Frontier G-Rank Crimson Fatalis is the so called most evil Elder Dragon. Straight up evil, not just aggressive or dangerous. Its unique element is the "Crimson Demon" which is a mix of primarily fire and dragon.

20:58 To be fair, exposure therapy is actually a pretty common practice therapists use for phobias. For the uninitiated, exposure therapy can range from a little bit of exposure to the phobia, to intense exposure to the phobia. As my professor for one of my counseling classes put it, you can give a person with a dog phobia a stuffed dog, then progressively expose the person to dog objects until you get to the point of exposing the person to an actual dog. Alternatively, you can take someone with Claustrophobia and expose them to being put in a box and buried alive.
the way Crimson Fatalis interacts with the environment is amazing, instantly boosted him to one of my favorites just to watch in a fight. BUT it sadly led to a bunch of downtime of just waiting for him to get back up.
Whever Crimson and White Fatalis return in the main series I hope they get a rework similar to regular Fatalis in Iceborne. Would be really weird if they would just put slightly altered old version version of those two in a game. After Iceborne Fatalis the presumably stronger versions would feel very underwhelming if left unaltered.
@@R3LOADlikesgames I prefer if they bring the shark monster, that mammoth monster and Amatsu (flying fox I believe?) In one of the updates. I honestly wish they make Sunbreak into a semi GU type of game tbh.
I wonder what the canon Crimson Fatalis will be like since Iceborne gave us the 1st canon Fatalis fight. Fatalis was apparently never sighted before it destroyed Schrade 1000 years ago, nor since. Knowing that Fatalis awakened in MHW in reaction to Safi'jiiva, it makes me wonder if perhaps Fatalis reacting to a Safi'jiiva 1000 years ago is what caused it to destroy the country of Schrade.
@@BobThePenguin. I doubt they'd retcon themselves like that. Said themselves in the 15th anniversary event booklet that nobody had ever seen Fatalis before, and the General (an extremely high ranking officer in the Hunter's Guild) doesn't have any reports or confirmation. If HE doesn't know, there's no way any of those fights happened the way we thought they did. My hypothesis is that the hunts themselves did indeed happen, but the results weren't victorious battles. Instead, I think they went one of 2 ways. Either the Hunters went searching but never found Fatalis, or they did but died, maintaining the "nobody ever saw Fatalis and lived" statement.
Safi'Jiva is a very young monster so I doubt it is present 1000 years ago before that there's definitely some other monsters that awakened Fatalis which aligns very well about the Legendary Black Dragon song in older titles. The line "when the world is full of wyverns the legend is revived" kinda made sense in Iceborne but now that we see an Alatreon come to New World and Fatalis awakening earlier than expected it's definitely sure that the Black Dragons can sense other monsters from across their world.
@@timesnewramen4861 Maybe not the specific modern individual of Safi'jiiva that the Research Commission encountered, but a different individual 1000 years ago. And that's just a Xeno'jiiva; imagine the extra time to mature into a Safi'jiiva after it emerges from its cocoon! It takes a long freaking time to go from the egg to a fully mature Safi'jiiva even under the best of circumstances. It wouldn't surprise me if the Red Dragon that birthed the modern Xeno'jiiva and Safi'jiiva (those 2 may well have come from the same parent) was present at the time of Fatalis destroying Schrade and it maturing and reproducing was what brought forth the Black Dragon's wrath down on that kingdom.

The only difference is location. If it's underground it's magma, if it's out an about flowing around on the surface it's lava.
Also oxygen/air exposure, which also equates to temperature, though that is less a contributing factor and more so a side effect
