She has had a lot of hits especially in the 80's such as "Girls Just Want To Have Fun", "Time After Time", "She Bop", "All Through The Night", "Change Of Heart", "I Drove All Night" etc. "True Colors" was recorded by Cyndi in 1986. Phil Collins did a great cover of it in 1998.
Her vocals go everywhere... pop, rock, punk, blues, jazzy numbers, dance. I recommend: Change of Heart, Boy Blue (the video is a live cut; this song as a single did not chart well but it does show off her vocal chops live). Her 90's output was completely ignored by radio so most non fans will not know her 90's material. So I suggest: Who Let In The Rain, That's What I Think, I'm Gonna Be Strong, You Don't know. There's more of Cyndi beyond the 90's that continued to go under the radar. Into the nightlife or Funnel of Love.
