I'd either have to set it to slam on it to compress that rubber or tap on it and lock up. There was no middle ground unfortunately. Since it's not a loadcell I think having a lot of travel and just using the compression of the spring to indicate you are getting close is good enough. i find it better with the rubber, it means you can brake full force at a more consistant rate and if you really need to send it you can attack the brake more aggresively to get that little extra braking, plus that in most pro race cars the brake pedal is that short, youre not supposed to press it that far, not even road cars do that

My problem with my brakes were I would end up having to sit down lower in my seat to use my brakes fully so I just threw wood behind it till it reached me and now it’s more like I’m pushing down on it instead of towards it
I don't understand the problem people have. Each game has a brake range setting. You press the break in as hard as you are personally able and define that as the "max" so it will equate to 100% brake pressure. There's really no issue here.
I’m sorry, but the carpet grip has a clip on it?? This whole time I just assumed that that was how it’s supposed to be. My carpet just wasn’t right so the pedals were slipping. I am so glad I saw this.
now its soft and does not feel like a twin stage spring pedal. this makes it worse... the fact its hard to press is intentional your better off calibrating it to be max brake when you push it as far yous you physcally can then to just remove the entire brake feel
Instead of physically modifying it, I just calibrated the brake pedal using windows USB game controller settings. When you calibrate the brake, push it in as far as you would comfortably while racing and braking at full force. That makes that level 100% braking force. The pedal still feels good but doesn't require F1 style braking to reach 100% braking. If you are racing in assetto corsa you can also just change the % activation in the settings, but I recommend calibrating using the windows USB game controller settings either way.
@mintgoldheart6126 it's not really about stiffness even but more about TRUE brake pedal feel and fidelity. You shouldn't need a body builders leg press to achieve 100% brake force but the other 90% is like an egg shell.
How to fix a G920 find the nearest window throw it out and buy a thrustmaster wheel the T300 GTs is in the same price range maybe a little more but so much better
I think the brake sensitivity should just be adjusted as the travel of the pedal is realistic, its just that when u slam the brakes, it doesn't do the same in the game
On your PC, check the USB game controller settings & you’ll be able to adjust how far you push down on the brake pedal before it registers as 100%. Helps big time
Is more useful stiff, helps to not lock the wheels specially in a open wheel or old rally car also you control it by force so you can graduate it Edit: it’s preference no mean to call anyone slower if they use it or not, but in my case it helps a lot
i personally found it made it way more difficult for me to judge how hard i was braking, once i removed the rubber my lap times improved significantly. i think the mod just helps it feel more like road car brakes that i’m used to
Umm… that bump stop represents brake pressure, I’d highly recommend leaving it in and getting comfortable with it. It has saved my ass many times from locking up in real world driving just from the muscle memory of locking up in games. It’s not 100% accurate but it teaches you a great idea on what to do with your braking foot in real life situations
When I was on those pedals I setup the cars to be 100% maximum braking without locking up right where that rubber was. I loved it. That said, my modded T3PM's are much, much bettee.

Interesting. I have a G923 and it doesn’t have that block in it. Every video I’ve seen says they’re the same but my pedals don’t have the rubber block. Are the G923’s using a stiffer spring?
I got a load cell kit for $150 and replaced the pot and rubber with a load cell... Then i put a new, heavier spring in the brake, moved the OG break spring to the clutch, and the clutch spring to the throttle. Now everything is nicer. The brake pedal is more realistic, the throttle and clutch are nice and weighty too. but the only problem is carpet gripper isnt powerful enough to grip the carpet anymore
It doesn’t crush racing sim hopes and dreams, it crushes NFS-Forza Horizon-Arcade dreams. Not a single sim racer wants his brake to feel like his clutch or gas pedal. Takes away any realism.
