I always wanted to see this wonderful 727!! And I saw it!! :D
This is my 5th 727 at GVA, it's quite good :)

One of the world's most beautiful aircraft !
Beautiful and fast aircraft. Average cruise was Mach 0.85 (Today's aircraft cruise at Mach 0.80) and this design is over 50 years old. Noisy and a gas guzzler but what a a beauty.
That was one of the best flare and landings I've witnessed on a 727. It's also the best paint scheme's I've ever seen.
I agree, superb for a tail-heavy bird like her.
I thought it was a bit protracted.

The B727 is the most beautiful and wonderful plane ever built in my opinion!!! It's PW JT-9D engines presents us with a lovely noise and a delicious smell of burned JET-A1.. Kind regards from São Paulo - Brazil... I LOVE THE B727!!! I LOVE ITS NOISE!!! I MISS YOU 727 :'-((

I like how clear one can see the thrust reversers in action.
Only now realize that the centre engine in not used for reversal.
those two engines at the sides seem to be md-80 engines. the original engines dont have clamshell reversers.
@@johnnymclaneutah the original motors did have clamshell TR's. However later in life they were changed to incorporate Stage II/III exhaust, some had a stove pipe looking exhaust with internal clamshells that when closed directed air flow through a version of cascade vanes.
The vanes were only on the top and bottom of the exhaust duct, and IIRC, the internal doors were pneumatically operated not hydraulically.

The engines on all 727 aircraft are the P&W JT8D. The JT9D is on the B-747. Big difference! @Sergio Souza

You can really see the difference between the intake diameter of the two outboard JT8D-200 (I read somewhere that the Starling was updated with the JT8D-219) series engines and the center line original JT8D-17. The 200 series were higher bypass than the original which produced higher thrust more economically and quieter. In fact the 200 series meets stage 3 noise restrictions. If the center engine were able to be replaced with a 200 series and all three were equipped with the hush kits designed for the MD-80 series, the 727 would meet stage 4 noise restrictions at any airport in the world and this beautiful plane would still be flying. If only......
The black smoke the smell the noise what is there not to love.

I flew the Boeing 727 several times and I loved it! Such a pity the jet does not fly anymore due to noise problems.

Beautiful livery. Who owns this...what is Starling? Beautiful choice of color and graphic design. Some of these private 747 & 777's that use a grey color scheme should take a lead from this plane.
Starling owns it, they make interiors for private jets and also some of the first class interiors for Airbus.
With new clean engines it would be unbeatable.👍👍

The last time I flew in a 727 was 1994 in a Charter Midland airline to Ft Hood.

It's permanent but it recently had a flight around 2 days ago to make sure it still works
