I was there inn 06-07 and I have to COMPLETELY DISAGREE, that place was a Forsaken land, mostly dirt blowing in the wind. Some places are nice and lush but only near water sources. The mountains were cool but it was not a fun place to be.
The fact that you were 19 riding a helo in Afghaniland is insane to me. I was in Air Force tech school stuck with a dumb finance job lmao. I couldn't even imagine being prepared at that point. Puts it into perspective how different the training actually is
nobody ever mentions how dorky it is to be sittin in a ditch with all that gear while civilians are shopping and working around you, when there’s no threat you just look like dorks😂