Ain't way ppl saying the g920 brakes are stiff. They are so fucking softt asf like I want a loadcell so bad cuz how soft it is. Your real car brake pedals are ment to be soft cuz you drive it and not race it. Racing car has a brake force of upto 100kgs

@@southernbustransportationi say the Same i like it being so soft
@southernbustransportation yeah but you're not telling anyone about the huge dead zone at the bottom of the pedal either
@@southernbustransportationbut if you run cars with no abs in iracing then that rubber is super useful because it gives resistance around 60% brake which is close to wear you lock up. No rubber means your foot needs to know exactly how far to push the pedal consistently with no feedback
didn't know that having 100% of the brakes instead of 10% is ruining it🤡
TimmyTheOtter sounds so down bad in this video 😂 Good video though.
When I press down on my g920 pedals I feel like I’m breaking it 😂
I never took mine out and I brake better than 90% of the people on the server I play on. Just takes some getting used to.
i find it better with the rubber, it means you can brake full force at a more consistant rate and if you really need to send it you can attack the brake more aggresively to get that little extra braking, plus that in most pro race cars the brake pedal is that short, youre not supposed to press it that far, not even road cars do that
Nahhhhhh you just need a bigger spring less resistance is worse 😅
Always wondered why it was like this, I’m really getting into the sim racing now and I’m trying to tweak everything so it’s perfect
I guess it’s like that for realism, real life brakes can be pushed really hard since there is no 100% braking force in real life
@@benthelender Yeah but when i "drove" a car, it wasn't THAT hard to brake. Its easier in a tractor to brake
so dont change it its more realistic but still not even close to the real thing.
@@Wiatrak0 raecars are different my guy
@@sethssimps2733 I know but i don't think it is that hard as it is on the logitech pedals
Each to their own, but I personally like the rubber stopper. I hated it at first, but after using it for a while I started liking it. I can totally understand this mod for those who don't have a proper sim rig as the pedals will slide on the floor, but with a proper sim rig I find that the stiff stopper makes heel-toeing sooooo much easier to control 👍
Same here. I got my rubber in back like a week ago. Heeltoe is satisfying as hell now. Only thing is I play on xbox, and I can't see any calibrating options for the pedal range in ac, and acc to do a little tweak down that made driving in pc2 so good for me. Beside that trail braking and ht is just much better and precise with the goddamn thing. Pozdro666
here's a life tip, don't buy logitech products.
Do this mess up my warranty?
Yes
U can also calibrate the breaks in your settings , that’s what I did with my g920 🤣
@@eldominici3732 how?
@@CoolD10 go into your setting and look for your steering wheel it varies for most games then click on calibration it should let you adjust the breaks from there … it’s basically the same for all games they just have different layouts….
@@eldominici3732 ive tried that it works well in assetto corsa but in american truck simulator there is a brake setting but it doesent go down low enough for me. a way ive found is by going into the control panel on windows and recalibrating your brake pedal from there. havent tried it yet but should work
Be careful with this I screwed a hole threw my wire and it makes me so mad I Loki wanna of myself cause of it
I had to do this when I got mine, it took me so long
Put it back lol you ruined your pedals
Amazing I was playing f1 22 when I tried braking and downshifting I ran straight through a wall 😊
so we can confirm this made your pedals better
Tried this and it's worse, it makes it too soft and any proper racer with abs turned off is just gonna constantly lock up after being used to the stiff pedal it came with
The 3drap pedal mods are game changing, and if you’re taking the pedals apart, you may as well fit them. My G27 brake pedal feels so good now by comparison and I can brake far more accurately.
Is it really that much better?
Don't skip leg day kids
Or maybe people are doing this to stop pushing their chair back anytime they try to brake
why tf did they even put that in there in the first place????

Thank you, I have a weird rig that breaks in half whenever I brake. This should help
Ask yourself when your drive a normal car , are you gonna remove the force from your braking system ?
