Thanks for the vid. Helped a lot. One thing I changed was instead of cutting, I used an air chisel and removed the four studs. I was able to separate the unit from the tail pipe. It prob would have been quicker to cut but this allows me to store them in case I need to reinstall.
Awesome video help, just did this with the flo-pro on my 2014 RAM. A couple of other comments -- the rear clamp, mine snapped the bolt but the kit came with 2 clamps so rear clamp not needed. I peeled it off and ground down the spot weld. Also, you need to reuse the gasket on the front downpipe - I would recommend getting a new one ahead of time for the install. Also be sure to lube up the hangars with silicone or something to help get the pins out. The clip on the DEF injector, I peeled both sides back and used pliers to pull it out, then the connector slipped right off. Otherwise all went as shown in the video. I used efi live tuner with a stealth diesel tune for the delete, all working well!!!
Mine did the same with the bolt snapping. My exhaust is a 3 piece so I needed the end clamp. Put a wrench in the job completion. Therefore, have a new 4" exhaust clamp available.

I've been looking all over for how much of this exhaust is going and staying. So far I've got the filter and the rear out and now I can order the new pipe and no longer worry about that.
I'll be watching the other videos as well for the EGR but then have to have it tuned. That's going to be the tough part... finding someone out in my area to tune the damn thing.....
Purchased a 2018 Laramie MegaCab 2500 6.7L 4WD in Tucson, AZ today. Truck was a one owner, retired couple that used it to pull their 5th wheel RV, The truck is nearly spotless and was clearly treated well and serviced religiously during it’s 105k mile life. I am a General Contractor and have used Fords for the last 10 years with mixed results as far as reliability. I have high hopes for my first Dodge experience. I plan on performing Mods myself with the goal of increased fuel economy and HP/Torque but not at the risk of reliability. I have watched a few of your videos and have thoroughly enjoyed your content. Plan on viewing all you have that relates to my truck. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and I’m open to any suggestions you might have as a place to start. Again, thanks for the videos and look forward to becoming a member of your community.

I wish there was an easier way to get in contact with you in case I run into any issues or questions. One more thing, I’ve been recommended to use the raceme ultra for doing this, are you familiar with that at all? If so is it user friendly?

These videos are a great tool for a DIY guy. You make it look so easy. I do have one question, what do you do with the DEF line once unplugged from the DPF filter? Just plug it, tie it up? I can't say how many times I have watched both the DPF & EGR vids. Keep up the great work.
Yup I just unplug it and zip tie it to the frame
I just finished the delete pipes. First I slipped the bent pipe into the exhaust pipe, but it took me a while to figure how to get the second pipe in. The second pipe wouldn't fit between the down pipe and the bent pipe. I took a while to remember that the turbo down pipe was flexible. After the moving the down pipe out of the way everything fit together.

Hey man great video , I just finished this job literally 1 hour ago and truck runs and sounds awesome.. only thing is I noticed my DEF probe is leaking when the truck is running? Is there another plug near the tank I missed ?

Very helpful , thanks for the video. I’ve got a 17 ram boutta delete at 228,800 miles. Getting clogged. Any recommendations? I’m just going to try and clean as much soot out of the intake horn and openings as possible.
Considering how expensive these parts are, it seems like it'd be in your best interest to carefully remove the items without cutting or breaking anything so you can either reuse it later when you have to pass emissions, or sell it to someone who has problems with theirs.
They are pricey. Scrappers pay between 3 and 9 hundred for the dpf's
Nice video, thank you ! I am going to follow the same route but (EFI live + cat/dpf delete) I am thinking to keep the EGR on just in case I have to revert the truck to factory state. Does having EGR on but disabled ?

Hey Prairie Boy we have shop here in Brooks Alberta and would like to know the parts that were required for the delete clamps and the pipe?
The Knox sensor only unplugs from one side. The other side is fixed on the module. So only the grey side unplugs

Hey Kyle, I did a egr delete on my 2013 6.7 and everything went smoothly until I tried to take the 13mm nut off the back of the cooler and the stud broke. Do I need to replace the whole exhaust manifold or what can I use to get that stud out?
I have approximately 1/2” of stud sticking up from the manifold. I tried using vise grips but nothing.

deleted 2014 ram 2500 was wondering if you have to unplug upstream nox sensor and one on the down pipe as well? or its okay to leave those two plugged in ?

