    Hey everyone, the scammers have found their way to my channel. ANY comment that asks you to send something to a text or a WhatsApp number (ESPECIALLY if they have the number in their name) is 100% , always, zero doubt, absolutely a scam. That's true ANYWHERE on social media. You'll notice that my name has a grey background behind "Scott Uhl." That's how you know it's really a response coming from the creator of the channel. Do NOT contact the scammers/assholes!

    I got a set of these and they worked great. I walked all about my house and never had an issue. I can also use them for transmitting from my iPad to my splitter cable for backing tracks with a male to male adapter if I have to. Very much worth the money.

    Use it for small gigs in small bars for some month. And finally, there was stage in the music club, where sound engineer could not take monitor AUX to the stage, there was no empty XLR outs in patch panel on the stage. So, I have to put transmitter to AUX in Behringer X32 that was located behind the crowd (about ~100 people). So, there was about 30 feet and lots of people between transmitter and 4 recievers. I was ready to switch to stage monitor PA system. I was 100% shure that this cant work in this situation: too long distance, too much people, wifi routers and wifi router in X32. But it works perfectly! I'm impressed so much. Thank you again for this review.

    Hey Scott, so I ordered a behringer ps2 after watching your video about making it wireless by using a guitar wireless system and then I stumbled across this! The behringer hasn't arrived but I can send it back to Sweetwater. Is this a better option? I'm in an acoustic duo and we play through a jbl eon mk2. I'm the only singer and most of the time placing it slightly behind us works fine but in some instances I have found it necessary to place it slightly ahead if we're in a really reflective noisy venue and it sometimes is hard hear myself and especially backing tracks and thought something like this would help without having to bring a monitor wedge. Jbl has a 1/4 pass through. Stick with my forthcoming p2 and a guitar wireless or send it back and get this? I bought my nux B-5rc for my acoustic guitar based on your review and it's been great, thanks!

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      These do not have a way to change channels, so it will be the least reliable wireless IEM system. If that’s okay with you, then yeah these are great! If it’s not the end of the world if your wireless iems do not work, these are awesome. Especially for acoustic

    • @yairidy90

      The P2 is a wired headphone amp. So you plug in an xlr. If you use it with a wireless guitar system like I mention in that IEM hack video, you can usually change channels on those

    • @yairidy90
      @yairidy90 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I ordered both and see if I have any issues with the lekato interfering with my Nux b5rc wireless I use on my acoustic. If it doesn't I'll keep it, if it does I'll go the p2 route with a joyo or something that can switch channels. Thanks!

      So as you warned, this system conflicted with my nux br5 (unfortunately I bought the 2.4 ghz version), my guitar kept cutting out. I really wanted to try these so I plugged my guitar in direct and they worked fine. I really want to go all wireless though so I am sending these back and ordering a set of swiff wireless to use with my behringer p4. And I'll also have a backup wireless for my guitar now. Great idea! Thanks so much for your reviews!

    "Wall distance" is in reference to RF bouncing off of walls and phase cancelling. If you ever see a wireless receiver with two antennas, that's RF diversity...a means in which there are two antennas that are actively switched between to retain the best signal. Just some nerd facts for you. Thanks for your content!

    Great for practicing and small gigs, but terrible for something more serious. We’ve encountered a huge amount of dropouts in signal in 3 receivers out of 5 on stage, and we’re not going to use it for live performance anymore because of this, and we’re switching to a proper UHF system.
    To be more specific, these devices worked great during soundcheck, but once the hall was filled with 300+ people with smartphones, these iem’s flopped really hard.

    Just got this last night. Works on my mixer headphone out and line outs. Stereo separation is not 100% but it works for panning vocals, keys and guitars for my live iem monitor mix. I’ll try it out on my next gig with a wired back up. It’s going to be great live and in my studio. Thanks for the heads up on this great piece of gear.
    UPDATE: I can definitely hear the delay when singing. The slight delay caused by the combination of my digital mixer plus the iem delay results in a noticeable chorus/delay between the sound of my voice in my head and the iems. Not terrible but it’s there. Much less noticeable at higher iem volume levels and even better when you take the vocal out of your wedge.

    Hi Scott, I'm just curious - you mentioned near the beginning that it is NOT a true stereo system. However it has TRS plugs supplied. Could you expand upon what you mean by 'not stereo'. I'm looking for a wireless solution for stereo guitar from the mini mixer at my feet on stage. My HX Stomp feeds into the mixer in stereo and the band MONO mix is blended in. At the moment I'm 'cabled-up' to be able to hear my stereo GUITAR mix. It's a pain because I have to leave the stage many times during our concerts whilst an MC takes over.