Bro fucking thank u cuz mine came so stiff and barely registering unless I pressed with all my leg strength like god dam lol
Will this make it so my car actually has brakes instead of me pushing the pedal and still only having like 75%
You aren't pushing it all the way in, that rubber cube works fine for people with a playseat but most people don't have one, so either take it out but that will make your brakes super weak so what you should do is buy a modded spring
Put your pedals against a wall and if you can’t reach the pedals add little bits of wood or a box. My problem with my brakes were I would end up having to sit down lower in my seat to use my brakes fully so I just threw wood behind it till it reached me and now it’s more like I’m pushing down on it instead of towards it
Just put maximum brake distance in games and it will do wonders, i set 100% when i touch the rubber so i don't have to use too much of force.
I don't understand the problem people have. Each game has a brake range setting. You press the break in as hard as you are personally able and define that as the "max" so it will equate to 100% brake pressure. There's really no issue here.
i unscrewed it all help😭
I cut a small part of this rubber
BRO THERES A CARPET GRIP?!?! that fixes like 90% of my issues with it
Do not do this. Get a true brake and thank me later. Best mod hands down. Drastically improved my times after I installed it and got used to it.
I enjoy the brake pedal being hard to completly push
Finally someone knows
Also, don't skip leg day. The Logitech pedals really aren't that stiff.
Yes thank you it is perfect I can finally break in asseto corsa
Plastic plastic plastic plastic. So much proprietary plastic garbage.
That's what I did, now the "brake" is my clutch. Got Asetek Forte for brake and throttle.
That's... Not what you do, the brake pedal is supposed to be stiff to mimic actual race car brake pressure
I think the brake sensitivity should just be adjusted as the travel of the pedal is realistic, its just that when u slam the brakes, it doesn't do the same in the game
I would suggest keeping that plastic bit around, it may be required for RMA
Dude shuutttt uppppp, it workeeddd. Thank youuu!
So you're telling a little peice of rubber is the reason I went off track and had to learn to brake early 🤔🤔🤔
The brake pedal itself is to stiff but taking out the rubber thing is just too soft is there a way to kind of meet in the middle of the two?
On your PC, check the USB game controller settings & you’ll be able to adjust how far you push down on the brake pedal before it registers as 100%.
Helps big time
So have sim racers never driven an actual car before? wtf is the point of not having brake feedback?
Is more useful stiff, helps to not lock the wheels specially in a open wheel or old rally car also you control it by force so you can graduate it
Edit: it’s preference no mean to call anyone slower if they use it or not, but in my case it helps a lot
i personally found it made it way more difficult for me to judge how hard i was braking, once i removed the rubber my lap times improved significantly. i think the mod just helps it feel more like road car brakes that i’m used to
You could just pull the brake pedal and take it out without un-screwing anything
flipping the pedals upside down and mouting them looks waaay more better.
Why would you want so much play on a brake pedal tho??
dude could have went into the software and calibrated the full brake to where the rubber stop is
i did this and now it's buzzing and won't connect when the pedals are plugged in
I saw someone add even more rubber, as if it wasn't stiff enough already
Umm… that bump stop represents brake pressure, I’d highly recommend leaving it in and getting comfortable with it. It has saved my ass many times from locking up in real world driving just from the muscle memory of locking up in games. It’s not 100% accurate but it teaches you a great idea on what to do with your braking foot in real life situations
When I was on those pedals I setup the cars to be 100% maximum braking without locking up right where that rubber was. I loved it. That said, my modded T3PM's are much, much bettee.
Or just switch the clutch and brakes in the game. (Like Assetto Corsa). Problem solved. And shift with the paddles. This is an option for H shifters. So yea nice video anyway :)
Idk about yall, I had an e92 335 with m3 brakes, and now I own an f22 m235 with brembos and the Logitech brakes felt like garbage with the black stopper. I prefer it without….
You want a hard brake pedal! This is what kids want because they use it on their gaming office chair and they can't push the brake pedal down far enough. The vrake pedal in a race car is hard.. You count on muscle memory with regards to braking force rather than pedal position.. With no resistance youll have to rely on pedal position...
Bro never did left foot braking... This small thing is to compensate for you "clutch kick" habbit... But then again this mod is perfekt for euro truck simulator. 👌
