I was trying to think why you have such a great genX and older following. Well of course it is your open fun personality. It is also the closeness of the camera to me. It is more transparent and believable. There is no “studio”, we are all just hanging out in your bedroom. For a Gen x, this is the way we experienced music…with friends in their room, living room watching mtv side by side…riding in our cars side by side. It creates a loyalty to the channel, please, don’t ever change your vibe.

Ok, but is he ready for Mr. Bungle?
Probably not yet... but he's getting there.
Until then, let's hit him with some classic FNM
      • Easy - A cover of the classic song by the Commodores. Better than the original.
      • Strip-search - Astonishing vocals, but he'll really dig the vibe of the whole song.
      • Midlife Crisis - Again, mind-bending vocals.
If he reacts to these three, he will then have unlocked the privilege of hearing Mr. Bungle. But not before then, he has to put in the work, lol.

Mike Patton is one of the most versatile voices in the history of modern music. He can “rap”, sings opera in fluent Italian, and was nicknamed the “Man with 1,000 voices.” Faith No More is only one of his many projects including: Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Tomahawk…. Also, strangely when Faith as well as the Red Hot Chili Peppers came to prominence in the 80s neither was perceived as rapping. The fish at the end caused a lot of flack about animal cruelty back in the day but they stated it was only a couple seconds slowed way down and the fish was promptly put back in it’s bowl and lived a happy life. Ah memories.

I agree. They all have their unique flavor. I've been a FNM and Bungle fan since the early 90's. I saw Bungle live when they were touring for the California album. They were amazing...sooo F-n talented!

‘The Real Thing’ which this song is off, is probably one of the most perfect albums written by any band ever from start to finish. Was a great tour with it too. The whole album is still on regularly on my turntable to this day.

Remember that whole "rap-core" movement in music? Yeah. This was 15-20 years BEFORE all that. Faith was SO influential in music and no one seems to realize just how influential. This song and their music melted faces so hard that we're still reading the benefits of their work. ❤️

Back in 1990, this song... this band... changed my musical taste forever. I accidentally recorded a half hour of videos instead of something else. My sister and I must have watched this video over 20 times that night. I went to the mall and bought that CD and became and still is my favorite band.

Other Faith No More songs: We Care A Lot, Evidence, Midlife Crisis, Falling To Pieces, The Real Thing, Take This Bottle, A Small Victory and Surprise! You're Dead! Covers: War Pigs and Easy. Mike Patton has an amazing voice. He has also done voice work for movies. He did the voices of the monsters in the movie I Am Legend.
