@@PurposefullyTCG The only real plus side I see is this leader kills early rounds of R/P law, since they need their "On Play: Add 100 Don" effects to work. Other than that, I wait to eat my victory pie.
I think a funny alternative way to have written this video will be to have the Blackbeard player lose due to lack of counter. And the punchline is “Yeah you’ve discarded 6 cards over the course of this game of course you lost” 😂

Thank you! In terms of the leader actually being competitive, it’s way too early to say. Once we see all of the Blackbeard pirates support then we will know for sure. It’s very anti meta which is cool/ unique
Counter argument, i think stuff like Jack and Brook will see more play thanks to BB. Most of these blockers could've been easily taken out with Impel Down + Brook, and Jack is Jack. Who knows what kind of deck BB will be, though.
Agreed! BB will be a much more interesting deck than this (I hope). Only problem with Brook in this matchup is how slow it is when it isnt being cheated out by Rebecca or Moria, plus its stats are so small 😭great card overall tho!
@@PurposefullyTCG An idea i have for BB Support is that, they have some really good staple "Activate Main" cards with TERRIBLE On Play effects. Like "On Play, discard a life", to keep them balanced, so when fighting a BB, him using his ability can fuck THEM over as well. But yeah, maybe we'll see the return of ST6 Garp thanks to this
Btw. You trash with the 4c event 2 cards from the top of your deck and your "opponent" should have swing at his second turn 2 × with 5k attacks instead of an 8k attack with leader and he should have attack with leader + rob lucci to k.o laboon. ( just to get rid of his hand )
Blackbeard has a fatal flaw that his support will need to address. The discard means going second you only have 10 cards total to play the game. Starve them out and this deck is dead. Replenishment needs to be revealed or this deck is dead.
Agreed. Card advantage is already pretty hard to come by in black, so it will be interesting to see what the support does. At least it means Blackbeard prob can’t use his effect every turn. Instead you got to use it wisely
I suspect we will likely see some variation on “when this card is discarded by the effect of a Blackbeard pirates card” the most likely effects are “draw x cards” and “search the top x cards” we might see something like “play this card” or “you can play this card from the trash as if it were in your hand” but without something really strong in support I think this leader is just meant to scare off the e-babies who think fair means they get whatever they want because their mommy says they are special. A great direction for card design if you ask me.
