No need for a 5 to 6 upgrade, but for new buyers, the air 6 has its attractions. Agree about the pencil. I use a third party, cost 20$, and charges by cable if you have a usb/hdmi/usb-c adapter. Apple pencil is definitely an unnecesary luxury unless you are a pro artist.
I grabbed the air 6 over air 5. 128gb seems like a sweet spot for my use case(I came from an ipad 6th gen 32gb). It’s also cheaper than the 256gb M1 in my country and is likely going to get more support lifespan-wise.

I mean the iPad Air 5 2022 is still good due to it’s M1 chip so for sure it will still last long. However, if you haven’t gotten an iPad yet and looking at the Airs, might as well go to the iPad Air 2024 as it would last longer and benefit from the M2 chip. I am planning on getting the iPad Air 6 2024 for school (also since because I don’t own an iPad yet).
99.9% of people don’t need M chip power for anything they do. And the M chip Airs battery life is abysmal. 10th gen does everything a majority of the population needs with better battery life.
Depends what you need it for. If you are making videos and doing other stuff at the same time, the M2 might be better, although air 5 handles 4k editing no problem in my experience. The air 5 camera position for me doesn’t matter as i use laptop for conference calls, but if you need an ipad for daily meetings, air 6 will be better. 256 storage is a plus, also depends what you are doing with 128gb. If you are gaming, doing heavy office use, making videos regularly, 128 might not be enough without external storage.
Depends on what storage you need going forward and how you use an IPad….. 64GB is fine for regular users media and searching but photos and games and other content my require more storage
My suggestion is go with at least 128GB with AI being stored on devices with Apps and updates going forward if you plan on having IPad more than 3 years . AI files could be bigger than past updates and Apps
people complaining about the 64 gb base variant, i ask you: WHY WOULD YOU EVEN GET THE 64 GB VERSION?????? getting the 256 gb is such an easy pick! i got the 5th gen with 256gb last year and i’m beyond happy with it!

I only use for travel. I can load a solid 30-40gb of content on the iPad + USB-C SSD for other movies or files. But I get why 256 is better for future proofing for most people.

Price doesn't differ much between air 5 256GB and air 6 128GB, also the Pencil Pro is way cooler. I also have a hard drive so storage won't be an issue. Anyways, kudos to this video.
Yeah mine is dope, bought a cell version 256 gb, from a pawn shop for $450, it was still in the 1-year warranty so I was able to add AppleCare. I think it's the perfect iPad as well, the battery kind of sucks but I think that's with all iPads.
I only bought mine so i have an apple device to verify logins to various apple services. I don't own an iPhone. Storage is a moot point. Just needed a device for logging in and using as a remote browser in Apple tv and music

I felt so bad as I could have waited for the air 6, but I feel much better for getting the air 5 after watching this because there did not seem to be much of an upgrade. The M2 chip, the screen size, more space, and a few other things were slight upgrades. However, I did not feel it was much of an upgrade. My nephews are happy with the air 5 so I guess getting the air 5 was not a bad choice. Anyways, thanks a lot for this video and I feel better after watching it.👍
I found that iPad Air 5 256gb refurbished is $570 and iPad 6 new 128gb is the same. This is not a huge difference price wise, since I don't want 64gb. Which do I get?
naah coming from an Air 4 the Air 6 is the right Upgrade. Air 5 isnt justified enough for me. That Pencil Pro, Landscape Cam and M2 makes it for me oh and 128gb.

I just say M1 Air 5 is an upgrade sure but its not worth from an A14 Air 4 (M1/A14 are also same architecture so yeah) but now with the GPU Power and 2x Multicore of M2 compared to A14 Air 4 and Pencil Pro plus Landscape Cam it IS an Upgrade for the Air 4 Users for sure worth it. All these "daily" facetime things etc just got better. I bet you get a decent used Deal on your Air 4 though? Sold mine for 350€ and got my M2 Air IF I had chosen 128Gb for 600€ - but I went 256gb personally. 250€/Dollar is definetely worth the Upgrade. For ANY Pre Air 4 Owner it should be a now or never.. :D For any M1 Air 5 owner hell nah why? For Air 4 Owners its worth it, you decide. @@travistouthang341 the pure GPU improvements comapred to M1 is a deal for me I just played Assassins Creed Mirage on High no issue solid 30fps - just drains to much battery and gets pretty warm for me so i put it back to medium looks almost the same for me. :D

I have already using the xioami pad 6 it has 144hz refresh rate screen if I am switching to an iPad which has 60hz display is their any type of problem of laggy or slow should my eye's will considering?

So the new pencil wouldn’t connect on my iPad Air 4… and my old pencil doesn’t even register on the 6. It’s all a scam

So after $135…. I spent $650 on a tablet just to use the pencil. Ya. Brain dead. Both scenarios. Them changing it up purposely being greedy…. And me being dumb enough to buy it. And that was still with $150 off from Best Buy’s open box offers.

Air 5 has horrible battery life though. I’d get a 10th gen before an Air 6 for the better battery life.
