I replaced mine and it wasn't hard at all. You can buy them on Amazon for around $10/ea. Use a small flat screwdriver and open the clip. Slide the old one out then put the new one in. T
hey brother nice video, I am about to buy one of these with 200k what is a good price to pay? Also what things should I look for in terms of wear and tear
You probably have the car by now. Things to change: front bearings, flush brake fluid immediately and replace with new one. Use transmission not ordinary brake fluid. see owners manual. inner and outer tie rods if you live in an area that is cold and have poor roads and pot holes. insure that your aluminum rims are not warped it will affect the stability. ofcourse change or flush tranny and filter fluid. Thas it any problems hit me up. Sorry for late response I'm really new to this.
Hey John, Just bought a 2002 SC 430 that has a battery drain issue. I read this is common and I wont be using this every day, so I may need a battery charger but that seems like a PITA. Any suggestions?
Not sure about this being a problem and its my first time hearing of it. What you may have is a component draining the battery. Don't buy a cheap battery either. This car is one of the best cars made. I have 220k miles on the Sc430 and gx 470, 320,000
I want this car so bad
They are *FANTASTIC* machines!
Buy it, it will be worth your money.
any chance you have a video or can show us how to replace the trunk struts? Seems hard to find a good DIY video on that!

Did you buy one yet?. I saw a 2002 with 132000 mile one owner for $5800. I'm debating if I should buy it.

Did you ever figure out the drain issue?
The idler you are replacing should have been replaced at the last timing belt change... And also with EVERY timing belt change actually.
Perhaps it should have been replaced but at that time I was not working on this car during timing belt change.
You are correct but I was not into fixing cars at the time.
