Kovu isn't Scars son. Nuka, the oldest male in Ziras pride, mutters angrily about this fact. I believe scar knew that his real son nuka just wasn't right for being king. so he tells zira that the next son she bears he would claim as his. Though whether scar was truly aware of kovus father is unknown. the mating habits of lions is a lioness goes into heat and the males will mate her every 20 minutes until she is pregnant so knowing who fathered who could be a challenge

Butter Knive thanks! I absolutely love it. And I have watched dozens of theory videos so I know a few things. I actually heard that disney attempted to imitate real lions for the lion king while using the personification method as well. I have no doubt that they probably looked into all of this.

My favorite sequels from this list are DEFINETLY; Bambi 2 & Lion King 2 ♡
I have seen all of these. For the record though I believe some of these sequals are rather well known I was kind of expecting stuff like Lady and the Tramp 2, Jungle Book 2 and 101 dalmations 2 as I believe they are less known. i believe the Lion King 2 and Little Mermaid 2 were actually quite popular. However that is just my opinion.
EDIT : I feel like this video should be called the only 12 disney sequals you know exist.

XxGamergirlxX Mcpe most of Them are made by an other studio. Disney is also the owner of this studio, onley they didn't give them enough budget
They make the movie just to make money. To do this, they use less money for decent acting, art effects/styles, and story lines. This way they make a lot more money than what they used to make the movie. They also make amazing trailers to suck the fans in. Just look at Cars 2. No where as decent as the original.

Simba's pride had a bit of a slow story but a lot of great characters to be added to the lion king universe such as Kovu, Kiara, Zira etc. and I think it fits really well with the lion king world unlike a lot of these movies

When I was in english class and we were reading romeo and juliet we were talking about knock offs and I said Lion king 2 omg the looks I got of shock from everyone except 1 other person. "THERES A LION KING 2 SINCE WHEN!" Not even the teacher knew. It was heart breaking 😭😭😭😭

I legit like Aladdin 2, The Lion King 2, 101 Dalmatians 2, and The Little Mermaid 2. I will admit some Disney sequels are bad, but the ones I listed I think are awesome.
Well, it would be good for kids to see that because they would understand that things like homosexuality or transsexuality exist. I never knew any of this until I was like 10 (and I'm 13 now). If there is gay characters in kids movies then kids around the world will grow up to think it is absolutely normal.

About The lion King 2, Kovu is not Scar's son. And since I saw the end of the original movie, I thought Simba and Nala gave birth to a male cub. Besides, the movie is 'The Lion King' and Kiara should've been a boy.
Yes, there were books of 'The Lion King: Six New Adventures', a few books of 'The Lion King', that says at the end that the cub will be the next king, and there were fan art of the male cub, instead of Kiara, or with Kiara.
no she was taking about at the end of the first movie, kion wasn't even in a thing until like 2015, the cub that was shown in TLK was gonna be called fluffy, but changed it to Kiara.

Jeana Marie Pizzo Maggio Simba had a son with Nala named Kopa. This was before the Outsiders were exiled. Zira, infuriated because Simba "killed" Scar, wanted revenge on Simba, so she killed Kopa. Then Simba found out and banished all of Scar's followers to the Outlands.

No.. maybe Nuka was.. but i think thats unlikely.. with vitani its even more unlikely mainly because vitani and kovu are close in age.. you can see it in the movie..

I knew 10/12 of these and I wanted 9 of them. All amazing. The lower budget is a bit visible in some of them but they’re still AMAZING

at that time normally most of the sequel's went straight to DVD (even the good ones like Lion King 2) Until Toy Story 2 which came out amazing and kind of broke this rule

Some of these films are what inspired me to write my Pinocchio Daughter story, Annabelle. I know there was a planned sequel for Pinocchio but it got canceled and involved Pinocchio learning life isn't always fair. I'm trying to incorporate some of the ideas for it into my story where his daughter being a puppet learns what it means to be human and about love, and friendship.

I think The Lion II is my second, I love it! But the first spot, drumroll please... Is THE LION KING! It is probably one of the most amazing and fantastic movies Disney has created. There take on Hamlet and turned into a kids movie (which I'm guessing is hard work,) is pretty amazing. The animations, voice actors, and the scene where Mufasa died. :'( Is great on how they did it, (I bought a Mufasa poster that says when they first thought of Mufasa 'till when the movie first hit theaters!) The Lion King and The Lion King II are both amazing movies.

I have seen every sequel on this list as a kid. They were all so great! Although zira's song "that's my lullaby" scarred me as a kid because it was so dark

As a chid, my favourite DVD i owned was Ariel's beginning. I've watched it so many times and I need to rewatch it soon!! It is so underrated but to me, it gives me as much joy as the real movie.
The Dark Knight, Bride of Frankenstein, Terminator 2: Judgement Day, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Aliens, Shrek 2, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, How to Train your Dragon 2, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, X Men: Days of Future Past, Hellbound: Hellraiser II, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Toy Story 2...and that's just 15 of my favorite sequels that quickly come to mind. There's probably more that I'm forgetting. Yeah, I know most of those aren't from Disney, but she didn't say we had to limit our picks to Disney sequels.

I grew up with Lion King 2 and i still love this movie today. The original had to wait a few years to be discovered by me. Zira just was awesome
