I literally do not think a greater play through of a game exists than the combination of a fucking therapist playing through goddamned Disco “Hardcore To The Mega” Elysium
Oh, also, if you're really into overthinking, overanalyzing, and great attention to detail, I can recommend Disco Elysium streams of Lauren Flute. She has great, safe community, and has nice sense of humor. The only issue is that right now, the Disco Elysium playthrough is on hiatus because some new fans were pressuring her too hard to play "the right way" to see all the content which gave her a temporary burnout. But still, there are a lot of episodes.
The funny thing is that people coming from different backgrounds have just as hard a time figuring out what choice they want, and every line of reasoning is interesting. This is why the game is s o good.
You should probably keep talking to Egg head, when the game said that there is a path to his "center" or whatever for him to open up, it means it. All you need is to figure out which dialogue options are "correct" via trial and error.
True! For anyone that doesn't know, your Volition and Endurance skills are debuffed based on damage to their relative health pools, so it's it a good idea to keep your health topped up.
Watching you play this game has felt like bringing a friend to the sea for the first time, only for them to stop at a puddle in the parking lot saying "yup, thats deep". We've finally gotten properly into the game, and I'm looking forward too seeing your analysis of the characters! Please take your time, if you're still enjoying the game, do side quests and maybe save the main quest for last ;) The real game are the side quests we did along the way after all.
Hell yeah. By the by: there's no downside to taking rests. The novel, Sacred and Terrible Air, focuses on the big calamity that is to come Very few people lean into the whole Apocalypse Cop archetype in this game but there's some dialogue in there and the oft-neglected Half Light that speak towards a lot of the existential nightmare of living in an age where you're powerless to stop massive forces on the horizon--from War to Climate Change to whatever it may be, there's the terrifying sense that everything could just end any day now In light of that, what do you do? I like how that sense of 'Doom' really puts a mirror up to our motivations for how we live our lives.

The most of Egg Head's lines are straight out of Scooter's albums from the 90's. :,D It hits extra hard if you ever raved then or sometime later in the 00's at coastal ship containers, beaches or proper night clubs. Speaking from experience even if I don't miss those days, I'd still do them again if given a chance.
The way you approach every game encounter with a bunch of psychological terms and theories make me love this playthrough. So keep it that way and don't bother much
Your insight into the game is really super interesting and unique on TH-cam! I already know that I will watch every single episode until you finish the game!
“We are living in the age of History, and in the eyes of History we are always already dead. How can we ever smile, then? Because History is a lie, and so are its deaths..." "The present moment and life are the hard core. The hard core expels death."
I would love to know the school of philosophy that inspired Noid's vision of History and Anti-Dolorianism. Even Egg's inspiration to Perikarnasis and hardcore philosophy is so fascinating. This game is so rich
Loving this as always! BTW, it's always a good idea to try a white check before you get more positive mods. For example, with that logic check, you could have tried it before confronting them about Soona's suspicions, that way you get two attempts.
"who the fuck pays attention to a 30 minute ramble about one dialogue?" I do. I pay attention :D As a person who loves both the politics and mental discussion of humanity in this game, I'm glad you're leaning more on the latter side because it peaks my interest too
It's only the beginning of the church quest. :D I think you missed the great mural in the church and I don't remember if you can examine it after the gang moves in, but Soona is still there and probably wants to have a word about the club project. There's a lot to this so I'd love to see you continue at least until Harry is required to pass some difficult stat checks.
the parent, adult and child modes of interaction is actually insightful and helpful to understand social dinamics a little better honestly, puts a name to a thing. cool for writing characters too hmmm

And now the final blow - I'd definitely watch another video from you, talking about this book and it's ideas.
