I remember when that '32 was on eBay and people on the Hamb were saying it was too far gone. The car definitely went to the right home; you did an amazing job bringing it back to life!
To far gone is more a reflection of the vision and ability of those saying it than the condition of the car. One wonders what those saying "to far gone" think should of happened to the car.
Really enjoyed watching the two "antique teenagers" on their test drive. The grins and laughter are shared by all of us who remember our first test drives in our old projects. The car sounds awesome coming and going! Keep it in the road, love it!
Another win for the Iron Trap crew! It is so good to see all the hard work paying off and this old girl coming alive after all those years. The smiles on Matt and Steve as the car accelerates says it all!
Matt and Steve...you guys rock and stand alone in each of your old school hot rod builds. The car sounds awesome and your expressions when driving it are like two little kids who ditched school and went to the candy store.
Call that a test drive? That's not a test drive. You didn't break down once or have a friendly chat with the local constabulary. Lol. Excellent stuff, guys, very enjoyable to watch and you had a few last minute hurdles to jump. You have just driven your old school historical 1932 Ford Roadster Hot Rod. Congrats Matt, you've arrived! All the best, Mart in England.
Flatheads forever and you guys made this one live again (and in a '32) not all chopped up. BEAUTIFUL and thank you. This is my and so many others favorite car. I had one 55 years ago and let it get away. Thank you again, she is a real doll. GOD bless all you.
It must be a truly satisfying feeling after all the work to finally drive the 32 on the road. Your expressions say it all, a feeling that never gets old.
Hi again, there are several sounds made by flatheads that bring back many memories. (1) flathead starter, (2) dual exhausts, (3) lumpy cam maybe an Insky 404?, (4) Ford truck 4 speed whine when accelerating, (5) the laughs/hi fives when it fires for the first time after an assembly. Keep up the great work!!!!
Morning Matt, Steve...It seems alot of people are dragging these vintage rides out of there resting places....that is very cool, I think just do mechanical restorations as your shop is doing...I can only imagine how cool it is to experience the first start up & put the car in gear & feel it move, Matt, the smile on your face says it all.... I'm seriously considering filming my first start up of our Olds powered Model A... Y'all be safe, God Bless!!
@@IronTrapGarage exactly Matt, we will.....be gone sooner or later..... you're doing a great service to the old car hobby by searching these vintage hot rods out & bringing them back to life. The Delorian 32 to me is priceless just because who the man was!!!
Awesome build! I could almost hear your '32 and see your smiles here in Oregon! You've been to the N.W. on buying trips. Come again. One of my favorite Iron Trap builds. Steve, Mike and MATT > the 3 Musketeers of car builds! 😊
What a cool old roadster. It’s so nice to take it out on the road where people can see you and give you a thumbs up. We really appreciate seeing those pieces of history.
So as you might expect, I do love this particular model year and, I have always preferred them with fenders. This car is far and away my favorite of all that you have worked on. So good to see it back out on the street, it was parked for as long as I've been alive. Congratulations on making it happen! Excellent!
Wow !! That was so cool, I got the chills. Watching you bring this home to putting on the road was a thrill for me, I can't imagine how it must feel for you guys. Having my own three hotrod projects in the garage makes your video's really hit home. Keep up the good work. Matt's roadster is the one I want to see on the road, can't wait to see him driving it!!!
You guys are the best. After seeing you pull that car out of that collapsed, wet building and looking so rough. It sure is great to see and hear it live again.
Cheers all around for the Iron Trap team. It's always surprising what determination, dedication, and good old hard work can achieve. Chalk up another success guys!
It is amazing, you can tap that old car anywhere and it reverberates through the whole body of the car, a phenomenon that is not duplicated on a modern car.
Nothing better than a Raw old obnoxious car, creaking, banging, feeling the road, makes you actually feel connected to the driving experience and not just going along for the ride.
Enjoyed getting to ride along for the first couple shake down rides. Got a feeling this is going to be Matt's first choice to drive once it is fully sorted.
You and Steve did a great job on car.really liked this video would have loved to have roadster just like this one when I was younger, no fancy paint or wheels just scrapes and dings and faded paint. Not a wreck but trustworthy and Great looking head turner
Thinking back to the pictures of this car during the sale listing with all the junk around it in that old building. You could still see the potential there and you guys have done an amazing job bringing it back to life. Well done Iron Trap!
