Can I send swings from my yard with no golf ball? Might seem useless but I practice often without ball and my courses are all closed so it's all I can get. I found the channel yesterday and learned alot already binge watching so thanks for these.
@@obito8950 Go for it! Down the line and face on. I would highly suggest to hit something though, even if its a mushroom or a leaf or a foam ball. Without a target many things can lie.
I took a single lesson once and it was really helping me hit straight in that lesson and felt really good. I just wasn’t able to stick with it for long after that. And now I’ve forgotten what he taught me. Dumb. It was really good.
Hey man I started getting lessons in September and so far I've went for 4 lessons. However, my coach is pretty old, over 80, and I have gained nothing much or at all from those lessons. All he's been saying is my swing is good and there's nothing to improve. Whenever I hit a bad shot, he would just say to swing it slower and not use strength. So far during the lessons, there has been no drills. All he asked is for me to get a bucket of balls and start hitting. I'm afraid I have gone to a bad coach and really regret signing up for a 10 hour package for $600.
That’s sounds pretty bad I’m sorry. Did he establish goals with you, discuss anything with your fundamentals at all? Does he give you any sort of feedback at all? What if you have a discussion with him and let him know you aren’t getting much out of his approach. Where are you located by the way?
@@liongolfacademy I'm located in Singapore. So far we hadn't had any discussions on goals or fundamentals. The only feedback is probably just that sometimes I'm hitting too hard, but he didn't really show the correct way to hit as he is too old. I wanted to have a discussion with his teaching style but recently he said that he will have to pass me to another coach as his schedule didn't fit. So I will be taking my remaining hours with the new coach. Are there some things I should discuss with my new coach so I get to improve my goals?
@@liongolfacademy Right now my goals is to get to single digit handicap but not sure about what I've got to fix to get there. My irons don't go carry far and my driver carries 210y on a good shot.
@XloreX50 that’s too bad, it’s like hitting reset all over again with a new coach. Just be honest with him, tell him/her that you didn’t get anything out of the lessons. A good coach will sit you down first and discuss your goals, both short and long term. Once those have been established then the majority of the first lesson should be about assessing your motions and discussing a game plan to get you to reach your goals. The first lesson you should expect some fundamentals to be tweaked and given some drill to work on getting used to your fundamental change, almost a prescription to follow. The coach is the doctor, the patient needs to follow the prescription. It’s a team, a union to work together to get to your goals. Best of luck to you, if you want me to take a look at your swing I do a Sunday red light live event where I go over subscribers who send me their face on and down the line videos to talk about their cause and effect. Send me some videos if you ever need help. I go live every Sunday at 8pm pacific time
Don't forget the Red Light Live show on Sundays, submit your swings to me and I will help you with your cause and effect LIVE for free!
