Very cool video thanks! just one thing I learned yesterday removing my carb is that you don't need to remove the throttle cables just remove the two screws that hold the rack to the carb that way you don't need to assembly and adjust them again!
I need help from you. So I have a 2004 Honda VTX 1300 C with my husband and I purchased the motorcycle. It came with the spike air in take. Which caused us a lot of problems. I had to buy and replace my carburetor, and I just had to purchase the stock air in take. I do not know how to put on this stock intake because when I purchased a bike there wasn’t one on it I really need you to help me put the right hoses where they belong.
Hello Cody, went through the carb, great video thank you. Put back together and it started right up. Sputters when I get on it at about 30mph. Long story short pulled petcock and the filter was rotten and broke off into the tank. So been "rinsing" the tank with fuel and filter screens. Lots of debris. Rinsed with about 12 gallons of gas and still debris comes out. Is there a faster way. This will take forever. Thank you. 2005 Honda VTX 1300.
Awesome video. You make it look so simple. Question: there is too much vibration coming from under the seat of my 2005 vtx1300c. Any suggestions what to look for. Replaced spark plugs, clean air filter, changed final drive oil, changed engine oil, carb serviced at dealership.
Yes this video is awesome helping me to finish knowing how to remove my carb from the parts I was sure about. Very clearly explained. Thank You and google for these video.
Just stumbled across this awesome channel. Subscribed and hit the bell. 😎👍Loving bulk watching the maintenance playlist and working my way through all these excellent videos. Great channel. Thankyou for your advice, tips, explanations and productions. All the very best from a new fan in England, U.K.
2005 Honda VTX 1300. Hello, hoping you can help me.. Removed old gas older than it should be. Figured gunked up carb as to why it won't start. Started towards removing carb and went to unseat the carb- float drain and it was empty. This was after pumping old gas out and replacing with fresh gas. So I'm thinking gas may not be getting into carb as it won't start when it turns over. SInce no gas in carb maybe petcock is plugged or bad not allowing fuel to pass through. Really don't have any knowledge of what I'm doing other than making an effort from TH-cam videos. Appreaciate any advice. Thank you.
Great video something I really need at the moment the only time my VTX was in the shop was to rejet it and rebuild the car after sitting during the pandemic now it doesn't run it flashed fire so I'm taking it apart to see what the so-called mechanic did.wrong. I have some pictures of some hoses that weren't even connected to anything six of them all together thank you for the great video
I'm not sure if you found an answer or not but I just purchased a adjustment knob from Glen's vtx garage that let's you adjust the a/f screw without taking anything off.
Yep. Even if you dont it's so much easier if the tank is off. Getting the tank off just requires one bolt removal and disconnect a few hoses and two electrical connections.
Yes, so be careful when removing the tank. What caught me off guard was the remaining fuel sloshing inside and the weight of the tank shifts suddenly. You can lift the tank up and remove the air box but it's definitely easier to work around the bike without the fuel tank.
I’ve watched other VTX carb vids and the filter was in those carbs too. Maybe it is supposed to be there? Not sure if the carb is tuned for the extra drag resistance for that strainer? …maybe

I have a 1994 Honda Magna from cleaning the carburetors and everything but it starts and when I accelerate it goes off
This looks identical to the carb setup on my 750 Areo.
They are similar. I've own both before and seen how they worked.
Appreciate you bro!
Hey I need the video show me how to adjust the air and fuel mix because my Honda 1300 backfire
I'm not sure if you found an answer or not but I just purchased a adjustment knob from Glen's vtx garage that let's you adjust the a/f screw without taking anything off.

Do you have to remove the tank to get the air box off?

Need a link for your rebuild on 1300 VTX carburetor
👍
ok … you need to do a reinstall vid now. The two hoses on the bottom of the carb are a bitch….
do these two coolest hoses go on first for install?
