Awesome review Andre! These long term loaner vehicles are such a great addition to the channel and I'm glad to see you're putting that truck to good use. That shirt and the bright yellow Titan is a winning combination for sure!
This extended real world evaluation gives info more relevant to the typical buyer than the Ike Gauntlet. I enjoyed the extemporaneous speech, rather than the typical down and up commentary of the toughtest towing test.
This is exactly the perfect way to demonstrate the capability of the truck, it’s what I look for when researching. None of them are perfect, but I’d say it didn’t do too bad, considering all the changes in elevation.
That’s a cool review on the Titan, it’s nice to see that you have incorporated your work into your life and enjoy what you do for a living. I hope that “TFL” appreciates your dedication.
Great Video. We have a 2010 Titan Pro4x in Galaxy Black that still looks new in 2020, and is our go to vehicle for long trips. We looked at Luxury Sedans when I retired, but none were as roomy or comfortable as the Titan. Our second vehicle? A 2015 Frontier Pro4x in Lava Red. No trouble from either vehicle, and both have towed, been off road, run in deep snow and mud, forded creeks, and made long trips. Never disappointed.
Great Video Andrej, love to see the countryside and diffrent places! I hope you enjoyed this trip with your lovely famaly! Thanks for that kind of content! Greets from Germany! Lennart
Great looking truck. I’d have no reason for the XD, but I wouldn’t mind the gas option. 4x4 crew cab base trim would do just fine. I’m liking this Titan from all the reviews I’ve seen
I purchased my Titan in Nov 2017 non XD but does have the Pro 4X package. I tow a ski boat (4000 lbs) every weekend and this truck handles it very nicely. Lot's of folks have negative comments but when you talk to them they have never owned or driven the Titan. In the past I owned a 2009 F150 and enjoyed but for the price and features the Titan was a much better deal than a new F150.
Robert B that’s awesome to hear. I’m glad you’re enjoying it. The Pro4X is a great package. I might not be in the market for a new vehicle at the moment, but hopefully it only gets better 3-4 years down the road!
This was a great video, the truck performed like a champ. The shirt is fine, what’s not to like? I have owned from brand new a Nissan hard body, two Frontiers, a Titan then three more Frontiers and now my 2018 Titan. All have been extremely reliable with the exception of a minor hiccup along the way most never needed the dealer ever. I just did a round trip from NJ to Florida and now at almost 8000 miles in 3.5 months am even more pleased than the day I bought it. The ride is excellent and with 4 adults in the cab and a full bed averaged 21.5 mpg. Nissan for the WIN, sadly many people pass up on an exceptional option to the big three.
Beautiful review, you should take more road trips Andre and feature the capabilities of a car/truck. Awesome job Andre! I really enjoyed this video. Gives me a refresh of the American Dream taking a road trip to enjoy nature. Thanks again Andre and the TFL crew.
You can customize a bunch of the vehicle’s settings in the menu settings in the instrument cluster. Among the settings is the parking sensor distance setting. Factory settings is mid-range. If you select “near” the overly protective parking sensors won’t bark at you all the time. I really like my ‘17 Titan Platinum!
Great Video.... Would really like to see more real world long term tests like these for those who are looking to buy a truck for towing. When you're about to drop $40k - $70k on a truck for towing, its nice to see the little details like shift points, engine rpms/noise, overall experience, etc... before making such a significant purchase. Thank you, and keep it up.
The question is do you like the truck. I am a Nissan Tech and love them. It's not perfect but the truck does do what it is asked. The VK56VD is a great motor. Hope you enjoy it. Let us know how you really like it apart from the others.
Perfect.. ..since your a tech I have a question about my 2017 pro4x 5.6 . When I put it in gear i can hear a knocking....i can't tell where its from but the dealer said its normal. Knocking to me isn't normal. Just wondering if you have it yourself or had anybody else mention it. Thanks.
@@modernmusclecar1904 clutch fan has some issues and I've hear one or 2 long blocks being replaced for wrist pin issues. Take it to another Nissan shop. Not a lot of ppl understand the VK56VD. Prob shit techs. But I also worked for Nissan Formula Drift so I know this engine very well.
Good choice in a ski lake & ski boat Andre. Navajo is one of the best waterski lakes around our area. I like the Titan and it seems to do pretty well for the high gear ratio.
Lol awesome! Navajo lake is literally just down the river from where I live. Also where I live isn’t far from Wolf Creek pass or Cumbres Pass. When we head north to South Dak to visit my wife’s family we go over Cumbres.
The shirt is great! Haha, you should wear more like it, just because it's soo different. You and Nathan should wear touristy shirts like that and do a segment where you do quick brief overviews of trucks/SUVs and call it Truck Tourism, or Tourist Trophy where one vehicle in each segment competes, then at the end of a "season" the winners face-off. Free idea, thank me later.
Great video, great looking truck, it worked great, and a great Hawaiian shirt!! You guys should do these kind of tests/videos more often, with your family actually doing something. I don’t go on road trips with a bunch of guys, I go with my family. Getting a wife’s and kids perspectives would be great and more realistic. 👨👩👧👦
Love this post Mr Andre, love givin' you grief on your live feeds, really like your La Tigre but somewhat disappointed you didn't invite me to the lake. I could bring my famous potato salad, BBQ chicken and Mastercraft x30 (yeah, they don't make that series, but fun tow boat). Snatch th pebble from your hand young grasshopper.
For people looking in 2025. The ratio from 4th to 5th is spaced far apart. If 5th was closer we wouldn’t have that problem of revving so high. Also cruise control while towing will keep it in the higher gears.
when towing i don't always have tow/haul on. if i don't require the engine braking on a slight downhill or on flat i turn it off and it'll still downshift if need be, as long as it's not excessively shifting it's fine. the Duramax i drove would just carry unnecessarily high RPM's for long periods, especially when it would have plenty of torque in the next gear. then coming up to an exit i'd click it back on and it would gear down all the way to the stop, click it back on before a major uphill etc. having it on the whole time over that distance will kill the mileage for sure.
Awesome review Andre! These long term loaner vehicles are such a great addition to the channel and I'm glad to see you're putting that truck to good use. That shirt and the bright yellow Titan is a winning combination for sure!
My 17 titan has been great, lots of trips towing and it is awesome. No issues
That's the Ultimate vacation shirt, ive got mine on right now. Cheers guys!
Love this style of videos! Actually shows real world testing for what real families do! Keep them coming1 💪🏼👍🏼🇺🇸
I enjoy Andrea's reviews!! That shirt is on fire my man. Thx for showing the trip
Just traded my 2016 Frontier SV on a 2018 Titan Midnight Edition based on your comments on Black Friday :)
The scenery looks awesome there! That shirt only adds to the ambience.
Really cool vid....nicely done Andre....and love the shirt!
By far still one of the best tfl videos of all time! Beautifully shot, real family trip, and Andre's amazing shirt!
I bought that same color truck except 2017. So it's the same engine. I absolutely love it. Powerful, quiet, and an amazing ride.
This extended real world evaluation gives info more relevant to the typical buyer than the Ike Gauntlet. I enjoyed the extemporaneous speech, rather than the typical down and up commentary of the toughtest towing test.

