I think it was the fact that in the 90s and late 80s they did the blue screen and they played the wonderful world of color so people probably just had seen both and watching them They kind of melded Having a lot of them all together watching one after the other after the other I can see it all kind of becoming one what about the one where Tinker Bell does the golden arches or is this another mental effect there was a McDonald's commercial where she does the golden arches

Several people in their fifties-plus have already mentioned this, and I’m 52, but the comical clip of Tinkerbell trying to get her wand to work I believe was on network TV (nothing released to home video, so it wouldn’t be on the internet either) being a variation intro on “The Wonderful World of Disney.” This is going back multiple decades. However, from my recollection, it was not against the blue background, but against the lifelike castle landscape. I don’t recall the blue background variation you’re talking about.

There are some Mandela effects where I'm like, "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it used to be different, but I suppose I could be wrong." Not this one. I know for a fact that this one existed, and it existed for many years. I'm actually shocked that this is now a Mandela effect. I'm an artist, and I have an incredible memory. As a child (and even now as an adult), I pick up on and see things most people miss, whether it's the way a line is drawn or certain colors or shades. I say all that because I remember this one vividly. No way it never existed. They're obviously playing at CERN again.

I completely remember that intro. Tinkerbell flies from the bottom left, up and over to the top right of the castle, then looking leftwards she waves a wand, it doesn’t work then she waves it again. The castle was also much more detailed, not like all the intros you showed in this video. Lastly, the intro was used on almost every movie that I remember in the 90s, so it shouldn’t be that hard to find.

This is one of the two strongest Mandela Effects for me, it just blows my mind. I remember those intros perfectly.
Any Star Trek fans online this morning? The other one that pretty much blew my mind: As a Star Trek fan, finding out Captain Picard had a crystal paperweight-like object on his desk in the ready room and/or office was mind-blowing.
It was (supposedly) featured prominently on camera during briefings. Captain Picard, and sometimes even Riker, would sometimes mull over decisions while fidgeting with the crystal in their hands. According to the Mandela Effect, the paperweight was on camera like this in over 70 episodes. I have since seen stills, but haven't had the chance to look at any of the episodes.
_I am an obsessively, over-the-top, geeky Star Trek enthusiast!_ I had tons of starship models, posters, desktop computers armed with wallpapers, games, sound effects -- you name it. Later on I bought a few authentically recreated props like the tricorder and communicator (those, trust me -- not cheap!) I went to countless conventions and saw/shook hands with most of the cast from both the original series and the next generation. _I probably needed intervention for my Star Trek problem!_ Lol
I watched every episode of The Next Generation probably five times at least, and have no memory of such a famous feature of the show, one that has its own replica available for fans. (I just did a quick Google search and the first one I hit was $119.99 plus shipping.)
I have absolutely no memory of Captain Picard having this, handling it, seeing it sitting on his desk or briefing room table, or of hearing fellow fans/friends mention it, I've heard none of that. I have zero memory of it in the show. For a mega-fan like me, that is _extraordinary!_
I don't know how many other fans (millions?) are also completely baffled by this, but as a Mandela Effect, it's one of the big ones.

Whoa, while I can imagine Riker doing the one leg lift over the chair, and sitting down, then screwing around with something on Picard's desk. It's something he would do...but I can't bring up a crystal in my head at all, or any other object on his desk. I clearly remember his little flute being fondled from time to time, but not that. I've seen it recently while rewatching TNG on Netflix, I noticed every couple of episodes it would appear in Picard's hand, I was flabbergasted as I too had no memory of this crystal, but there it is. My best guess is that the show was filmed in two full screen aspect ratios, one for normal 18-35 inch, 4:9 television's, and a larger aspect ratio for the big screen rear projection screens of the 90s, and because we all have widescreen TVs now we are seeing the larger aspect ratio.

TLDR; One of the scary part of the mandela effect is that it's global.
I'm in Indonesia, Southeast Asia and I could swear up and down that I'd seen the non-existing tinkerbell intro because I distinctly, sincerely believe that I had ALWAYS felt happy & peaceful whenever I saw tink's flying and making the dot with her wand because good times is about to start -I used to love Disneys.
I used to associate cartoon intros with feelings; MGMs (impatient), Hanna Barberas (ho-hum), WBs (crazies!), Disneys (happy).
Good GOD, now I'm suppose to feel that those feeelings & memories never existed? And, no, my memories arent tainted with the other tinkerbell intros because they were never shown in my country (except maybe the one at 02:15).
Everybody knows the Berenstain Bear's mandela effect right? The show never circulated in my country but for me it has always been BerenSTEIN.
I'm exposed only to their tv show's ad page in late 80s (Marvel) comics. If anybody remembers, it's the one with The Smurfs, Punky Brewster and Alvin & The Chipmunks.
Wikipedia argues that because the proper name is Bernstein, everybody must unconsciously believe the name was Berenstein.
Now, how in the sweet mother earth-moon-and star could a 9th grade kid with poor english and almost zero Germanic (& Yiddish?) language/culture read "stein" instead of "stain"?