Hey Matt ! I'm Paul. Been following your channel for a couple years now. It was great seeing the roadster hit the road again. Hate to mention it, but I thought I heard some lifters ticking ... Anyway I have a Prostreeted 47 Merc Custom. I call Brutus. Big Block Chevy power. Tubbed with a shortened 59 Pontiac rearend with 488 gears. It's chopped, shaved, and decked. Purple with white ultraleather interior. 400TH trans with a gearvenders overdrive. Boxed frame. 77 Camaro front end. AM Morrison 4 link rear . Coilovers all around. 58 Buick grill. 59 Caddy taillights. I also have a 55 Dodge C3H 1 1/2 ton Stake Truck with the original baby hemi and the 2 speed eaton rearend. It has an all steel M37 military bed the previous owner made by hand . It's a ex private airport truck. Kept in a hanger and never street licenced. So no rust. The previous owned painted the cab 67 Corvette Marina Blue. Everything else is finished in that thick black industrial paint. I call it Rambo. Thought I'd let ya know about another couple guys doing 20's to 40's cars. They're in Alberta Canada. They call their channel ; Strong's Garage. Their names are Matt and Jim.
So awesome guys, thank you for saving these cars. Keeping them authentic to the original dream of the builder is what sets you apart. Saving history one perfectly shitty car at a time. Love it
Ah yes, the satisfaction of working on a car for a year and finally actually driving it for the first time. Nothing better. Now comes the fine tuning and the road trips! 😎
An original sleeper. Hot flattie, full fenders and hood. Sounds polite until you got into it. Nice job Matt. And the ear to ear grin on Steve's face said he was not scared in anyway. I love it.
Absolutely loved it! Leaves me wondering about the two speed rear, and wishing for a video shot of that dash full of bushes while going down the road. Job well done, Iron Trap!!!
It sounded great going down the street. I have a 32 Ford 3-Window Coupe that I got from my wife’s uncle. It had sat for nearly 40 years. I went through all the mechanical issues and got it running and driving in 2020. What a blast it was to drive it the first time!
Matt, I am in the middle of rewiring my 32 and converting it to 12V. My next project will be to convert the mechanical brakes to hydraulic. I bought hubs and backing plates and shoes and drums from Speedway but I can’t find the bracket needed to make the brake and clutch pedals work in my stock frame. Do you have any suggestions?
That boyish effvescent smile especially on the second test drive. Congrats on the 32 moving again. Suprised you two did not cover your faces with bandana style masks. Nor prepare better for the cold. Both you two and warming up car. It definitely ran better on the second run. Like you said: alignment, trunk and hood gaskets, gas filter, hood fit-up, carb coolant line, pedal adjustment. Making the 32 more drivable. Success with a smile.
Matt, et al, You have done such wonders with so many cars. That said my favorites are the 33-34s. But nothing has quite the cachet of a Deuce, be it coupe, roadster or any one. Congratulations!!!!
This video is proof positive that you have a guardian angel. As I watched the spoon throttle being torched, I thought I was witnessing the final episode of Iron Trap Garage. The car catches fire and the whole entire shop goes up in flames! You guys have a fire extinguisher? I was curious about the tach. Was it working? The smile on your face said it all. Nothing like getting an old car on the road and driving under its own power. Congrats.
No guardian angel just years of experience of how to run a torch. Small welding tip and aiming the heat where it’s needed only. Fire extinguishers sit around the shop in numerous places.
Facial expressions say it all. 70 or so years is a long time for that car to sit dormant. That car just wants to be driven. It sounds great !!! Thanks for the ride along the journey. As spoken by a few posts here, I also remember the days of first test drives that gave gratification and accomplishment. Awesome job. ITG to be continued........ :)
great stuff guys, been following the "resurrection" of the De lorean roadster from the start. Whats it like being back in 53, congrats guys, can't wait for the top to go back on which would complete the package
Great to see it from the time you went to get it in Detroit, getting down off the rack and back to your place and all back together the way it should be, great job on all of it, thanks for taken us along!!!!!
I remember when that '32 was on eBay and people on the Hamb were saying it was too far gone. The car definitely went to the right home; you did an amazing job bringing it back to life!
That negativity was one reason I stopped going to the HAMB 11 years ago .I prefer now to visit your site and ITG to see real work being done to cars.
To far gone is more a reflection of the vision and ability of those saying it than the condition of the car.
One wonders what those saying "to far gone" think should of happened to the car.
I was waiting the whole time for the same shot from the shroll coupe.... and then the delorean Roadster made a fly by.... that was f****** awesome
Haha it’s what we all want to hear!
Really enjoyed watching the two "antique teenagers" on their test drive. The grins and laughter are shared by all of us who remember our first test drives in our old projects. The car sounds awesome coming and going! Keep it in the road, love it!