Shirt = AMAZING! Nothing says father on vacation like a Hawaiian shirt and nothing says TFL like a family road trip!

I'm glad to see it was a working vacation. All work and no play makes Andre a dull boy!
Great Video Andrej, love to see the countryside and diffrent places! I hope you enjoyed this trip with your lovely famaly! Thanks for that kind of content!
Greets from Germany!
Lennart
Andre, as always a great video....and great shirt too! You guys know how to mix both honest information and scenery into a very enjoyable video.
Really like the single person video , kinda of a different perspective for the channel. Keep up the good work guys!
That Titan looks good towing a boat. Nice truck. I love my xd diesel
Good job Andre, one of the better recent videos from TFL
Cool shirt Andre, I like the old cars on it to start. plus nobody would ever get mad at you while wearing such a happy shirt. Great review too.
Great looking truck. I’d have no reason for the XD, but I wouldn’t mind the gas option. 4x4 crew cab base trim would do just fine. I’m liking this Titan from all the reviews I’ve seen
Yeah, most reviews about this truck are negative. This seems less biased.

Bro that's an awesome shirt! Impressive wake boarding, by the way.
Great demonstration of what the truck can do, nice boat
This was a great video, the truck performed like a champ. The shirt is fine, what’s not to like?

Really good video. Real world review for sure. Thanks for putting it together
Very nicely done video, well edited, and it had a fun and enjoyable flavor. And the shirt was awesome.
Now this is what makes TFL truck videos great! Awesome work, Andre! Great video although the music was a bit tacky at times.
That shirt is amazing. Instantly put me in the vacation mood.
This is a great video! I’ve always wanted a review were it’s a road trip and what the family thinks about it.
The shirt: Is it good ,bad or weird, "yes". But it's a keeper ;o)
Beautiful review, you should take more road trips Andre and feature the capabilities of a car/truck. Awesome job Andre! I really enjoyed this video. Gives me a refresh of the American Dream taking a road trip to enjoy nature. Thanks again Andre and the TFL crew.
Very good video. Family time is priceless. FANTASTIC SHIRT!
Andre!! Nice video my friend. The shirt represents the vibe of the trip, surfs up dude!
Awesome video! Definitely need more real world testing like this!
Great real world test video Andre. Awesome shirt!!
The shirt is all those things...which makes it awesome. Well done.