@@AllTimeScary It means a lot to US. You know when you notice something subconsciously, but you kinda don't allow it to reach your logical mind quite? Or maybe for a moment... but then you dismiss it with a thought (from where idk... yourself? hmmm) that goes like "they must have changed it. that sux" or "why would they change that" but then you just FORGET about it. Thinking the next time u see a Disney movie it will be in this one. Then it's not. You're like "huh ok". Then again, you don't see it & it lowkey bothers you (subconsciously) but that's it. Til eventually you don't even think about it. U just KINDA have this weird irk when you see the logo. Which then comes to the conclusion of them telling you "You will accept this even though the one w Tink was better. U won't remember." What I'm TRYING to poorly describe wishing I spoke a better language to attempt this one..... IS THAT IT HAS THE EFFECT OF WE CONTROL YOUR THOUGHTS. U WANNA WATCH THIS MOVIE? TAKE IT.
Then the programming HAS you. Like a spell. The wand was like the spell from Tink programming our minds to them. Making us think differently about the world. Also look what she was wearing & for SO LONG. Her butt was hanging out! It normalized this behavior subconsciously & Disney is SOOOOO over sexualized for KIDS MOVIES. So it WAS an agenda of theirs & just look at them now! They're straight up e-v-i-l. Oddly enough I kinda think I said to a friend "where's Tink" at some point but I'm not sure THAT happened or if I only thought it. Then like I said it just faded from my mind. Normally stuff like that really bugs me & I will vocalize it. WHAT I'M SAYING IS IT WAS LIKE A SPELL. & I think CERN thinks this stuff is REALLY funny. They HAVE to be the ones doing it or VHS tapes would still have it on there. I also think they STUDY these comment sections & have a good old time. Then think up MORE genius things to change. Or maybe they always knew they could rediscover this old Atlantian tech & made plans to change things when they were able to. This is why adding the Aladdin tranny Tink is SO CRAZY!!! Look at what it's telling you! Look around NOW. THIS IS INSANE.
So you did great making this FOR THIS REASON: It makes you go BACK to that time when you turned that OFF & just accepted it then basically forgot, even tho we DIDNT. It's mind bending, that's why it's SO hard to explain. I tried lol
But on the other hand, it might also make some people realize the Mandela IS real & not be able to deal with it. I worry people will think reality isn't real & let's say they were suicidal already... that could put them over the edge. I still think LIFE IS REAL but they can change things now with CERN which is OLD tech, they rediscovered. Somehow melding the evil spiritual world with tech. They used ancient writings & diagrams to build these things. That's why they do these ancient pagan rituals before hand & post it! It's not a nerd joke! THEY ARE CONJURING UP STUFF & then colliding atoms together bending space time! Maybe they can talk to demonic things at that time, a WORM HOLE opens & they can go in the past. Kill the person who came up with the Tink idea or shoot it down in all the meetings saying something like "Christians will think it's witchcraft & not watch our movies so we can't use Tink like that plus she doesn't HAVE a wand so it won't work". THATS how it happens I feel. Maybe another timeline, reality entirely. OR maybe they just can go in the past & make changes...which feels more true to me somehow.
Sorry for ranting but I feel like that's all being overlooked. Please make more Mandela vids. And FU CERN people. I know you are reading this.

It was the opening before every made for TV movie/show that aired on Sunday nights, right after Wild Kingdom, brought to you by Mutual of Omaha. Watched this every Sunday growing up in the early to mid 1970's. I recall Tink flying over the castle and the tap of her wand causing sparkles to rain down. Being perfectly honest, I remember her tapping the highest spire on the castle. I'm 100% sure her wand not working happened either in the late 1990's or early 2000's. They would normally broadcast two half-hour episodes from different shows back to back. Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Duck Tales and many other similar shows would normally be shown every Sunday. It is absolutely crazy that this is now considered a mass hallucination. I have this memory too… I think either someone stepped on a bug and changed the course of history (but some of us still have memories of how it used to be), or about Tinkerbell reshaping her wand… (which I too vividly remember) this could be partially from the scene in Disney’s original Cinderella, where the Fairy Godmother tries to get her wand to work (by tapping it on her hand). This was in the ‘Bibbidy-Bobbidy-Boo’ scene. Apparently sometimes your mind takes part of a memory and matches it up to a similar one.

