Filipinos are known to be one of the happiest people and I can really see the resemblance of that Filipino trait to Serin's sons. It's really nice to have such affectionate family.

I love how her husband isn't embarrassed or afraid to show his affection towards her and how he genuinely supports his wife in finding the thing she wants to do. Their sons are so caring and supportive too. I couldn't stop smiling like an idiot while watching this. Their family is so beautiful and they're very lucky to be surrounded by genuinely nice people. ☺💜

To be honest, having a childhood like their sons are the best ones. Every morning u woke up to help your parents by doing various of things that are related with mother nature; by the sea and animals to feed. This family is surely lovely. They balance each other flaws with their own strengths. Fighting!
It's like watching a kdrama with some old vibe. I can't stop smiling. You can really see the couple inlove even after almost 20years of marriage. I love how the husband doesn't seem to be embarassed showing affection to his wife and I see their sons got that trait from him. I like how the village/island where they live is welcoming and open to foreigners. Just like when they tried suman (filipino rice cake) and a villager said to her to teach their neighbors how to make it. Such a sweet episode.

Having a hardworking husband and a supportive wife is what makes a happy family. I love how they raised their kids and they still keep in touch with their relatives in Philippines. A mother is the light of the family. We love how they accepted a Filipina in that community.

After watching this lovely family, I couldn't care less of my degree in college, or having a job, or even having a career. All of I can think of is how happy it is to live the rest of your life in a simple way with your own family who loves and cares for each other.
This is truly a true definition of bliss. God bless to this family!

1. Negative issues piques the interest of people more than good news. I know this because i've been in radio and tv broadcast during my intership back in uni.
2. In korea (and other countries), they would publish more negative info about foreigners rather than saying "a local was caught abusing their foreign partners", no that would hurt the image of their own country. Instead, "a foreigner abused their local partners" would get more attention and get people more involved such as local government and people because you know, have to protect your own than foreigners.
@Georgina lovelots they're already hateful enough. Eventually locals will ignore that news, be in denial and would say it's "false claim".
omg this family is literally just so sweet. I love how the sons and her husband were all supporting her when she said that she wanted a job. 😭you could literally see the love they have for each other! 😍Really respect how the parents taught their sons. All the sons are so mature and its so nice to see them being helpful to their parents with their work. I was shook with what the second son, Hwamok (?), said to Serin at 43:15. Those are some wise words. 👏🏼 Just want to say how this episode has become one of my favorites! ❤️My Neighbor, Charles, thank you fo being such an amazing show! What a sweet family~ I hope Serin finds out what she likes doing and then can work in that field or maybe even start her own business! Also kudos for the guy that sells the cow‘s food to them! How generous is that to keep selling him the food even though they couldn‘t pay for 3 Months :( I hope they make a lot of money with the seaweed and cows so they can pay them back and don‘t have to worry about that~

Her husband is obviously inlove with her. The way he looks at her and the way he smiles at her. He looks at her with so much admiration. That’s so nice to see considering that Korean men (not everyone) are considered cold when it comes to relationship although they’re inlove, many of them are just not as affectionate.
I just realized that her Korean name, Jo Serin, is actually just what probably is her birthname, Jocelyn, written in Korean.

this made me tear up. like they mentioned in the episode, many filipina women seeking out better opportunities abroad often find themselves in abusive relationships. i'm so happy serin and her friends have found safety and comfort in their families. such a wholesome episode. :((
well because of their conversation i remembered my aunt who died 6 yrs ago in China she died because of the abuse it makes me guilty that i did not have a chance to talk to her even for once.

I love this show and this family is definitely a dream
I was quite concerned that they were not getting paid sometimes and i think that their income wasn't quite enough for their hardwork. Please, don't ever look down to people who works anything in and related to agriculture. We should highly respect them because if not for them we would not be able to eat delicious rice, fish, fruits, vegetables, and anything that's being harvested that we always eat everyday. Me as a youth, i realized that we need to be more aware on these kind of issues because these issues are also global concerns (One of the main issues of Globalization that's been being ignored) and we need to take action for that. There are workers all over the world that are not getting paid enough which causes poverty that led them for not being able to support themselves and their families, unable to buy basic needs, hunger and uncapable of having life and health insurances. As the youth, we need to be the generation for the better future where we should be a good example for others. By simply giving attention to an issue is one of the ways on how we can change the world a better place, because of this attention and concern we tend to think ways and solutions to solve these problems. The world is suffering from political corruption, crimes, illegal drugs and transactions, pandemic and diseases, climate change/global warming, discrimination, racism, inequality, greed and more. We need to get rid of these concerns and be the hope and light for the better future.
