Tragically, Heath and Lee both died at 28. Brandon's last role was The Crow and Health was the Joker. Lastly, Lee blew up a store while Heath blew up the Gotham Hospital. Isn't that weird right? But I love both of them and is still my favorite fictional character in the films.
I think it was his true break thru role. Rapid Fire I think had limited impact, but he was amazing in The Crow, like he was meant for it. I think he would have gone on to get other great opportunities after this. It's sad.
There's a reason that movie's such as the crow and the warriors were not meant to be touched. They are perfect reflections of their time. And by being perfect mirrors, they transcend their time and become timeless.
I'm not so sure, there are a lot of excellent actors out there. The question is, is the time right? The crow could appear because it was a special time, it was relevant to the global feeling or chaos, decrepitude, but also poetry and mysticism. While I do believe we have reached that time again when people lose faith in non violence as mean to achieve grander virtues such as justice, and are embracing the paradox of it, I'm not convinced of the romanticism of our era. I say romanticism as opposed to realism, as in feelings over reason. Nowadays, darker is associated with realism, to the point that the darker it get, the more "realist" it pretends to be. Can the Crow, an artwork fundamentally poetic and romantic, flourish in such an environment? Maybe it's worth the bet.

They should never remake The Crow. Leave Eric Draven be. If they want to use The Crow's mythology with a whole set of new characters, go for it. Hell, after looking into City of Angels, I'd be interested in seeing their original vision made (honestly, look it up it's interesting). There's been so many garbage sequels that it confuses me why they feel we need to redo the ONE good one. Oh, and Jason Mamoa is a total miscast as Eric Draven. I'm glad he's not playing him.
Yeah Momoa is too pompous and big to play The Crow, I don't his personality as Aquaman, he's just a surfer dude who tries to be king of Atlantis. It doesn't work at all and I'm glad he left this project too, because we need someone like the guy who played Quicksilver to do it. He's the perfect size and has played a crazy person on American Horror Story as well.
GREAT VIDEO BUT YOUR ANALYSIS RAISES ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION THAT HAS NEVER BEEN ANSWERED: WHY WAS THE WEAPONS EXPERT SENT HOME EARLY WHEN THEY WERE ABOUT TO FILM A SCENE THAT INVOLVED USING A REAL GUN?
Exactly! The whole set should've been shut down too. Someone set this up. Why TF would real bullets be used ever on a movie set,?? I remember when this happened I live next to Wilmington n I believe he was set up
Brandon is the Only Crow I ever need to see. I was 7 when if came out. I bought the CD & it came with a poster & a playing Card. He was supsossed to get married in 2 weeks after filming wrapped up. RIP Brandon.
True, but scary fact, is that Brandon Lee died the same age as Heath Ledger. Both of them even died during the making of each movies they were in. Lee and Ledger were both 28 years old at the time of their own deaths.
Jose Carbajal It’s just pure coincidence. I never said there was a Joker stunt double after his death. But, he was replaced by Bane after the Dark Knight. But still, it’s a damn shame Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger died at such a young age. It was too early for them. 😢
Jose Carbajal umm no. He died during the filming of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and they changed the script to make it so his character changes his look when he transfers through realms. His character ended up also being played by Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law in the final cut.
So Brandon was killed during his scenes as the mortal Eric Draven and when he becomes the Crow who can't be killed by gunfire, Brandon survives the ton of shots fired at him on set. Eerie as frick.
Tommy Cipriani I think all the actors in the origional were great. I say no reboot. Sometimes a movie made is just that! A good movie already done right.
THE CROW is my number one movie Over all the movies I've seen in my entire life. The crow is my number one movie not because of the violence...the story is very fascinating and gets me emotionally invested.
I grew up watching original and it will ALWAYS be one of my favorite movies ever. I refuse to watch any remakes. Brandon Lee IS the Crow and CANT EVER be replaced PERIOD! He is Legendary in this film its HIS and ALWAYS will be! RIP Brandon Lee🙏🏼
Heath Ledger, who also died tragically young and just before the release of what was going to be his most applauded role, is way too similar...even the white pasty makeup is the same. Coincidence?
Never coincidence! .. im not a tin foiler, but when they was making "the dark knight" , i was constantly watching "the crow" ..i had one of them weird feelings! Intuition and shieeet .. ⌛
The Crow was one of my favourite films from the 90s. I really hope that Brandon Lee would have been incredibly proud of his work and the film. It makes one hell of a great epitaph for his career. RIP Brandon Lee.
Jvonte 07 they had planned to, but as the video said (and it is known publicly) his family gave the team their blessing to finish as Brandon would’ve wanted them to finish
Watching this still affects me, I was a big fan of Brandon Lee since Laser Mission, it felt like a family member had just passed when I heard the news.
Rochelle Davis who played Sarah (The young skater girl who helps Eric Draven) stopped acting after his death (it was her only film role until 2009). She got married and had a daughter. She was in an abusive marriage, so she ran away from him. She then hooked up with 'Sex, Money, Murder' a set of the Bloods gang. The set ran their drug (crack & heroin) business out of her house. Police raided the house and during the search a Police officer noticed a picture of her and Brandon Lee. He inquired about this and told him she was the little girl in The Crow and stated his death affected her immensely. Her and 8 other gang members were arrested on drug and weapons charges. She ended up spending 4 months in jail. She is now back into acting and hopefully doing a lot better.
They should never try to do a Crow reboot. It is perfect as it is and they could never improve upon it. That is part of Brandon’s legacy and I don’t want to see him wiped away from that or forgotten. No one could fill his shoes. He was a special soul.
I remember Brandon for his brilliance in this movie and for not what happened to him. We all should. Accident murder...We'll probably never know. Rest in peace.
Goes without saying the original was the best, and should NEVER be rebooted... But i always thought the sequels got a bad rap.. I dug 'em. I think Momoa would have been a decent Crow... But NOT as Eric Draven!
This movie is a beautiful work of art. Making a reboot is just gonna hurt the already diehard fans of the original. This was Brandon's movie, star & lead, using his own style, his martial arts, quoting Edgar Allen Poe. Respect him, respect James O'Barr who lost his fiance, respect the fans who truly appreciate & love this movie. My name's Angel, and I say please...no reboot. Rest In heavenly Peace Brandon.
Just watched the movie on TH-cam...amazing, absolutely stunning performance from Lee. My God, he would've been one of the biggest stars after this movie. So sad what happened to him. RIP Brandon.
Really diggiN. That idea and concept. I say Hollywood, go for it. Dark gothic comic style with 80s retro soundtrack. It's catchy, keeps ya interested and wanting more. Set the dark back drops, dark night gothic set, rain, show signs of reasoning and justic occasionally in the Draven character, maybe even a Cliff Burton bass solo in the movie with the soundtrack. And could be a beginning of a great comeback. Not just a Remake of the Brandon Lee film, more of new characters, not taking away from the beloved original Lee film. This has been one of my all-time FAVS since the 90s, I know and luv many classic films, used to write and act a little on home videos, short stories I wrote back then. My son now even goes to college studying film and works as a short film Director. Creates short films for school, if we had enough support and beliefe it can be done, we would actually do that sort of film together. Father & Son creating an underground retro gothic comic version of ... "The Crow: The Rain of Justice"
No one will ever portray Eric Draven well as Brandon Lee, this movie doesn't need a reboot it's amazing the way it is. There are characters in movies that will never be equalized by any other actor, like Heath ledger for the joker, Brandon Lee for Eric Draven and Mel Gibson for mad max....no matter how many reboots they will never be equalized.