Most people remove the def tank,I saw a Vajeo of a guy who used it for a reserve fuel tank.

In order not to cut anything for stock removal of the exhaust, do I remove the tail pipe first? Also, is it advantageous to remove the DEF tank and crossmember first to give me more room to remove the exhaust components?

Great video. I’m doing flo-pro4” flex pipe aft exhaust now on my 2020 ram. Do I remove the EGT probe in the flex pipe, disconnect it or leave it hooked up? If I remove it, what size plug fits the bung?
Just unplug it should be fine

At what step did you take the exhaust hangers off? Before unbolting or after unbolting? Any advice on removing the hangers?
I unbolt everything then I spray lube like WD40 on the rubber hangers then I pry them off with a pry bar and drop the exhaust out
doing a cat back delete on my wifes truck a 2007.5 Ram 2500. What do i do with the two lines coming back from trany do i just unplug it and plug the rubber lines with a bolt? I cant get them off the exhaust.

That’s odd, my guess is that you might have bumped the sensor or wires when you were removing or installing the new exhaust. Check the wiring at the fuel filter under the box of your truck
Drain fuel filter, or change them
The wiring connectors that were disconnected from all the exhaust do they just get left unplugged or do they get hooked up to something?
Just leave them unplugged. If you want you can put some dielectric grease in them and tape them up to keep the water out.
I am trying to find the same part number you provided but have no luck. The website you used says it cannot be shipped to the U.S. Any advise ?
If you take the rear exhaust pipe hangers loose there is more than enough room to get the filter and muffler out without issue. No problem and easy. Spray WD40 or similar all over the hangers and nuts before you start and life is easier.
That's what I did. It looked like the connection to the tail pipe was pretty tight on this video though. I used a flat head and loosened it with it and a hammer to slide along with some WD as well.
If you do this mod will the RAM dealer still work on your truck or will they tell you, sorry we can't work on it?
im doing a deleting egr/dpf on my 2013 ram 3500 srw ,, do i need a throttle valve delete kit ? what a good tunner for a aisin trans ?
Is there any negative to leaving the disconnected EGR equipment in place on the truck? Will the EGR components go bad somehow? I ask because I need to keep the appearance of having a stock truck. Thanks in advance.

You must have a problem with your emission system. Sounds like it’s not doing the burn procedure properly
Does a person need to replace the gasket where the downpipe connects with the 3 bolts to the new DPF delete pipe OR, do I just remove the entire gasket that was there from OE and scrape it clean to mate metal to metal?
A just wondering if u do def delete do u need to get it program from the factory or can u use the factory program on it just wondering
at 1:10 pinch those two ends of the white clip on the injector together to dis-engage clip and injector comes right off without breaking off clip.
Does this work the same for a 2012 6.7 Cummins?
Got the dealer to do EFI live tune/delete. After deleting my EGR I had check engine codes about throttle, is it normal? Just hate not having remote start now lol

So what’s up with closing off the coolant lines on the dozer in the middle of doing egr delete and turbo back exhaust but coolant is pouring everywhere

When all the exhaust connectors stay unplugged, will the engine like stay on after you install the EFI live tune?
No the efi live makes it so no engine lights are on
Can you make a video on installing Security Bypass cable and then installing tunes on a 2018-now cummins.
Look at my second most recent video, I go over installing the bypass cable but not much into tuning because I tune differently then you would.

Ordered my tune for my 2017 ram 2500 from doublerdiesel...also ordered this exhaust from zzdiesel...not sure if its flo pro but same part number..I havent installed yet but curious if you had to cut anything or was it perfect size. I have a crew cab.. also gunna try a Ebay egr delete kit as it's pretty much just a hose, clamps, and plate. Didnt wanna spend too much on that so I hope it works.
The Flo-Pro kits come with two extra pipes for the cummins, one pipe you add if its a mega cab and the second you add if its long box, so you shouldn't have to cut anything. When you install the exhaust start at the front and work your way to the back then once its all hanging in place start putting on the clamps. Sometimes you have to modify it but usually they don't have any issues!

@@darkirondiesel I will add for some reason mine came with 2 clamps..the clamp that connects the 2 new pipes together. Not sure why but oh well

Tune is needed or truck will be in limp mode.

