- This has been a dream of mine owning a rock bouncer, after owning and driving a few this is my brand-new build. I give a full walk around tour explaining every detail from top to bottom about it. Even though it's basically 100% custom built, I didn't have much to do with the process, but I did a little on the final process. From what I know, Bypass shocks and "modern" Coilover originated in the late 80s-90s from development in desert racing series (baja, NORRA, etc) By King, Kuster, and even Robby Gordon. King had some other spin offs now known as what was previously private held "sway-a-way" (who has now been bought out by AFE and not the same anymore) and Kuster I am unsure what happened but they arent around as much anymore.
Modern style coilovers were really mainstream succesful in the mid-late 2010's when the designs were more pioneered and mass produced for a manageable cost.
For anyone who likes Jeep Prerunners or Baja style "west coast" builds, youll see some of my IFS and LS jeeps in my channel.

Average weight of a rock bouncer?
Hey. Can i put the harness/fuse box and cluster from a automatic xj in a 5 speed xj? My cluster has the idiot light's and i want the regular gauges. Also i want to swap the windows to electrical. And put in the overhead console. Out of a loredo. Thanks