Anyway, Brandon, tell you dad he’s awesome. I love this movie, its music and everything is just perfect for the story.
Nobody can be Brandon Lee
Really? I thought someone could be someone else
But I’m Batman 🤓
They should never remake The Crow. Leave Eric Draven be. If they want to use The Crow's mythology with a whole set of new characters, go for it. Hell, after looking into City of Angels, I'd be interested in seeing their original vision made (honestly, look it up it's interesting). There's been so many garbage sequels that it confuses me why they feel we need to redo the ONE good one.
Oh, and Jason Mamoa is a total miscast as Eric Draven. I'm glad he's not playing him.
Crossy mamoa really?
I don't hate him or anything, he just doesn't fit Draven at all, and I don't think he has the vulnerability needed for the part.
I agree, Eric draven is buff, but not massive like mamoa
Yeah Momoa is too pompous and big to play The Crow, I don't his personality as Aquaman, he's just a surfer dude who tries to be king of Atlantis. It doesn't work at all and I'm glad he left this project too, because we need someone like the guy who played Quicksilver to do it. He's the perfect size and has played a crazy person on American Horror Story as well.
They should do the story called Dead Time. Different character and interesting concept.
He had a family emergency that day.
@@yc0995 Ya, the Yakuza was threatening his family. 🤣
Exactly! The whole set should've been shut down too. Someone set this up. Why TF would real bullets be used ever on a movie set,?? I remember when this happened I live next to Wilmington n I believe he was set up
@@TruecrimerSalad It was set up you say?

