Great video man! I found that hockey tape gives you a better grip and dont make your hands black after long practise as electric tape some times do. I also found that using a thicker hook screw that you pinch togheter with the help from a vice is more reliable than those thin hook screws you can pinch togheter with just as plier. Your sticks looked a little short. A real nunchakus sticks are 31cm long.

Yeah a bit on the shorter side, but a few more links and they should be a good size.I'm not really sure if they are leagal here, but in some countries they are banned hence the warning.

Use super glue or epoxy when screwing the hook with the chain in the wooden rod and it will be permantley in the rod, so u can use it to learn nunchaku

not entirely true i already tried this method about 2 years ago when i made my first pair of chucks, the force and momentum from swinging them eventually rips it out. it might work with solid hard wood like an oak i dunno. i used a soft wood from a broom handle using these same hoop screws and araldite epoxy & resin.
