  • I used 3/4” PVC pipe for my prototype, I failed a lot and made a lot of mistakes and corrections, but forgot to shoot a video on some procedures.
So I used 1/2” PVC for this video, it fits in my hand better, because I have small hands. I recommend you use 3/4” PVC pipe and fittings to make this baton transform into nunchucks. The specification will be a little different.
    Specification:
1/2” PVC fittings: 2 end caps, 1 male adapter, 1 female adapter, PVC pipe cut to 2 sizes, one at 11 3/4”(connect with male adapter), one at 11 7/8”(connect with female adapter). 1 PVC coupling for making spool.
    10 nuts, 2 washers, 1/8” and 5/32” paracord.
You need 12’ long paracord to make the center lanyard and 18’ long to warp around one pipe.
The same as for 3/4” PVC pipe and fittings, but I did not make a note about how long for warp around 3/4’ pipe, but I know you only need 3 nuts in each side of the pipe because they are bigger and heavier.
The reason why I put a video (How to make a two-peg spool knit paracord lanyard) on the end is that there are so many ways to make the braid that you can learn from TH-cam, I wish that I have time to learn them all. The important thing is the mechanical part inside the PVC pipe that makes the conversion smoothly. mostly, the nuts.
Again, this PVC Baton and Nunchucks is not a weapon, do not use it to hit anything. But you can use it for performance, so make 2 or 3 more for practice and make sure to save one for your performance or competition.
    Good luck with your making.
