  • It doesn't show it, but all the metal was thourghly power wire brushed, cleaned, and a good coating of Ospho rust preventative was sprayed over it all.. The cab and sheet metal was coated with 180. dollar a gallon Rustoleum Rust Reformer.. Then dried and then sprayed with rust preventative satin black paint.

    When we bought the fuel tank in Kansas,
    it came with it's original curved stamped steel cross members, as shown,
    and with one curved wooden insert, that we used as a pattern for the other ones.
    It also came with it's original 2 cresoted 4" X 6" beams, which fit the Model T frame perfectly.

    Cant wait for the next video. I stay out in Baytown. I got an oldie goodie you fellas may be interested in. A runningGMC 305E Big Block V6. Its a neat old engine, just pulled it ou to make way for a 454. Got video of it running before I pulled it. Neat looking , kinda like a 409.

    Not surprised the frame cracked. I bet that tank is *way* too big for a model T. Looks cool though :D
