He was Gen X's version of Heath Ledger. Someone who was just starting out in the acting world, had his own future ahead of him, was taken all too soon by unfortunate circumstances, and will forever be remembered for the one role that solidified his legacy at the age of 28.
@vintageretro83 the millennial generation began in 1980, and lasted until 1995. Gen Z is the start of 2000, but you might as well include 98 and 99, since they wouldn't be much older. but Heath is a 70's baby, and the 70's wasn't called Gen X, and you can't call the 80's that, because it's not.
As a 42 year old man, I vividly remember my dad introducing me to Bruce Lee movies in the late 1980's, and I instantly fell in love. Bruce Lee became one of my heroes. Then a few years later I discovered that his son was also an actor who did martial arts. I watched "Show Down In Little Tokyo" and just as I did with his father, I fell in love. "Rapid Fire" was one of my favorite action movies growing up. I just knew he was going to be a MEGA STAR!! I was so excited to learn of the movie "The Crow", because at that time, thanks to my older cousins, I was into that dark (goth) stuff and the music associated with it. I remember learning of Brandon Lee’s passing, that was the first time I had ever cried over the death of someone I didn’t know. I couldn’t believe it. I didn’t want to believe it. At that time my father worked as a prop maker for Paramount Pictures and he got in contact with a buddy of his who got me a "The Crow" movie poster, an original print, mint condition. It was professionally mounted and framed. Till this day, it's STILL hanging up in my house. 30yrs later, still mint, and Brandon is still my hero. RIP.

@@daviddoyle8956 There are plenty of amazing remakes out there that not only honor the original but sometimes surpass it. A remake can be fantastic if it improves upon the original through modern filmmaking techniques while still respecting the source material. Making a remake is a challenge because it needs to retain the essence of the original, evoke the same nostalgia, and still appeal to newer generations of audiences. Some standout remakes include *The Fly*, *Dune*, *The Departed*, *The Thing*, *The Jungle Book*, *It*, *War of the Worlds* (a better version compared to the 1953 film), *The Mummy*, *Twelve Monkeys*, and *Blade Runner 2049* (one of the best remakes out there).

I came across the soundtrack to the original 1993 film 9 years ago & it was so good. “Golgotha Tenement Blues” by Machines of Loving Grace is the stand-out and I am disappointed I didn’t discover that & this legendary film any sooner. May Brandon’s soul rest in peace.
I got a chill in thinking, if Massey took so much guilt which he felt for shooting Brandon in the stomach (something he should never have felt, but he unfortunately did) I think part of him, finding out he himself would later have stomach cancer, he may have had a passing thought "This is my punishment for shooting Brandon in the stomach." If I felt guilt, that thought would cross my mind, but I hope he didn't. It wasn't his fault.
I was 6 or 7 when Brandon was shot, and it's one of my earliest memories. The Crow and Rapid Fire are two great action movies. He might not have passed his father in the martial artist but he would have been a bigger movie star.
Michael Massee never could fully live with himself after what had happened even up till his death in 2016. He said he would still have nightmares from it. He couldn't even bring himself to EVER watch the finished movie. This was truly a unfortunate accident
Wow. So impressed with Mama Lee being so strong after her husband's death and then her son's. Her strength helped her kids cope and understand the death of their father. That's the best gift a parent can give to their children.
It must be hard losing a husband and a son who were on a verge to make it big Hollywood. Brandon death comes as a certain reminder and warning that we should be careful of the certain weapons and props that we are using on set cuz it can cause major damage someone who is in the wrong place and the wrong time.
unbelievable tragedy. Absolute classic movie, to think what sequels with him would have been like. He had a career ahead of him. That bloodline seems cursed
Because we do not know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. And yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you cannot conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, or five times more? Perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps twenty. And yet it all seems limitless. RIP Brandon Lee 😢

Re-doing my comment. There is a difference between what happened on The Crow, and on Rust. Regardless, two innocent lives were lost over a pile of horrible mistakes. I think it's disgusting though on how Hollywood decided to reboot The Crow. Given that what the original cast, and his family went through to complete the original in Brandon's memory.
How it's different? In both cases innocent lives were taken because of Armorer's and crew's negligence 😑 only difference there is that in case of the Brandon no one was charged or held responsible, other than that both cases are quite similar.
@@TviTNineeKikson They are similar, but the actions of others are different. Brandon wasn't holding the gun, and Alec was. Brandon's case was taken to court, but because there were so many at fault, it was settled out of court.