12bfost it was on purpose. it was one of many stunts to make the movie look actually cursed.
Leave it alone!!! The fact it hasn’t been remade is a sign it shouldn’t. This is Brandon Lee’s legacy. Just leave it alone.
Ledger already completed his principle photography. Didnt need extra movie magick. What youre trying to imply is pure cheese.
Jose Carbajal It’s just pure coincidence. I never said there was a Joker stunt double after his death. But, he was replaced by Bane after the Dark Knight.
But still, it’s a damn shame Brandon Lee and Heath Ledger died at such a young age. It was too early for them. 😢
Ledger died after they finished filming...you are an idiot
Jose Carbajal umm no. He died during the filming of The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and they changed the script to make it so his character changes his look when he transfers through realms. His character ended up also being played by Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law in the final cut.
Paynan Diaz Played by three actors?? I had no idea.
So Brandon was killed during his scenes as the mortal Eric Draven and when he becomes the Crow who can't be killed by gunfire, Brandon survives the ton of shots fired at him on set. Eerie as frick.
*Brandon Lee and MICHAEL WINCOTT made the original a classic.*
Tommy Cipriani I think all the actors in the origional were great. I say no reboot. Sometimes a movie made is just that! A good movie already done right.
wincott was awsome
THE CROW is my number one movie
Over all the movies I've seen in my entire life. The crow is my number one movie not because of the violence...the story is very fascinating and gets me emotionally invested.
"This is the really real world, there ain't no coming back." That is a quote that is true. You can't remake The Crow.
Mother is the name for God on the lips and hearts of all children. Do you understand?
i think of that quote every day
Amazing quote that stuck w me to this day.

This was my favorite movie as a teenager like many others. I named my son Brandon unsurprisingly after Brandon Lee
How uninspiring sir.
Its crazy because Brandon means raven. My name is Brandon.
@skullsxr Did I say that I was the only one who named their son Brandon? No. The answer is no. Shithead
Leave. It. Alone. It's perfect as it is. It doesn't need a reboot. And in three years time, can we please have it re released on the big screen again?
everyone thought crow 2 was bad but the ones after it made it look way way better

The Crow is my absolute favorite movie of all time
I can’t believe that this movie is 25 years old this year! Still on of my favourites.
This is the most timeless film thats ever been made.
Even the look still holds up in todays standards.
*Phenomenal*
Stevie Wonder can see this wasn’t an “Accident”.
The amount of symbols in this film smh
People acquainted with firearms can see that it was
He was murdered on set while filming is correct
Heath Ledger, who also died tragically young and just before the release of what was going to be his most applauded role, is way too similar...even the white pasty makeup is the same. Coincidence?
Never coincidence! .. im not a tin foiler, but when they was making "the dark knight" , i was constantly watching "the crow" ..i had one of them weird feelings! Intuition and shieeet .. ⌛
Coincidence??
Yes. Yes it is.
Yes they are both even 28
The Crow was one of my favourite films from the 90s. I really hope that Brandon Lee would have been incredibly proud of his work and the film. It makes one hell of a great epitaph for his career. RIP Brandon Lee.
Should of left It alone when Brandon passed. Rip Brandon Lee
I don't think losing Jason Momoa as the Crow was a curse, more like a gift. The role just doesn't suit him at all. Great actor though
Keanu Reeves hands down
If a man could be beautiful, Brandon Lee truly was!! ❤
In all of the shots behind the scene in this video he was smiling ♡
Wow...That hurt me hearing that story. It fucked me up when he died too..
😥😥
Actually not very accurate but always love seeing what people say when they are just saying whatever like they ARE me and lived my life smh

I only like the original crow with Brandon Lee!!!!!
City of Angels is the next best in the series.
Easy.. 😩
"It can't rain all the time"

I named my son after Brandon & I called my daughter Shannon which I found out later is Brandon Lee's sister's name!
That’s awesome!

My dad was going to name me Brandon after Brandon Lee if I was a boy
@arv4572 I was thinking the same. 😂
No leave the Crow alone, nothing competes with the original
They should just put the original in theaters again
Yes especially for the 30 year anniversary of the movie 2024
I still watch this film still atleast once a week, it's an all time classic I love the soundtrack and it's a homage to the 90's RIP BRANDON LEE
Just watched the movie on TH-cam...amazing, absolutely stunning performance from Lee. My God, he would've been one of the biggest stars after this movie. So sad what happened to him. RIP Brandon.
Nothing is as amazing as the original. There’s no need to remake a masterpiece.
Victims aren’t we all! R.I.P Brandon
The crow brandon lee the joker heath ledger these 2 character look alot alike and this 2 actors died playing them is this a coincidence ?

Absolutely love this movie one of my favorite of all times
this movie was so good and that dark character amazingly potrayed by Brandon Lee., its a classic that should not be remade
I wouldn’t mind seeing a film adaptation that’s closer to the comic. Give it an 80’s goth soundtrack, too: Joy Division, The Cure, Bauhaus.
I actually like The Crow and The Crow City of Angels. I don't think they're ever going to make another Crow movie.
There are like 5 crows movies love the one with David boreanaz in
ashley rowland that's the crow wicked prayer, Edward Furlong plays Jimmy Cuervo AKA Jimmy Crow
Honestly I think a crow animated series would be kind of cool to see, especially if they did it in the same style of the spawn series in the 90s.
this movie is .. beyond incredible
