I’d get that new crew BMW “drift” car up to spec with proper maintenance to daily drive for a lil bit. Sit the RX-7 on the sideline for some surgery so you can take your time to make it right. Order everything that’s needed to make it reliable and ready to pass inspection for those tickets. Pretty sure everyone here would love to see a deep dive into the RX to make it solid

@@qers True but heat shielding and a turbo blanket aren’t totally the same. There is generally some air gap on heat shielding and heat shielding is just trying to keep heat off other components. I’m just saying my stock FD as a F-ton of heat shielding around the turbos and along the exhaust. It’s not to trap heat it’s to keep the heat from damaging other parts of the car or catching it on fire.

When you slide, looks like a little bit of a rising corner, come out closer to the inside of the next right then shoot out to the outside left and dive into the next right
That corner is called Noob corner cause it's a decreasing radius with a wall right next to it so it's very easy to send it too hard into that corner if you aren't ready for it
I try to never touch paint lines and cats eyes, they will unsettle your car in an instant. Too much back pressure in the turbo, Get it tuned properly after puttin the intercooler on :).

Heat shielding will just let the turbo heat up more because the heat gets locked into the turbo blanket.
