I was there! 24 May 1997 I was 15 yrs old & my friend took me with her to see them.
I'm an NHS worker & I've been so excited about the announcement tonight of the NHS gig in Cardiff in Dec - such a lovely treat to look forward to! :)

This was 1997, with Mansun opening. Razorlight supported in 2004. Razorlight didn't even form until 2002!

2004 was when they supported the Manics in Manchester, which was my first Manics gig. I remember the singer from Razorlight putting on a leopard print coat from a fan and claiming he used to think he was Richey when at school in an attempt to win over the crowd, which didn't work.

That was the worst guitar solo I've seen James do for this song at the end it was bloody terrible. I've seen them live loads of times since 1999 and the best guitar work he did of this song was Glastonbury 99 it was amazing