A friend deleted Def and installed raceme ultra last week. Set on 30hp program. Mechanic told him 60hp and up would trash transmission. Not seeing any gain in fuel ecconomy. Def hollowed out and reinstalled so it's impossible to tell truck has been deleted. What do you suggest to improve fuel ecconomy. 2018 ram 3500 4×4

Ya buddy you have to program the truck to run without the emission system. You will also have to remove the DPF by installing an aftermarket exhaust

Personally I program first, then unplug, then start truck to make sure there are no engine lights
So is it not worth buying a full 4” straight pipe from the flex pipe back? Is there really a benefit in that. It seems the delete pipe is cheaper you get the same result.

So I just bought a 2017 and my check engine light came on and my remote start shuts off 2 seconds after it starts... I'm sure it's a sensor on the exhaust so I've decided to do a full delete and exhaust... should this help with check engine lights?
What is the fault code and if it is aftertreatment related then yes.
Hey Kyle. I have the same flopro DPF delete pipe. I've grown tired of the DB level of the exhaust at Idle mainly because I live in the city and am up before anyone else in my neighborhood. I have locally about 3 guys with MBRP mufflers and one with a 3'rd gen muffler, but after watching countless videos these short flow through mufflers don't make much of a difference from what I can tell. There's the 51" donaldson and counterparts which seems to make a difference, resonators don't seem to make a difference. Theres the aero turbine XL or whatever which only has one video that I could find..... having a hard time figuring this out and don't want to drop money on muffler after muffler........
Anyways a to the point: Whats the best muffler/resonator to bring my db level down without going back to stock from your experience?
So this mod makes the truck loud? Eliminates muffler or something?
@@flat6fever680 Removes SCR and DPF, little bit different on diesels but yeah the mufflers are gone. Than you have options of straight pipe or other muffled options in 5" or 4".
I did end up buying a 32" flo pro straight through muffler that quieted the truck down significantly. VGT is still loud when cold but not as noticeable. No effect on EGT. Videos on youtube don't really give you the audio you need to figure out whats best.

Curious as to where you got the delete pipes from. Looking on flo-pro's website for the 5" turbo back pipe and they dont sell exhausts for anything newer than a 08 or 09 cummins. Or with the latest law changes would it just be better to do "custom", 5" piping from the turbo back for a straight pipe?
They definitely have them, they have a kit for 10-12 Cummins, then a kit for 13-19 Cummins and I think there’s a new kit for the 5th gen unless it’s the same as the 4th. It’s hard finding flo-pro in the states though. I’m in Canada and flo pro is a Canadian company so it’s really easy to get around here.

It really doesn’t matter. They all perform the exact same so it’s just personal preference.
My dad is having an issue with his DEF system in his 2018 ram. He keeps getting DEF sensor codes and has to get the sensors replaced. Will this delete take care of that issue and get rid of these sensors?

Can you leave the EGR and EGR cooler on the truck after the tune and DPF delete. If so will it cause problems later?

There is a hi temp gasket at the turbo pipe junction. Did you reinstall that or just bolt the new pipe directly to the turbo pipe?
If the gasket is still reusable I use it, but most of the time it crumbles apart so I don’t use it and it’s fine.
Get yourself a new one before installing. If you don't install it may leak down the road.

I dont take them off the DPF, I disconnect them from the truck and drop them down with the DPF

I just pull the rubber lines off and leave the holes open.

There is no downpipe on a Cummins, the exhaust bolts right to the turbo

But I have a few questions for you and would love a response if you could , I have a 2010 Cummins that I want to delete I really know nothing about this so that’s why I watch your videos! My question is I’m thinking I will go with EFI LIVE like you suggest, but I’m an old man who just wants the quietest exhaust so I’m thinking about putting in a DPF DELETE PIPE in , so can you suggest what I should purchase for that to make it still quite, and I will watch your other videos on deleting everything else I need to delete like Egr and stuff ! Also I’m not looking for any real horsepower gains just better fuel economy and no pollution stuff ! And thinking single tune if that makes sense to you thank you , would love your input thanks again

I get them from my parts supplier in Canada
Nox sensors are not serviceable and require replacing the module with sensor attached
