Blame the clone wars. They made his nose look absolutely ridiculous because they had to make him look like a stereotypical villain. These updated animations try to correct it by making Dooku look like the late Christopher Lee since Dooku was his last major role before retiring and his death.
I can't believe Dooku would be so mean to Anakin and Obi Wan when they missed the best father figure they had in their lives! Not to mention refusing to take Anakin in for apprentice ship after loosing Qui Gon.
He may have been mean when it came to dueling but remember in episode 2 Dooku had respect for Obi wan coz of Qui Gon spoke very highly of him & he was the last thing to Qui Gon which is why he told him the truth bout the Sith, he could care less bout Anakin
I love how they captured his fighting style, but I hate the nose they gave him lol

A vast improvement over his Easter Island face in TCW. Also it actually looks like Christopher Lee.
