    Looking good there B-man! I was watching you track in and was thinking..."where the hell is his MATS"...lol. 1st time I dredged a pond, I found out that a Timberjack 225 log skidder can winch out a 260 with ease, 8 times before it was all over! No, I didn't have mats. Didn't even know they made such an item.

    That was a great pond for the Koochies maiden voyage! No rocks, no dam to rebuild, no mats required and... a helper to tote it away. But, best of all, no mud bath! Do you think you'll get so luck on the pond at Diamond Grove?
    Looks to me that you did a fine job on that pond. Keep it up and Chris will start recommending you to handle his overflow jobs.
    Anyone that doesn't think that silt will grow plants just needs to look at this video. Have you ever seen lusher grass than that? Can you imagine mixing it 50/50 with some good compost to make a garden??? WOW
    If we ever get a good rain, it'd be great to see a picture of it full of water.

    @floridabrushanddirt2482 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    On smaller ponds especially I start with the bottom or deepest point, I get that right first trip if possible and make it deep. That part sucks but after that all of the water and soupy stuff sits in the bottom and leaves you free to pull banks or whatever you want to do without dealing with the slop. I’m good at ponds I just suck at TH-cam 🤣🤣🤣

    • @eliteearthworksllc

  • @C10sRule
    @C10sRule 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ya know,,,,,,, it’s probably this job got delayed. You didn’t have much mud really. It was at least not slop except that bit at the beginning. You started well. As you know, Chris starts in an area, sometimes any area, and gets a feel for things and it progresses from there! You were really fortunate your buddy or his friend was haling a lot away. By the end of the day you had moved a serious amount of dirt! That big machine is pretty nice! When you moved it once and then again, that’s a common thing, even when we had them work in our ponds on the ranch. Ponds like this we usually called a dugout. Same thing really, but we don’t have a lot of running water or rain here so we fill them with irrigation water from reservoirs. Grading it nice and easy was the thing to do especially if cattle are drinking directly from it. Depends on how he works with them. It did become a decent sized dugout again!! Haha.
    Thanks Brandon!! I’m sure a lot of viewers enjoyed this. Ponds and mud seem to be a great topic. Not for me, causes stress and bad memories!!! Hahaha, not really,,,,,,,,.
    As usual, please, you and the family stay safe, Eh!
