of "traumatized comedian with a bad act who is trying to start telling jokes after 10 years".
People just read the headline wrong. or, rather, it's initially confusing.
he wasn't traumatized, his act wasn't bad, the title was intentionally misleading to get views: click bait.
+SpecialHandlingUnit Yeah but don't you realise BLAH BLAH BLAH...Forget it, you can't reason with some people
Loved it! Love the nuanced punchlines.
I think they're just too dense to see a joke, even if it's right in front of their face. lmao
GabrielNovakStudios most people are very dense.
.
And don't get sarcasm
Elitist audience member says what?
GabrielNovakStudios dude he was serious

It’s kinda funny how the second time he said years everyone laughed that time
Even the title of the video acts like a part of the joke. This was great!

His timing was too quick for the awkward parts, let it linger a little longer. Then hit that next nervous joke. All in all the jokes were well thought out.
Agreed
Fred Creed thanks pro. Hey when you next on? That's great. You really were listening during the lesson where they told you the key to good comedy
He was being timed though
Is this funny comedy or norm Macdonald comedy? Ive recently seen a trend of people trying to explain how norm is a genius and how others dont get his comedy because they dont understand pure comedy. If thats the case that this guy is in the norm Macdonald league. Weird, unfunny and awkward.
Oh you think so? Where are your comedy skits? How long have you been a totally experienced comedian worthy of handing out advice to other working comedians?
I come back to this video about once every couple years, and it never disappoints.
It takes a lot of balls to get up there. Much respect for doing that
I want his laugh, it can get you out of awkward silences! This was a great routine.
You could get it at the voice mall.
The wife voicemail bit was pretty good though
Jaret Wood that was the whole joke

I agree his approach to humor is very Kaufmanesque.
That was an awesome bit, very creative.
It’s so terrible it’s hilarious, I think thats what he was going for.
Genius to play the awkward guy because if his gig actually gets awkward it just looks like it’s part of the show.
This is so original and so well done.
A Classic for sure

Title is way off. I thought he was quite funny. I guess it's all subjective.
I understand why you think that, but if you read the description you'll see that the comedian in the video actually named the routine "blah blah blah comedian bombs"
+6oodfella I think you're missing it. The performance the real-life comedian is doing is of a bad comedian who is traumatized by the death of his wife.
+6oodfella thats how they get people to click on the video. like how you did.
+6oodfella The uploader did that to get more views
...sigh
I was at the voice mall the other day. I looked for that Australian accent but couldn’t find it.
