Pressure washer Unloader causing engine surge

I know the video quality is low its a old phone . This washer was not running right when I picked it up. I have the motor running well but now the pressure surges and almost stalls the engine. Is it a sign of a failing pump or a bad unloader

Every-time you use your powerwasher always run water through your hose to let the air out and out of the wand handle to prevent air from getting in the system/ that piece you were pointing at is the pressure switch you can tighten it for more pressure or back it off for less pressure sometimes though there’s a pin at the end of that that’s suppose to move up n down sometimes taking it apart and just giving it a knock on a flat surface will make it move again

My DeWalt pressure washer does the same thing when running, couldn't figure out what the problem is. Look for air leak but nothing. I am gonna put an external unloader on to see if it stops surging.

It hunts for pressure like that when there is a leak. Even a very small leak in the pressure hose/gun/wand can cause it.

If it was a leak it would be leaking water and easy to see.

gusworld the pump was damaged and there is a seal or valve problem. Im going to run it until pump stops

@@Mac-mu9cs mine surges when I let go of the trigger and it leaks water from the pump so I just ordered the water seals, will see if that's the issue on mine

Mine surges like that but is 1 hr old! I wS told unloaded valve.

I dont think its my unloader valve because the pressure is fine its the motor that bogs down.

Never got to a solution. I was able to get it running and working enough for the owner to be happy.
