In some cases it really is messed up to talk down to someone who is ignorant, in part because it may well harden their stance against your viewpoint - when you are sharing a viewpoint you feel strongly about with someone, you are the *ambassador* of that viewpoint. I love comedy. I run a comedy club in the days when there were not many around. And I always hated comedians who were too brutal with hecklers. That is a weak comedian. A great comedian will be clever with hecklers. He will adjust the set, and will work with it. Just like this guy. Great stuff.

Real conservatism is about the conservation of traditional values… modern self-identified conservatives actually don’t understand what a traditional value is. For instance I am deeply Roman Catholic. My church is by definition anti-racist since we are on every continent and we are one body despite many nations. In fact millions of Arabs are catholic and I go to Mass in Arabic regularly with my Arab brethren! Also, traditional values include caring for the poor so I’m pro universal healthcare, I just have particular opinions on how that would be carried out. A REAL conservative and a leftist/progressive would actually agree on so many issues/problems, but maybe their solutions would be different. Liberals, really, are republicans aka libertarians. The ideal of the liberal is the freedom to do whatever you want, except in the end it’s that they want freedom to do what THEY want, not what YOU want. Where someone progressive/left might disagree with me, for example, is that I am pro life. However, a big reason I’m not a Republican/liberal/libertarian is because they think you shouldn’t have access to abortion, but also they have the bootstrap mentality. Like well, you can’t abort but we’re also not going to help you. While I do believe the unborn are full humans and have the same rights as any born person, I think that if you’re going to try to stop abortion you better be ready to create crisis pregnancy centers, free healthcare, free parenting training, free childcare, subsidies to help keep the family together to raise the child or quality adoption processes. I’m actually flattered that you think I have a progressive way of thinking because I think progressivism has a lot of good qualities and really has a strong desire for, well, progressing of humanity past arcane fallacies of the past. To be able to build an entertaining comedy show out of such a sad and horrible subject, to look at someone else's ignorance as "a gift"to be able to attempt to educate someone heckling you in a such a kind and informative way while continuing to inject humor at every available opportunity, and to maintain his composure and respect of differing opinions when this subject is obviously very important to him, as it should be to all of us, but he actually has family living there... Islam has contributed to women's rights, but we don't hear or talk about them. For example, Khadija, the first wife of the Prophet, proposed to him. She was 14 years older than him. The prophet was secure with her older age. Khadija was also richer. She wore the pants, so to speak. Islam insists on certain protection for women. Aisha, the last wife of the prophet, was literate, unlike the prophet. She was way more educated than him. In fact, when the prophet died, people wanted her to be the successor or the next prophet. But I won't deny that there are things about Islam that can impede women's rights too. It's like any religion.
Not that it really matters, but the average age of Palestinians is so young that most of them were not old enough to have voted for Hamas in the first place, and MANY WERE NOT EVEN ALIVE YET AT THE TIME.

I love comedy. I run a comedy club in the days when there were not many around. And I always hated comedians who were too brutal with hecklers. That is a weak comedian. A great comedian will be clever with hecklers. He will adjust the set, and will work with it. Just like this guy. Great stuff.

As a conservative (not a Republican nor have I ever been) I am here to say everything this comedian says makes 100% sense and I don’t understand how literally both sides of the aisle (the elected folk I mean) cannot understand any of this. Real conservatism is about the conservation of traditional values… modern self-identified conservatives actually don’t understand what a traditional value is. For instance I am deeply Roman Catholic. My church is by definition anti-racist since we are on every continent and we are one body despite many nations. In fact millions of Arabs are catholic and I go to Mass in Arabic regularly with my Arab brethren! Also, traditional values include caring for the poor so I’m pro universal healthcare, I just have particular opinions on how that would be carried out. A REAL conservative and a leftist/progressive would actually agree on so many issues/problems, but maybe their solutions would be different. Liberals, really, are republicans aka libertarians. The ideal of the liberal is the freedom to do whatever you want, except in the end it’s that they want freedom to do what THEY want, not what YOU want.
Where someone progressive/left might disagree with me, for example, is that I am pro life. However, a big reason I’m not a Republican/liberal/libertarian is because they think you shouldn’t have access to abortion, but also they have the bootstrap mentality. Like well, you can’t abort but we’re also not going to help you. While I do believe the unborn are full humans and have the same rights as any born person, I think that if you’re going to try to stop abortion you better be ready to create crisis pregnancy centers, free healthcare, free parenting training, free childcare, subsidies to help keep the family together to raise the child or quality adoption processes.
I’m actually flattered that you think I have a progressive way of thinking because I think progressivism has a lot of good qualities and really has a strong desire for, well, progressing of humanity past arcane fallacies of the past. Ideas like racism or colorism, or classicism.

@@QuanPookie i watched this like a month ago. i can not recall all the details. It was not as good of a comedy show that i plan to rewatch it just to answer your question, but in general i would recommend to learn history from historians and jokes from comedians. Not the other way around.

@@BNezzythe fact that even hamas is dependent on Israel??? They aren't a government they're just a body to help and lead the Palestinian cause. The gaza strip isn't controlled by hamas its by Netanyahu. Their government isn't like those of Biden and others where the government control the people no. Its like a group of cell-mates in a prison to not let the controllers be as harsh as they could normally be.
So short answer yes hamas is the government, the government which was controversial in an election which happened 18 years ago as he said only 8% people voted. Yet the control over hamas and gaza strip is of Israel and they're responsible for providing of equal rights which they are not so they are an apartheid state. Hope that helped

@@danseavec_moi I think every religion has some good and bad talking points for women's rights. But you have to be knowledgeable about them. Islam has contributed to women's rights, but we don't hear or talk about them. For example, Khadija, the first wife of the Prophet, proposed to him. She was 14 years older than him. The prophet was secure with her older age. Khadija was also richer. She wore the pants, so to speak. Islam insists on certain protection for women. Aisha, the last wife of the prophet, was literate, unlike the prophet. She was way more educated than him. In fact, when the prophet died, people wanted her to be the successor or the next prophet. But I won't deny that there are things about Islam that can impede women's rights too. It's like any religion.
Not that it really matters, but the average age of Palestinians is so young that most of them were not old enough to have voted for Hamas in the first place, and MANY WERE NOT EVEN ALIVE YET AT THE TIME.

@my0p1n10nst1nks I just mean it doesn't really matter because it's a superficial talking point that distracts from a deeper understanding, which is ironic because the grumpy guy accused the comedian of employing talking points after he responded to the brainwashed lady who used the "they _all_ voted for Hamas" talking point. The deeper understanding starts with realizing who funds and empowers Hamas to begin with because then we are able to figure out that the outcome of the voting (if it's even a legitimate election) is inevitable by design.
