Apart from the other half from Dundee, everyone in Scotland supported United on their UEFA cup run.
    Amazing days.

@@beorlingothere are two Dundee teams . Dundee and Dundee utd.
So possibly the Dundee fans didn't want to see their rivals succeed, although I'd bet they were pleased for them.

OMG! I was there that night as a 10 year old! Not as a Dundee supporter, but as a Borussia fan. I lived in the City for 3 years - great place! I also watched the previous round, where Borussia had beaten Rangers 1-0 on Agg. Well done Dundee though, you played superb!

1-1 on aggregate. Borussia knocked rangers out of the away goal.

kevin gallagher Oh really? I thought it was 1-0 from the first leg, and 0-0 2nd leg

Dundee United, not Dundee, we have 2 teams in the city!

El Dundee United llegó a la final y la perdió con el IFK Goteborg, por el camino eliminó al Fc Barcelona, ganando en el Camp Nou. Buen equipo. Qué recuerdos! Un saludo.

Cheers on behalf of the Dundee utd fans.
I used to love watching this small town team beating some of the best in Europe for about 10 years in the 80s

So many iconic moments during this golden period by the Arabs . Maybe most iconic though was Billy Thomson’s Trakkie bottoms

Great days when the media wasn't all about the shitty Glasgow teams ,and the class and respect was better than the garbage in Scottish football today

I was at the return match at Tannadice 5-0 Utd, what a game and performance

The first game was at Tannadice and finished 0-0. The 5-0 game was a few years before that and followed a 2-0 defeat in Germany. That 5-0 game was probably the best Utd performance I’ve seen.

I’m not a supporter, but I used to love going to the Wednesday night games.

What teams Scotland had. I remember the incredible game by Aberdeen vs Bayern in 1983. Then Dundee United showed up and almost took the Uefa Cup. And the big teams in Scotland were Rangers and Celtic. Even the big teams are nothing now as money has just taken over football and destroyed those leagues. Not even Scotland is good at football anymore.

Only high balls against a Scottish team - strange tactics from Borussia.

A very well drilled Scottish side ....they soaked it up. then countered to perfection in many away games .

      @uweneuhaus315 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@spidey1405 Well, the decision in this semi-final was a goalkeeper mistake by Borussia after a corner kick. And if you don't score in two games, you don't deserve to reach a final.

@@uweneuhaus315 very true....but at least they tried to play the game in a fair way....Unlike when we gave Roma a proper roasting here in Scotland...So out came death threats ,all night parties in the United team hotel and of course the referee taking bribes in return leg in Rome....lovely team 😉😉😉

Dundee United were a fantastic team during the 1980s. Eamonn Bannon, Ralph Milne, Paul Sturrock and others were great players. They were good enough to reach the European Cup semi finals in 1984 and they beat Barcelona in the 1987 quarter final. That was a good team which knocked Borussia out.