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      “True stereo” for a wireless IEM system is where you have two inputs into the transmitter and then are able to pan the mix that you from a mixer or something like that. But this can get a stereo signal from a laptop or iPhone or something like that if you use a TRS or TRRS cable 👍

  • @bscheirman

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Ben! I appreciate it. And yeah, budget stuff is important for a lot of musicians, but it’s important to know the details about them. I’ve seen many bands go “oh awesome, we can get all 5 wireless IEM systems at this price” and then maybe it works at their rehearsal space, but falls apart at a live concert. It’s definitely important to understand the limitations while saving money. Because they are still useable for sure, just limited.

    • @ScottUhlMusic

      Oh man, that’s a whole band dynamic topic haha. I would figure out what happens to the gear if someone leaves and/or is fired and agree upon that ahead of time. In my experience, it’s often better for just one person to buy it if possible. That way there is no argument when someone leaves or gets fired.

    Scott. I am an amateur and play acoustic guitar often with large open jams I find that indoors, I often cannot hear myself at all. I do have an active Fishman pickup that came with my guitar. Would some sort of IEM system work in this case? If so, how would you set this up? Thanks

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yup, an IEM system would work great for something like this. Usually going into a mixer is best and using an AUX out works well. Some cheap stuff doesn’t work as well with other gear, but that’s all trial and error

      @@ScottUhlMusic thanks Scott. It actually works great with my Fishman Guitar pickup. Again, only using in jam sessions to hear myself when acoustics suck. Another question, do you know of an inexpensive pickup or microphone that I could use the same way on my banjo. It’s only going through Lekato and to ear phones. Since quality sound here isn’t an issue, I would think is there is a small battery powered mic, I might be able to just attach inside the regulator. Thank you again and thanks for the videos. Gary

    I just bought it here in Germany for 20% off x'D so it was 55,99 €. And I mainly play solo: acoustic guitar, loop-station, vocals, that's it. And I do lots of busking and I hope that this tiny piece of gear will make my life so much easier. When I play gigs I often use a PA and use my amp as monitor. But while busking everything comes out of one single acoustic amp and this little thing will go into the main-out. Especially when I'm singing it's often difficult to hear my own recorded loops and obviously I always only have one sound source. For busking the battery life could be an issue, because I often play for many hours a day, but if this thing really works as well as I hope it does, I will just get another pair of these.

    i imagine that XLR female to 1/8" cable has the XLR pin 3 (signal -) shorted to ground, or pins 2 and 3 are merged, which is why it works without noise. If you are using a 1/4" TRS male to 1/8" female adapter, to adapt the 1/4" from your mixer to the 1/8" of the included TRRS cable, where does this signal (-) go? wouldn't it become the right side ear and just be noise? perhaps that mono/stereo switch negates it when set to mono? i would think the 1/8" input on the transmitter is an 1/8" stereo input right?

    I had a cheaper Debra wireless system that was mono, the ER-102 or something, and I found that the audio coming through was a little harsh and that the mono signal kinda messed with my brain. Obviously I'm used to stereo fields out of regular headphones. Before I purchase another system, I kinda wanted to get someone's advice about the difference in sound from a stereo to mono type system. Will the stereo system have a wider sound field? Or is it just to L/R 2 signals? ie: I want to just jam with music, I want it to sound like I'm listening to it on my earbuds from spotify, and then incorporate my guitar over it...will it be a left/right scenario? Will it just sound like the mono, and I'm wasting my time looking for a stereo wireless, or should I just get a proper stereo wireless instead of muckin about with these mono signals? Cuz Debra has the ST-102 that is supposed to be stereo, vs that ER-102.
    I'm not playing any clubs, I'll be just jamming around the house and streaming online.
    Cheers everyone!

    Hi. We're looking for a wireless in-ear monitor syst for my wife. She is a violinist and play on small and medium venues, most of the time crowed of people. She is using a wireless VHF mic and other times a wireless pickup (both bluetooth). Amplified by a Bose S1 Pro+.

    The input in the transmitter is a Stereo Aux In and the Phone Out in the receiver is Stereo as well.
    You just have to run it with a splitter in the case of stereo IEM setup.
    I use it with my existing gear with wireless guitar system and it's like having a Waza Air for about $50. 😁Without the gyroscope.

    Pros: Amazing sound quality, better than most cheap (albeit much more expensive) analog transmitters; stupidly portable and lightweight; everything runs on batteries.
    Cons: Does cut out quite a bit in concerts, since everybody is using wifi; SUPER fragile. I've had 2, one of them failed, and 3 friends of mine had theirs fail in less than a year after purchase. I'm still using mine and love it, paid about $30,00 on Aliexpress, but I'm aware someday it just won't turn on anymore, as did all others (all of them had issues on the ON button).

