  • The Paasche Raptor is a pretty cool airbrush. While it has it's quarks, I think it is a little known gem. American airbrushes don't quite get the love they should.

Awesome! The raptor is the one that wins it for me it’s slick and that small cup is killer for fine detail work. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for watching. Yeah the more I use it the more I love it. Paasche hit the mark with this one for sure.

You got it. I'm working on a multi part howto on laying out your line work in Inkscape, and bringing into your cutter software.

Thanks for sharing, I don't understand why companies as big as Paasche don't have videos of what their airbrushes can do. I hadn't found a good recent video of the Raptor or the Paasche Vision (which is the one that draws my attention the most although I don't like its price). After watching your video I'll be able to make a better decision on which one to buy.

Thanks for watching. The Vision, like the Raptor is the same brush as the Talon. Where the Raptor has a smaller cup, the Vision adds a MAC valve and a fancy black finish. I was looking at all three, and the Raptor won for me. Good brush at a great price. If I didn't already have brushes with Mac valves, I would likely have gotten the Vision. But a quick release with a MAC is cheap, and the smaller cup is much nicer to work with.😎

    Great review.
You might like the trigger from the paasche vision if you can find one.

Thanks for watching, and for the tip. The Vision trigger is clearly a step up. I'll probably bag one.

Most of the videos I have watched run the air pressure anywhere from 8 psi to 20 psi with needles that are .2 mm so as to keep the paint from spidering from too much air pressure. Maybe that will help with such thin paint and small tip.

Thanks for watching. under 10 PSI is too low for this brush. Paasche brushes tend to be air hungry in my experience. I had it running at 15 with it way over reduced. I run my Creos with a .18 and Infinity with a .15 at some very low pressures.
