Hey bud I spoke too soon. Yesterday when I tried the elbow first move I was hitting such pure shots but now I AM SHANKING EVERYTHIIIIIIING. And my swing path is like a +7 and face to path -12. Helllppppp lol.
Chris, have you seen the Gary Player video where he says he finally understood at 70 what Hogan had told him about the need to move the arms across the chest early in the backswing (adduction) and not have space between the upper arm and chest....in order to have a fixed (at limit of range of movement) repeatable motion??
@edwardj3070 I thought it was ok. Player was still moving the club away from his body. Where Hogan was moving it in a way that it always followed his body. Just my thoughts.
@@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan thanks. i think your exacting descriptions of not only the detailed mechanics of this integrated alternative to the "modern swing" but also how it should feel are truly one of a kind in golf instruction
*Wow, have you seen Chris's video? It's absolutely mind-blowing! @@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan can you do another short or video on the fanning of the club and how it looks? When I do it feels so open, like at halfway back parallel the club face is super open and by my top of my left hand is pointing the sky…
Another superb video Chris. I love your channel. I usually click like before watching the video, because I know the content will be enlightening. After watching the video, I wish that I could give you another, « like », but I can’t, so I will send you some feedback as to help you grow your channel. Well done Sir. 🇨🇦💝👍
Hi Chris, Good stuff as always.... when you play with a "half a left arm" like the Hawk , it has to be from the side of the body as you rightly states....
You should feel the connection of the insides of the biceps and triceps connected to the outside of your pecs. Not on top of them. On top of them moves the arms out in front of your body, There is Not one swinging sport in the world that does this, so why other golf instructors think it is the way it should be done baffles me. Hope that helps.
Hogan did have a slight fold in that trail arm at address. From P2 thru P3 he stood that club up so the butt end was pointing at or inside the ball. His scapulas were not fully protracted but yet not fully retracted either. We could say they were certainly neutral and relaxed. His hands at the top were over his trail shoulder with a cupped lead wrist. No way he was that flat. Many pictures were taken well into his transition from which his shallowing has been misconstrued as his backswing.
@@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan So, I went to the range tonight and placed the sticks at the 90. Feel like I got the take away down, but was hitting everything either fat through the ball, or clean with no real compression. Maybe not enough weight forward, I’m thinking. Needless to say, a bit frustrating after watching a number of your videos and practicing a bit in my home garage setup. Been taking lessons for a year and a half and nothing seems to be helping. Started with the pure stack and tilt method and then went to GolfTEC for the last year or so. Maybe too many swing thoughts 😄. Anyway, I’ll log onto you website and will keep watching your videos. Thx!

Mr. Hogan was a genius and we are so lucky to have a person your calibre explaing what Mr.Hogan was articulating.
Thank You Chris.

Thanks again!

Is rolling the clubface after the initial part of the takeaway fanning it open? Like do we need our left and right forearm literally roll around?
After the initial part of the takeaway.

So those trx balls that keep the arms close together are no bueno for Hogan's swing correct?
Agree.

I appreciate that!
I don’t understand how to aim for a fade. I hope you could elaborate on that. I understand the hook.
Aim the riffle to the right (how much you want it to fade) then open feet to the left.

What do you mean hold the club from the sides. That just shortens your arms and feels constricted. Am I misunderstanding this?

The right arm is so crucial in a golf swing.
👍
Wouldn’t this give you a tendency to hook the ball?
No. It will allow you to stay connected and use your body.
@@NoMoreSecrets.BenHogan Anxious to give this a try tonight.
@mdunham692 just focus on the connected feeling of the body. Also, put the 90 in front of you if practicing. It will help as well.