The remake coming out wont even come close
It already came out and it was horrible.
@@estaniait was a hilariously bad movie. I enjoyed it how fucking bad it was.
@@_kiaz_ It sure was. I had a good laugh watching it. 🤣
Probably as bad or worse than the Freddy movie that came out with out Robert England playing the part. Stop doing remakes they suck and will never live up to the original movie. I watch one remake of something years ago it was crap never watched another and all those terrible movies made from the 70's and early 80's TV series they made a joke out of them. Holly Wood is getting lazy tons of books out there make something from them.
I still remember being in middle school so heart broken at his death. I’m so glad to see the industry paying some much deserved respect to his memory ❤❤
I was in high school when it happened I was just so sad and to hear about it and how careless can Hollywood be
My thoughts and prayers are with Linda Lee Shannon and Shannon Brandon Lee's sister I should not have happened to him randomly was so young it should not have happened to him when I think about March 31st I think about the day that he died they're both gentle spirits and date there are in heaven and there with each other now those who are in a better place and they're watching Linda from a better place
May both of them rest in peace in heaven 🕊️🙏☯️
Brandon is The Crow and there will never be other actor like him again.
Hard to believe Brandon Lee's passing was 31 years ago already he was such an amazing actor it's sad that he was killed onset he's been gone 31 years and I still miss his acting he was too young to die and didn't deserve to die 😢 💔
It was a dumb idea to remake a classic.
The fact that there's adults that weren't alive when he was killed now makes me feel old....the fact i grew up watching his father's movies, i wasnt alive when his father died and im almost 50 makes me feel like time flies smh
This movie is an occult classic that should be in a volt. The new film is a blatant disrespect to the family of Brandon, and Bruce Lee. There shouldn't have been a remark . Rest in peace 🙏🏻 🕊 . The iconic film was only meant to be made once , and end with Bruce Lee. Rip Bruce Lee.
I agree
It's a movie relax its not that deep
@@AdrenaWest787 Well, it wasn’t an “occult” classic 😈. That would be a very different video
The movie wasn’t good
As a wise man once said for his role i repeat to this theres only one crow and will only ever be one crow !
Only Brandon Lee.
I miss Brandon 😢he was an amazing person so humble and great to be around
As a major Bruce Lee fan as a kid, I was 12 when he died, my dad showed me in the newspaper the news of his death. I still have the newspaper clipping in my scrapbook.
“Little things used to mean so much to Shelly. I used to think they were kind of trivial. Believe me, nothing is trivial.”
We love you Brandon, everyone who meet him still remember him with so much love, everyone who saw his films still remember you those moments are very emotional when we remember him, Bruce and Brandon are two stars who will never be never forgot, real love is forever, we love you Eliza,Shannon,Linda, Wren 💗 🙏 💫

@@K9_NINA yes I see this I know, I think we just ignore them but keep showing what we feel, there’s no way people like this person will stop us, :-)
I came across the soundtrack to the original 1993 film 9 years ago & it was so good. “Golgotha Tenement Blues” by Machines of Loving Grace is the stand-out and I am disappointed I didn’t discover that & this legendary film any sooner. May Brandon’s soul rest in peace.
Excellent song
Thanks for sharing! It is pretty good!
Nobody asked for this remake nobody 😡
To this day, seeing Brandon Lee brings me great sadness. I was a fan before The Crow and remember when I heard he died.
Your right it was this guy’s fault m.th-cam.com/video/xm-_HgdnLww/w-d-xo.html
I noticed that connection as well. He probably internalized a lot of guilt and it tore him up.
I was 6 or 7 when Brandon was shot, and it's one of my earliest memories. The Crow and Rapid Fire are two great action movies. He might not have passed his father in the martial artist but he would have been a bigger movie star.
Rapid fire . Showdown in little tokyo
Hey ,can I have your number so we can chat better
RIP Brandon Lee 😢
when I saw the veins in Linda Lee neck when she said were managing couldnt hold my tears. I could feel her pain she was just crying without tears while holding a smile. Love to the Bruce Lee Family strong people.
Brandon was so awesome. He had such a bright future ahead of him. I still can’t believe this happened to him.
I never forget when I heard the news of his passing. It seemed unbelievable, because he was in rapid fire and now he was doing interviews about the crow, then weeks after he passed.

Happened so long ago but still just as heartbreaking. To think what could have happened to Brandon’s career. He’s so good in the movie I think he really would reached that upper echelon. RIP Brandon.
Ever since it was first released The Crow has remained to this day as my all time favorite movie. It will be my favorite film til the day I die. You are sorely missed, Brandon... Rest easy.
Nobody can replace Brandon Lee in The Crow!! 💙
Absolutely nobody
RIP Bruce and Brandon, legends will never be forgotten 🙏
Heartbreaking
Horrific and Suspicious
Hearing recall of the shooting is heart breaking
Seeing some of the never before seen bts footage in such clarity was very unexpected
Shouldn’t of happened and it still happens to this day look at the case with Alec Baldwin and the shooting of that female actor

They need to check those guns before using them.
Yeah, except Alec was aware of the poor conditions the set had

His whole life in front of him and negligence took it all away. This could have and should have been avoided.
I was devastated when Bruce Lee died. I was living in Geneva at the time and I had gone into the cinema to watch something, anything because I was at a loose end, and it turned out to be Big Boss. I fell in love there and then. Wow, what a guy! Then I heard about Brandon and I was again traumatized. How could a family have so much bad luck.