Great educational and entertaining video!! And the shirt is good! 👍🏻👍🏻

I love these kind of videos. You’re my favorite of the TFL family Andre. Ya damn ruskie
Epic shirt, definitely need to see it more! Nice video too. he Titan seems like a nice everyday truck that can take care of the weekend trips :)
Andre is my favorite!
They're all cool guys, but I'll definitely echo what you just said.
Nice job Andre! More of these real world towing reviews with other manufacturers!
Andre I enjoy your work and opinions on the the TFL network. Keep up the good work. Your shirt looks nerdy just like you:-):-)
Love your shirt Andre and love this video. What a great review. Bravo!
The question is do you like the truck. I am a Nissan Tech and love them. It's not perfect but the truck does do what it is asked. The VK56VD is a great motor. Hope you enjoy it. Let us know how you really like it apart from the others.
How does this truck stack up against the Tundra....I love things made in Japan and do love Toyota...make an excellent product.
Both the Tundra and TItan are US Made and US Designed vehicles.
Perfect.. ..since your a tech I have a question about my 2017 pro4x 5.6 . When I put it in gear i can hear a knocking....i can't tell where its from but the dealer said its normal. Knocking to me isn't normal. Just wondering if you have it yourself or had anybody else mention it. Thanks.

@@98durangopack Thank you for the info. It doesn't do it in park so I'm not worried about the motor. I appreciate the info.
Andres Vacation Shirt earned a instant Thumbs up!
Hay Andre & the guys get paid to have nice fun trips by testing cool new trucks.😎
Great video. Wear what makes you happy Andre. Strongly considering replacing my wife's 2010 expedition with a new Titan Pro4x
The shirt is AWESOME!! my family loves you
Just a GREAT 'real world review' !! Good job
Nice video! Well done! Andre, the shirt is awesome!
Great shirt Andre! Now you need to grow a "Tom Selleck" moustache to go with it! :-{D
Love the shirt, you can’t have a bad day and a shirt that looks like that!
Love the video (and the shirt) ...
Now that is a review , nicely done ... 👍
Video production is getting so much better! Still can take the background music down a notch but overall it is not as loud as your shirt!
Great video Andre, well done
Andre great video. Keep making these kind of videos.
Shirt is awesome, makes u look even more down to earth!
Looks great this truck.
Good choice in a ski lake & ski boat Andre. Navajo is one of the best waterski lakes around our area. I like the Titan and it seems to do pretty well for the high gear ratio.
The shirt is all of them. 👍👍👍
The only thing that would make this better it's Roman and Kent in a wakeboarding video....please keep in mind for the future 😁
Lol awesome! Navajo lake is literally just down the river from where I live. Also where I live isn’t far from Wolf Creek pass or Cumbres Pass. When we head north to South Dak to visit my wife’s family we go over Cumbres.
Great real world road trip review! cool summer shirt.
Is this about the truck or the shirt? lol
Loved this video! And it actually felt like a family trip.
Good shirt, your wife likely hates it, more reason to love it! Hahaha
I did that pass with my Frontier pulling an enclosed motorcycle trailer of 2500lbs. No issues.
Really enjoyable trip and video!
Great job Andre
The shirt's a GO!!...love it!!!
We’re about to pick up a Moomba LSV. Trailer and boat should run about 4500 lbs. Excited to see how my ‘17 Titan Platinum Reserve handles it.
Love the shirt. That Titan is a nice truck

Good shirt
The shirt's good ! Like the truck as well !
Great video! REAL world review
Sweet truck, thanks for the review!
That's a great shirt Andre
Great video! But who chose the background music? Lol
Trucks that can tow approx 10k should have 30+ gallon tank as std. equip.
I just purchased a titan pro4x and I did alot of research
Omg when the TFL comes about 5 miles from my house and I never knew???
The shirt is rad!!
Very good review Andre....hope you had a swig of Vodka.
Just missed you boss man Andre.
Nice video Andre, lots of fun, you are the waterski and wakeboard champion of TFL staff, what kind of economy did the boat give, lol,JK
Very good Andre! Now you gotta do boat reviews lol
Great video!
You can change the distance of the proximity sensors and, when it beeps, just hit the enter button on the steering wheel and it resets.

Definitely a good shirt
Yellow truck and awesome shirt!