This is the one that made a believer out of me. It took me from being on the fence about the whole M.E. thing to completely, wholeheartedly believing CERN messed with the timeline somewhere around 2012. And what sealed it forever was watching in almost somewhat realtime flip flops in Apollo 13 where the famous line was changed and I'd check up again after a few months and it had changed back. That's when I knew that we understand nothing about the nature of our reality. NOTHING is what it seams. I know that sounds crazy. I know it doesn't seem logical. But once you get into the rabbit hole that is CERN, anything is possible. We are not in Kansas anymore. That's for sure. And as I write this watch that famous line change months or even years from now. Lol You can't trust anything anymore. But if we all have a collective memory of something happening, I'd rather trust that. We can't all be having the same collective memories spanning generations, cultures, languages, and being on opposite sides of the globe. It's either cern or a massive psyop. It's one or the other.

Depends on what time line you are in. Time shifted, the Mandela effect is real.
Supposedly when the Hadron Collider was turned on it changed the weight of a single atom and created an alternate timeline.
How do I know it's real? I saw Ratt (the band) win Star Search. My little brother saw it too and laughed when they won because I had said they are good but they'll never go anywhere with a name like rat, and he remembers that.
I too remember Mandela dying in prison in 1980 or 1981, when he was released later I chalked it up to my ADHD but it's not.
In this timeline Ratt was never on Star Search, Looney Toons (as in cartoons) is now Looney Tunes (as in songs), I DID have a cornucopia on my Fruit of the Loom underwear (now it was never there it's just a Thanksgiving prop), and the Disney thing even though not shown came on Sunday nights at 6pm CST in the 70's, and it showed Tinkerbell dotting the i of Disney at the end.

I am one of many people here who agree they vividly remember the Tinkerbell intro. Except I don't remember her dotting the "i" in Disney, I remember her touching the very top of the castle. I also remember the wand not working and her hitting it to make it work again. I own not only every single Masterpeice Collection animated VHS they produced in the 80s and 90s, but a few obscure ones like Sleepy Hollow and the Wind in the Willows. Another one called "The Walt Disney Comedy and Magic Revue". When I first started watching your video, I instantly knew you wouldn't find it in the old animated VHS tapes. I thought you may find it in the older live-action classics, but you covered that in this video. The only thing I can think that happened is that maybe the intro we are looking for wasn't on a VHS tape. Someone in the comments mentioned it could have been an intro to an old show they did such as Pooh Corner, but I don't believe any of the shows used the castle/tinkerbell intro. Perhaps there were different intros for VHS release from the distribution facility and the Disney movies they occasionally played on TV. But the only way to rule that out is if someone has a copy of or has uploaded a home-made vhs recording of a Disney movie being broadcast on TV in the 80s/90s and happened to capture the intro.

The Tinkerbell intro that you're looking for is older than that. It wasn't from the movies. The intro was shown on their Sunday night television program where they showed movies. I think that it was on ABC. It was before they had the Disney Channel. That was back in the 70's. The background was also a darker blue and the castle wasn't a simple lined drawing. It was in full color animation.

I absolutely remember both her dotting the logo (don’t remember specifically the i, but it could have been) as well as the broken wand version. That broken wand version was more rare. I think I only had that version on one of my tapes. A lot of my Disney films were TV recordings on VHS tapes. Not sure which channels they came from (they were passed down to me). Some were retail VHS as well. The Tinker Bell intro was more rare for me than the traditional, basic blue background and castle.

I've watched many Disney Movies from the Classics to Modern. I've even watched many Disney shows, but I (actually) don't recall this intro, y'all are looking for. I only remember the Walt Disney Classic Collection one. It's possible to be mixing up ALL of them. In regards to the wand "not working" or her "shaking it", I can only think people are mixing up Tinker Bell with the Fairy Godmother from Cinderella who DOES shake her wand but IDK.
The ONLY "Mandela Effect" for me is I could've SWORN Sidbad had his own "genie" movie, but I must've mixed up his "All That" appearances and that one time he dressed like a pirate. I believe we may just be mixing up our memories and creating false memories (which is a real thing).

Ok. So I got here bc of a fb post complaining about it and decided to do a little (read: hour long) search. Yours is the most comprehensive compilation I’ve seen. As I was watching, I thought of something: I feel like I remember the “frustrated tinkerbell shaking her wand for it to work” perhaps in a MOVIE THEATER intro. I’m an elder millennial, so I largely fell off of a lot of Disney presentations by the late 90’s. But what I’m thinking I remember is sitting in a theater in my late adolescence or early adulthood to see one of the select movies in theaters I wanted to see. I feel like it may have been one of the early PIXAR movies, because there was the early Pixar lamp and THEN a Walt Disney intro (or vice versa). It kind of makes sense if I may have it reversed where Disney was first, and then Pixar swooped in…like, Tink couldn’t get her wand to work, finally did, and then Pixar came in with their new technology. So, while appreciate the legwork you put into video/dvd, maybe it was theater film? I really feel like I remember chuckling at it in a theater-and wouldn’t it make sense that so many of us remember it if it was one of those early blockbuster hits??? I don’t know how easy it would be to find that, but IF it really does exist, I truly think that might be the place to look-late 90’s early 00’s Pixar that all of us were flocking to go see in the theater.

