    My first game in a stadium as a kid !!! I remember on the way to the ground they had that promotion an gave us a lot of Candybars Lions, Mars and so, unforgetable

    I believe this was the second leg, with Spurs going through on aggregate.

      yes 4 days after being mugged by Liverpool in the league cup final they lost this game 2/1 but won the tie 3/2. sadly Barcelona literally kicked them out in the semi finals

      @@dlamiss And Liverpool were knocked-out of Europe by CSKA Sofia on the same day, maybe the extra-time at Wembley affected them more than Spurs.
      As for Barcelona, hard to believe giving their recent tiki-taki period, that in those days they, along with other Spanish clubs, were thought of as animals on the pitch!

      @@MrJonno85 Bruce Grobbelaar gifted Sofia their first goal (which levelled the score on aggregate) with a howler. Plus the Sofia game itself went into extra-time. Liverpool were affected by having to play two lots of extra-time within days of each other.

      @@matthewleslie4448 Ian Rush also 'scored' with an effort that was anything between a foot and a yard over the line, but the effort was not given as a goal as it was not deemed to have crossed the line by the ref.
