I bought this reel back in late June. The same 2500 LT. I absolutely Love it. I was going for the B-G but fell in Love with the Fuego...I have it on a 7'0" Halo Medium. I have it spooled with PP 15lb Braid. I haven't regretted it one bit. At the time, this was the most Expensive reel I had ever bought. It is Everything you say it is. Glad I found this Video....Thank you Very Much....
Look see here! I've been a shimano fan for life but Diawa has been pounding out a great reel lately ,value and performance. Sad to say out loud I definitely will have to get the fuego for inshore and BG for bigger Game and don't forget line capacity is almost double than the Shimano"s
Daiwa reels like bg, bg magsealed, fuego, etc. the bushing and one way clutch corrode even you haven't dunk it in the water and it doesn't last long it will have a noise when you crank it. The shimano is better that's why I'll switch to a shimano sedona.
Dawia keeps getting better & better I recently purchased the BG 4000 it's smooth and durable and a friend that I surf fish with has the Ballistic 5000 you don't even know it has gears in it, it's so smooth. I saw the breakdown video of the BG 4000 it has a ball bearing supporting the pinion gear inside the housing of the reel & a ball bearing supporting the crosswind gear and two stabilizer bars inside the housing to keep the main gear and components in place. I've been using the new line up of Penn reels for the past 10 years surf fishing for bluefish & bass, but after sampling Daiwa spinning reels Penn can't even come close to how a Daiwa reel is built and Penn spinning reels are poorly crafted and aren't smooth. Daiwa makes a well crafted spinning reel, the Fuego is a nice looking carbon composite reel for the buck, I gotta keep this reel in mind for the next affordable light weight Daiwa reel I buy. KOOL REVIEW.
Penn aren’t necessarily poorly crafted, it’s just that Daiwa is better crafted, in your opinion. They both will catch fish and do a good job of it. I own both.
@@richarde1355 There where many people who complained about the grinding gears in Penn spinning reels including myself. Penn finally made improvements to date with the Battle III, Spinnfisher VI and Clash line up. But, I gotta say that I'm still impressed with how well crafted the inexpensive Dawia BG is .
I've got the Fuego 3000D-C reel matched up with a 7' Dark Matter rod ( one piece ) just love this combo great on red drum, specks, flounder , I use only artificials . Larry
Just picked up a fuego lt for 40 bucks at at store closing sale. It is a 6+1 bearing. Im pretty sure all the fuegos come with a roller bearing. Amazingly smooth
I went Fuego 3000 and 2500, sold the 3000 after the first day and going up to the BG for big chinook battles. 2500 is an outstanding reel for general use.
I have owned both. I look forward to each time I use the fuego and although the BG is a great reel, it’s not great for why I do which is light inshore throwing lures. If I were throwing bait I would prefer the BG.
I just bought the BG 4500 to cast bait in the surf on a 9 ft medium rod. Also just bought the Fuego LT 4000 to put on a St Croix Seage 9 ft. Haven’t used either yet.
I have the BG BG magsealed and the fuego and I would pick the BG over the fuego any day, I fish mostly saltwater inshore and the flex on the fuego when casting and retrieving heavy lures and hard fighting fish you can feel the flex of the fuego, it's good for bass and other slower fresh water applications.
No sir the Fuego is lighter and sealed better, you could catch the same weight fish no problem with the Fuego. BG bearings do not come sealed. I'm telling you, simple google research even tells you the BG is not sealed
Capt. Josh, nice looking combo. COLD water in FL.??? hahahahahaha IF I thought I would catch fish like that, I would go out and buy one tomorrow! Good to have you back! Baby getting closer???
Fuego is magsealed and lighter bg is stronger frame check out tackle advisor for unbelievable break downs anything Diawa is putting out is quality stuff looking to get a Diawa Ballistic myself just waiting for a nice sale . But for 200 Diawa ballistic lt and shimano stradic fl are the kings at this moment for the 200 ish price . Would have to say Diawa bg is the best reel for the money overall fuego for fresh best overall. I also have a shimano speros sw for 120 is unbelievable too for fresh and salt. Stick with Diawa and shimano they can’t be beat honestly
Nice daiwa spinning combo my dream is to someday get a daiwa salamander bait caster reel for a daiwa bait caster rod what inexpensive daiwa bait caster rod can you recommend me for saltwater Pier fishing 🎣
I have the 7'3" baitcaster and the reel and it's 💰! I'm not a big fan if cork handles so I've slapped on some Winn Wrap for a better grip and to also protect the cork and so I won't have to try to keep the cork clean.
I have BG 2500 magsealed and fuego 4000 lt d-cxh aswell... I think the BG is more durable, more powerful, even if the drag is lower this reel is a beast. That said, the fuego is really lighter (BG 2500 is heavier than the fuego lt 4000, it's just amazing how light it is). Can't say more because both are really good, I'd say under 3000 series the BG is better but a 4000 fuego LT weigthing 250gr and 100 bucks is hard to top.

Also a Dane. Pricing here in Denmark is weird. I was looking at the Penn Conflict II, for something new and different, and interesting in it's own right. I know there are mixed reviews. But I found out it is $40-50 less than the Stradic abroad, while here it is priced right alongside the Stradic CI4+. So it becomes uninteresting because you should prolly get a Stradic instead. And then the Daiwa Ballistic, is priced more or less the same as the Stradic, in direct competition abroad. But in our country, Denmark, the Ballistic is $100 more, so in a higher class than Stradic.