I must admit it's the most mind boggling mandela effect I've stumble upon and I do remember a tinkerbell on the blue castle, the wand not working, etc.
That being said, I remember as well that these intros were often changing. And now that I've seen the Masterpiece Collection intro, I remember that all our vhs at home were from this collection, and I even remember wondering why tinkerbell was so important for Disney (I never really liked Peter Pan).
So here's a probable explanation : as kids, we just thought of the shooting star behind the castle and every glittery appearance on it as tinkerbell since we had other exemples of her as a trail of light when she's flying fast. For kids, this glittery appearances and how the Walt Disney name was written by it sometimes was unconsciously explained as : well, it's simple, it's tinkerbell!
I know that might seem an unsatisfying explanation, but I do think it's plausible that the mind of millions of childs of this era made this simple association and just assumed that it was Tinkerbell all along and not just some shooting star or glitter effect.
And if that's the case, that kinda show how much of a stimulation Disney was for our imagination and how deeply it made us feel in a wonderland while listening to these movies.

The problem in trying to find some of these intros is that I am 100% positive the ones missing were locked behind tv commercials or some intros dated back in the 90's that was aired only, no dvd/ no vhs tape, nothing, you would have to be a lucky soul to still have a manual recorded version from those times. I promise you it did exist, but you just wont find it if there are no source materials from old 90's-2000 tv, not everything successfully transferred to youtube/ online media

Yup, I remember it! Tinkerbell frustratedly shaking her wand until it worked made me laugh as a kid. It definitely existed!
But as you say, it could be just lost media, not everything made it to the internet after all.
I can even now think of a few examples of sketches from comedy shows that you just can't find proof of anywhere online!
(For example, the Lenny Henry show sketch, where the aid worker is giving the African official a cheque, he tells him it's to be spent on the needy etc, but the second he hands the money over the official says "Weeell, then again!" and proceeds to outline some ridiculous idea he actually plans to use the money on. Used to be hilarious, but I assume it's because it was soooo un-PC that it either got deleted or was never allowed to be uploaded!)
The Mandela effect is tricky because it relies on proof for our memories, and sometimes something DID exist / happen, it's just there's no physical proof of it, it's only left in what people remember.

  • @the_cheese
    @the_cheese ปีที่แล้ว

I have two ideas, that aren't really theories: 1. The intros everyone remembers are from motion picture releases of Disney movies, which were seen in theaters but not transcribed to the home video releases. 2. It was a TV commercial bumper on either Disney Channel or on ABC during the Disney Afternoon cartoon block (DuckTales, Chip'N'Dale's Rescue Rangers) in the early 1990s. I say this as I have vague memories of the Tinkerbell intro, and I saw the early 1990s movies in the theaters but never on VHS or DVD, and I watched DuckTales on weekday afternoons as an adult in the early 1990s.
I am not certain of either of these, but the intros being a movie theater-only thing would explain why lots of folks remember them but there is no extant recording of them.
    Thanks for this cool video!

This world keeps getting weirder and weirder. I wish we could find out what is really going on. I remember Tinker Bell always doting the I, with the castle in the background for years. I took my nephew to a lot of Disney movies in the 1980's and 1990's and he liked the animated ones. I also remember the Wonderful World of Color on tv with Tinker Bell make all the colors with her magic wand. I think Disney was one of the first NBC programs broadcast in color back in the 1960's. After a few years, I remember the tv show switching to an intro with Tinkerbell and the castle, and her using her magic wand to dot the i.

    Got a few theories:
    - have you looked at Disney releases from the 2000-2010 as well? Disney had a habit of rereleasing films from their vault with lots of edits and special features. It’s possible it was an edited version of the OG logo scene with a little extra flair for the dvd release?
-are people getting mixed up with their newer logo scene? Or even that longer one where we tour the castle and see a bunch of Disney characters while either when you wish upon a star or whole new world is playing and tinker bell is flying around the castle
-is it possible that it was a promotion bumper thing on the Disney channel? Like when they had a couple minutes before scheduled programs they’d always do some little promotional scenes for whatever movie was premiering at the time or just a general love of Disney vibe like “look how far we’ve come” type vibe.

I'm going to pause the video, at only one minute in, and assume people are remembering scenes from either the Wonderful World of Disney on Disney Channel, or the Disney FastPlay opening on DVDs.
EDIT: Ok, having watched the whole video, it's those and WAY more. But that just means this isn't the Mandela Effect. It's obviously just people mixing up the various versions into one memory. Which is an easy thing to have happen, when you got a million of these openings, most with the exact same animation, many with a castle in the background, and most of them with a blue background and the same music playing.
