I never thought I’d own a Telecaster. I never really liked the looks, especially the headstock. About 2 weeks ago something changed and I suddenly got an itch for one. After watching TH-cam videos on Teles for the past 2 weeks I finally pulled the trigger and ordered one. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

The history behind the symbols is that they were meant to be universally understood regardless of language barriers. Let’s be honest, they are pretty easy to understand after fairly minimal effort. Definitely not worth passing up such amazing tone over!

I like how every review of Orange amps make a point of saying "if your looking for a clean amp it's probably not the amp for you" yet the clean sounds are pretty much always better sounding to me than those other holy grail clean amps like Fenders. I've had Fenders, Marshalls and Boogies but never had an Orange, and yet when I played an Orange it was the best sounding amp I had ever played but it was too expensive for me at the time. I have the MK3 version of this amp (the one with the built in attenuator). Just a massive kick ass beast - I use a clean boost into the amp and an EQ, that’s it. No need for drive pedals at all. The MK3 version has a better clean sound IMO than the MK2 in this demo but, other than that, it’s just a simple brute that is all tone!!!

Surprised. With your style of playing it always seemed a match. Orange offers a "rumble" underlying or in front. Only downside is that you cannot get rid of that. I do think that Jimi would have migrated to these. No "pedal" board just to get to what this amp does best. All Orange amps maintain this sound; regardless of size.

I had the Rockerverb 50 in the 2X12 combo in the early 2000's. Much heavier than the head alone. It looked lonely so I bought the oversized Orange 2X12 cab as well.
Looked great at home in the study (4X12 in total) but I dreaded the thought of ever having to take it anywhere due to the weight.
I recall really liking both the clean and dirty channels. Eventually I traded the rig for something different.
Years later (about a year ago) I was looking at small compact amps and found the Orange Rocker 15.
Only volume on the clean channel but 3 band EQ on the drive side. No Reverb but these days I use pedalboards to sculpt my sound and the amp has an effects loop.
It's very portable for little garage jams with friends.
Combined with a couple of other portable amps that I have it really works well in Wet/Dry or Wet/Dry/Wet amp setups.
I had missed the old Rockerverb 50 so this has satisfied my Orange craving and saved my aging back.

Sears Silvertone Twin Twelve (mid-'60's) tube amp with great smooth character and sustain. Sold it to a budding young guitarist needing an amp and also to afford a new '68 Fender Twin Reverb. The Fender has served me very well, but I miss the Silvertone. To hear an identical tone, listen to the lead on the song "Mechanical World" by Spirit.

Great pedal platform or dirty to distortion tone machine on its own. Speaker soak and DI built in along with many features including midi capable control.

I’ve had orange amps for several years now and each one has the orange tone. My go to combo is my rocker32 and then I have a rockerverb half stack, a ad30 sitting on a verticals 2x12, pedal baby, terror amps etc. I love them all and it’s become an addiction. The one thing I like stage wise is people look directly at your amp it’s intriguing to those who haven’t seen one and I’ve had other bands at festivals and bike rallies walk up and wanna play the amps. I’m a blues, and hard rock guy. These amps just shine. Mix one of these with a fender amp in stereo set up and it will blow your mind.

I have to agree with you about the concept of I would "never" and "will never" purchase an amp with only cryptic symbols I have to try to decipher what they mean instead of clear labels!!! I'm Old (as in being on this great planet for almost 3/4 of a century) and my music style and what I play has zero use for distortion and I am fully aware that is totally against what all the young whippersnappers love as far as reviews. I am sorry to say this amp is still not for me, mainly because everything in this review seems to be about what's great about the distortion, and I'm more into clean and reverb with "Zero" distortion. I think I'll stay with my Roland Jazz Chorus JC-120!!!! Thank you for your review.

Though personally I’d prefer their custom shop amp.

The absence of captions next to the symbols on many Orange amps was in fact due to a specific request from many guitarists, in an attempt to prevent other band members from messing around with the settings (i.e. attempting to bring the volume down from "glass shattering" to at least "ear piercing") during gigs or rehearsals. True story!

I bought it as a demo 'cause the price was right, and it's great for my acoustic-electrics, but I avoided using it with my straight-up electrics, for a long time, not trusting the all-digital sound profile. I use an EHX Soul Food in front with the drive around noon to 1o'clock so that I can roll off the volume pot on the guitar for clean tones, or peg it for amazing breakup. Then by engaging the Soul Food, just WOW. I'm pushing a Bassbreaker 2x12 cab.... Perfect for everything! Has an effects loop too. Such a dynamic sound! The amount of gain on tap is simply fantastic and the simplicity of the controls really inspires me to just play! Love Orange amps!!

@@elihue_redneckreview I have had my Stamp for little over a year now running into a 30watt 1X12. Sits Right in the middle top of my pedal board with 11 other pedals. Great sound from clean to massive dirty grind.
Tip for those that complain about the clean headroom (yes it is an issue). Put a clean boost at the end of your effects loop chain to get the added volume push into the power amp (i use an RC Booster type pedal). Set amp gain around 9-9:30 and you pretty much have a clean pedal platform with all the volume of the high gain setting. RC Boost also gives an extra level of EQ and gain.
