This is like one of my coziest children memories. In the early 90ies we traveled long distances on holidays between Germany and Poland, often at night. With the road ahead, the cabin only illuminated with the dim lights from the dashboard and soft music from the radio, I looked into the night outside and imagined being on a space ship...Or trying to gander into passing cars or homes imagining, where their live journey is heading....

I see a lot of Polish truck drivers on the road here in Norway, as I work on the road myself as a compressor technician. It's quite common. All I want to say is you Polish people are more than welcome here. I've stopped and talked to so many of you on rest stops, gas stations, industrial complexes etc. in broken english from both of us. And you guys are always nice, helpful, down to earth, hard working people who always have time for a chat. Everytime you guys have a delivery for us at our HQ, I always offer coffee, bathroom, shower and food for you. This offcourse also applies to every other driver. But I always get a little extra happy whenever I see a licence plate with PL on it.

@nikotimer This is why I always try to spend a little extra time with truck drivers coming to our shop, I speak to at the ferry dock or help with directions and/or putting on snow chains. It's a long drive to take alone, and some company over a cup of coffee does wonders for the morale. Have a nive new week, and stay safe on the road.
The turning radius on these trucks is amazing I’m from the USA and have always drove long nose trucks We love them here but I got respect for those scandias they are neat.
Yes, I agree with you, in Europe the trucks are shorter than in the US and they enter the turn with less reserve! I see that truck drivers in the US have more difficult conditions with long trailers! It is certainly breathtaking when I see how drivers in America drive and in what places they can push their trailer in reverse! I admire such experienced people! :)

Engines and trucks of the 80s and 90s are the most reliable! Such technologies were once used to create engines for many years. Now new trucks are made for 5 years maximum, so that the owner spends the remaining 5 or 10 years on spare parts that will exceed the purchase of a second new truck! Repairing modern trucks is also very difficult, because there is a lot of electronics everywhere and without a computer with special software you can’t fix anything! I think it's not possible because European trucks are poorly equipped and have little space inside the cabin compared to American mobile homes. No American driver would want to work in this cramped chicken coop! Thank you for your comment and support! Take care! :)
European trucks Are not good for the driver comfort over long distance like a american truck. The types of road in usa with long, straight highways makes the design of the american trucks good.
Our roads would tear them up. I can't imagine much being left on these low trucks after a trip across I-10 through Louisiana. Lol. They are really cool though and would be excellent for dedicated/local work in metro areas. I think somebody just recently imported a Scania to the US so maybe they'll get some traction.

I agree with you, if it were possible to easily change cameras to mirrors, I would change these cameras back to regular mirrors! This technology is still very raw and has not been developed to perfect operation! The right camera already shows very poorly and needs to be replaced, and this is very expensive (replacement was estimated by a service in Poland at three thousand euros). I don’t know how cameras work in other trucks, but this is a very short-lived solution. But I admit that this is a very convenient and bold solution, because there is no blind spot in the window that large mirrors form, and when entering a roundabout, everything is clearly visible through the window! When I saw this I was surprised because the large truck looks like the same as a medium truck in Asia. I assumed when I saw the tire size it would be small but with a trailer load😅. Thank you for such a great comment! In Europe there is another category of trucks that carry high loads inside the trailer and the wheels of these trucks are even smaller than those of my truck. It is called Mega or Low Deck! The wheels on the trailer have a small radius but are very wide. This truck have good visibility and driving is comfortable and smooth not hard to drive and reverse unlike the American trucks ( but I like western star truck it’s just feels like space cargo ship to me 😂💔 ) I’m big fan of star citizen born too soon

I saw one of the first American trucks without a nose in the front in the movie Terminator, where there was a chase for a kid on a motorcycle! I wish we had these types of trucks in the US.
I think it's not possible because European trucks are poorly equipped and have little space inside the cabin compared to American mobile homes. No American driver would want to work in this cramped chicken coop! Thank you for your comment and support! Take care! :)
European trucks Are not good for the driver comfort over long distance like a american truck. The types of road in usa with long, straight highways makes the design of the american trucks good.

Our roads would tear them up. I can't imagine much being left on these low trucks after a trip across I-10 through Louisiana. Lol. They are really cool though and would be excellent for dedicated/local work in metro areas. I think somebody just recently imported a Scania to the US so maybe they'll get some traction.

I agree with you, if it were possible to easily change cameras to mirrors, I would change these cameras back to regular mirrors! This technology is still very raw and has not been developed to perfect operation! The right camera already shows very poorly and needs to be replaced, and this is very expensive (replacement was estimated by a service in Poland at three thousand euros). I don’t know how cameras work in other trucks, but this is a very short-lived solution. But I admit that this is a very convenient and bold solution, because there is no blind spot in the window that large mirrors form, and when entering a roundabout, everything is clearly visible through the window! When I saw this I was surprised because the large truck looks like the same as a medium truck in Asia. I assumed when I saw the tire size it would be small but with a trailer load😅. Thank you for such a great comment! In Europe there is another category of trucks that carry high loads inside the trailer and the wheels of these trucks are even smaller than those of my truck. It is called Mega or Low Deck! The wheels on the trailer have a small radius but are very wide.