I enjoy watching the builds. The smiles during the first drives, are always great to see. I’m sure all of us are smiling just as much watching.
Seeing the smiles on you twos faces when driving the car was so great.
It must be a truly satisfying feeling after all the work to finally drive the 32 on the road. Your expressions say it all, a feeling that never gets old.
So great to see the old hot rods come back to life. Great work Team Irontrap Garage..
The roadster looked and sounded awesome speeding down the road! So cool that you have brought it back to life in the best way possible.
Thank you!

It’s going to take a week to wipe the smiles off of your faces 😂😂 too cool 😎
Haha so true!!

Nice job. She definitely wears her age well!
Wow! The DeLorean sounds GREAT!!! And, Matt, your grin says everything!
The '32 is looking great, you guys are some hard workers. Keep the videos comin'!
You guys are the best. After seeing you pull that car out of that collapsed, wet building and looking so rough. It sure is great to see and hear it live again.

One of my favorite things about old hot rods!
Two kids taking the 32 for the first spin in a lot of years. It looks and sounds really good. Congratulations !!!!!!!
Million dollar smile right there. Can’t beat that. Congrats on a job well done. Looks and sounds great.😊
Thanks Jim!
That is about the best sounding Flathead I've ever heard. Congratulations.
Steve is good at many things 👍 he was a great find for the shop 😎
He really is a treasure!
Another Hot Rod saved from destruction ! Thank you Matt and Steve with the save !
This has been a fun journey you all have shared with us all. Have a great New Year!
Cool black, like my best pair of old boots!
With out a doubt one of the best videos ! The sound of a flathead ,the transmission , the wind is just fantastic. Well done guys , a great team .
I love full fender hot rods and that car checks all the boxes.
With that aluminum flywheel it's almost like breaking when you let off the gas. Nothing to keep the momentum of the engine up. Sounds healthy!
Enjoyed getting to ride along for the first couple shake down rides. Got a feeling this is going to be Matt's first choice to drive once it is fully sorted.
another car brought back from the abyss. and man that grill is a perfect match!
You and Steve did a great job on car.really liked this video would have loved to have roadster just like this one when I was younger, no fancy paint or wheels just scrapes and dings and faded paint. Not a wreck but trustworthy and

Good choice!
The look on your face Matt!! Brilliant achievement that would have taken most people years.
Great ride guys! Absolutely beautiful :) ❤
Thinking back to the pictures of this car during the sale listing with all the junk around it in that old building. You could still see the potential there and you guys have done an amazing job bringing it back to life. Well done Iron Trap!

Don't know what I enjoy more, seeing the old iron running again or the smile on Matt's face.

dam super it must have been a teen type ride for Steve
Great one chaps. Matt don't think I've seen you smile so much since you took a ride in that Duesenberg a while back.
That was a great video.. during the test drive my face started to hurt I was smiling so much….
Sounds wicked flying by! Awesome with the full fenders. Cheers to the ITG crew!!

Thanks for watching
MAN!! this video ruled. I was excited like a kid...so kool!!
Thanks Kirk!
My dad would call your grin as "a shit eating grin". I love the way you save cars that other folks would walk away from. Good job ITG.
Flying by was my kind of symphony. Love it.
Not many unmolested '32 roadsters left out there. It is a treat seeing one on the road. Thanks for the trip.
Very fun series... and fun to see your big grin. Great job.
Congratulations mission accomplished what a success its been a long time coming and what a build too.
Awesome guys!!!!! Roadster sounds great!!!!! Good to see you smile!!!! A lot of hard work
Smiles says it all!
Sounded freakin awesome!…congrats.
well done Matt and Steve your going to Heaven!
Looks and runs great, lots of pick up !
Great to see it from the time you went to get it in Detroit, getting down off the rack and back to your place and all back together the way it should be, great job on all of it, thanks for taken us along!!!!!
It looks and sounds amazing! Matt you have the coolest stuff.
Thanks for watching!
Test drives always put a smile on my face, and yours too. It's not the same but my friend took me for a ride in his 65 GTO and a big smile on mine.
Wow that,s once sweet ride she sure went well, great job Mates..
Well - I came on the scene in 54 & am still driving.
Awesome job on that build love the high quality and attention to detail
Those first drives! Great video thanks for sharing
You know all too well that feeling! Thanks for watching!