    Hi Scott, I've deleted and reworded my previous question as it also didn't make sense to me when i came back to it!
    I just want to have a wireless system for guitar practice, so, using this wireless IEM system in this video, theoretically i should be able to ...?
    SCENARIO 1....
    Use a wireless transmitter system, like the ones you posted in the video...
    th-cam.com/video/A2183MfZWgQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=0HWCFIvlk2m1bZbq
    (i'll call these GROUP 1 and refer to them again further down the post)
    between a guitar, sending to a receiver plugged into a guitar multi Fx pedal,
    and then using a 2nd wireless system, like the wireless IEM system you are now reviewing , to transmit from the headphones out on the multi FX, to the receiver which i can then plug into any type of headphones that have a 3.5mm input socket, so becoming (almost! ) truly wireless?
    ( or, like in your original answer, instead of headphones, go to wired in ears type buds, but that's not going to be as good a sound quality via in ears?)
    SCENARIO 2...
    I could, instead of using the wireless IEM system between multi FX + headphones, just use a 2nd wireless system from GROUP 1 above, to go out of the headphone jack of the multi FX pedal, sending to a 2nd guitar receiver that i can just plug straight into some headphones that have a 3.5mm input. (probably needing a 6.3mm to 3.5mm convertor )?
    I see that you have also just recently posted a review of some truly wireless headphones ( not meaning Bluetooth, although you say they do also have BT capability for music streaming)...
    This review, of the AiAiAi TMA2 ...
    th-cam.com/video/V_sHXtqVR-U/w-d-xo.htmlsi=AgKctXN0t5LXqMGr
    Well, this is good timing, and is exactly what I was looking for, but a bit pricey!
    Having read some of the comments on that video, my question is answered, with respect to my Scenario 2, as someone is using the same idea as a cheaper way to achieve wireless headphones (for "real time"/ low latency, private listening, whilst playing an instrument)
    But of the Scenario 1 and 2, assuming they will both work, which do you think would be the better set up?
    I suppose battery life of the GROUP 1 wireless sytems will be better than just 5 hrs on this wireless IEM system you reviewed here.
    The receiver dongle plugged direct to headphones might be a bit annoying to wear? .... could depend on where and what position the wireless receiver sits in after plugging in.
    I was really surprised, having just recently took an interest in guitar playing again, that these kind of wireless headphones, for guitar / bass, aren't common on the market anyway, so had started looking at other ways to try to go truly wireless, such as my 2 scenarios above.
    Previously, years ago, i have used a cheap UHF tv type of listening headphones from MultiFx pedal , and was considering buying some better quality ones, Sennheiser do some, but perhaps the tones will be optimised more for cinema type of film watching + listening with boomy bass ?
    So i'll probably try a wireless set up with something like the Audio Technica ATHM50XBT headphones, and other well reviewed examples.
    I guess, now that you've reviewed the AiAiAi TMA2, there'll be more coming onto the market, and you hopefully will be doing a best of true wireless headphones review sometime within the next year :)
    Thanks :)

    Awesome review man; I subbed a while back when we first started setting up our IEM system for our worship band but now we are planning on starting up a smaller band made up of children that are ready to hit the stage. Your channel helps us out a lot on both ends. You inspired our more professional set-up and gear for the main band and now for the little ones we might incorporate a Lekato IEM's system bc as you said its cheap and I believe it'll make the kids feel more professional and in the event that one of the receivers is damaged, it won't be a big deal as it isn't as expensive as our more professional gear. It also won't make that big of a dent in our wallets! Again, thank you so much for your work man keep it up & God bless!

    What would you recommend for a Wireless IEM setup just to use with a Desktop PC (for daily use, gaming, videos, music, etc.)? I have IEMs and a good DAC already I just hate being tethered to my desk. Like if I have to turn around and grab something and forget I'm connected the headphone jack rips out of the DAC or worse breaks (which I've had happen before) I just want my DAC transmitted wirelessly to my IEMs so I can wear them over ear and the chord going behind me instead of over the ear but in front and in the way. I understand that quality will never be as good as direct input but just looking for the best way with least amount of quality loss in the process. Can anyone recommend anything that would help with this?

    • @ScottUhlMusic
      @ScottUhlMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      For something like that, these can be good! 2.4ghz might get interference from a Wi-Fi router, so keep it away from those. Try them out, return them if they don’t work 👍
