what about swayback pads which provide a bit of thicker cushion in the middle to lessen the bridging effect?
Then maybe I've been doing something right when I've been using a lot a backwards movements on the ground, especially with horses that tend to want to dictate the pace and drag me along with them.

Who has money for a saddle fitter constantly as frequently as evaluations need to happen and who can get one to come out if you don't buy a custom saddle. Like maybe where you are it isn't an issue but here it very much is. No such thing as independent saddle fitters around me.
always thought swayback was a sign that the horse is just getting old and cant handle the weight anymore, let it to pasture its done its job
