Can you draw the Chanceinhell without having to undo all three straps? I do Search and Rescue and I usually have to chop branches while on the move, so the blade is constantly in and out. Doing one snap for safety is fine but three every time would be annoying.
I have the Halfachance and it's the finest goddamn machete I've ever swung. I have a bad wrist and I can work all day with that. What they did with the handle is amazing. It does great work too.
G’day Chris, I got one of these beauties back when you first reviewed it. Why? That amazing looking handle and those two magic words: Ken Onion. This has been a valuable, super useful tool for me when harvesting fallen timbers for my walking stick manufacture. It can easily cut the lengths of timber, quickly cut off the branch nodules and strip the bark. I have other great, big blades that can do this but the handle on this baby means I can do those tasks for most of a day and feel no stress or strain on my arm, wrist or hand. It’s a great package and I’m glad they are still available because I’ll be getting another one soon. I might try the longer one too. Thanks for this video! Cheers, BH

This is a great series in particular, going back and looking at still great stuff. As you said newer isn't always better. I live in South Africa and we often cant easily get a hold of new equipment so this a much appreciated series.
Is there a body in that icebox in the background? Sorry i got distracted by the white square amongst all that green. I own a chance, for camping and if i had to take a bigger blade out with me its my go to. All loyalty to the vengeful one first of course. But it's a great blade. Love the retro vids Chris.

Why mess with a classic. " if it is not broke don't try to fix it." Some of the older blades are just awesome; The just sometimes have crappy handles which can be fixed with a little wrap of your personal choosing...

I carried this around the Hawaiin islands with me. It’s great for its weight. The handle is amazing.
Had this for years and is so comfortable. Easy to sharpen, therefore can be honed to razor sharp at campsite on just a puck. Stripped coating off mine

I'm in FL, and this is my only only only wood processing tool I take hiking or camping. I love it. Clear brush, or process wood...it works great.

I sent the first one I ordered back due to a warped blade. The replacement was perfect. It’s a great short machete.

Nah this one is a better design imo because of the thinner blade, the zombie tools has pretty expensive materials but idgo with the crkt
