Okay, base hypnocatrice was not a monster I was keen on, but zenith hypnocatrice is right up my alley. He pulls a Darkrai to damage you in your sleep. That is so fucking awesome.

The sleep balls remind me of dark void, especially with that one scene in the darkrai movie where Darkrai just uses a whole bunch of dark void. Then the way it damages the hunters reminds me of bad dreams. That's why my brain landed on Darkrai. Well that, as well as Drakrai being my second favorite pokemon.
When hypnocatrice comes back, I want him to have the nightmare song and sleep bubbles that this zenith has (of course with less lethality) . It would be a great way to freshen up the terror bird that hasn’t been seen in 14 years.
Maybe make it so the nightmare song isn’t basically an insta-kill, but instead, say, halves your current health, giving at least a CHANCE to recover after.
I love that Frontier has a monster (well, a Zenith variation of one, anyway) that can practically instakill you through *psychological damage* . It just has the ability to instill such mental agony you keel over on the spot. That's amazing. While not technically "psychic", the concept of a monster capable of just willing your brain commit life'nt is just such a cool concept - and I'd love to see more of that. Monsters that actually get into your head.

Monsters similar to Zenith Hypnocatrice (or some of the Deviants I guess) is something I want more of. Strong and threatening versions of otherwise low tier Monsters. Give me a super powered Aknosom or Tobi Kadachi or Banbaro.
I would love to face the Scarred Yian Garuga of Tobi Kadachis. Just balls out speed, aggression and spite screeching down out of the trees at you, laying down a big thunder explosion when it lands
This is my favorite monster in the Frontier series. The mechanic is so interesting and the armor in the next episode's skit is actually what brought me back to watching the series!

My experience with the monster Hunter Saga is quite limited having played only Iceborne and Sunbreak, but from what I'm seeing it appears to me old games have much more inventive and original monsters.
Sounds a bit subjective, like I don't see what is more inventive and original about base Hynocatrice as compared to a recent sleep monster like Somnacanth.

Zenith Hypnocatrice is basically Freddy Krueger.
I just realized that it has heterochromia. Its "Nargacuga-lines" are orange and blue and so are it's eyes (watch the deathscene).
Let's hope that Hypno and his zenith counterpart will be in Sunbreak or in the future MH games.
