@@Cskirt it was amazing how much voltage it's speech chip took - it didnt just die at 8 or 9v like most do but rather showed an increasing amount of malfunction with increasing voltage. The motors were obviously still being triggered by the speech chip but go way too fast from the excess voltage so you end up with the gears mashing and clicking.

I have a powder fire extinguisher for emergencies, but water is a lot less messy (with power off ofc), and I'm wearing a mask whenever there are potentially harmful fumes
