Just bought my 2005 vtx1300r a week ago for $1500. 30k miles and in great shape. I did have to go through the carb but very easy on these as its just a single carb similar to harley setup. Set of cobra speedster long exhaust pipes really wakes up the sound. Stock leaves a bit to be desired but to each their own as they say. Best to avoid using the enrichment knob when you can as these are known to foul plugs very easily as the enrichment knob dumps a bunch of extra fuel unlike a choke that just cuts some air. Scar mod and open the mixture screw to 2.5 turns out and its much less cold blooded and never needs the knob. Also have a k&n air filter in the stock airbox. I do have a factory pro stage 3 jetkit and pair valve block off plates but not needed until i upgraded the entire intake. Solid bike, not nearly enough torque but thats why they made the 1800 lol. Overall solid bikes.
The Japanese cruisers have always had the best suspension and are super comfy. My dad just sold his VStar 1100 and that thing rode like it was on a cloud
Nice bike! I deleted the choke and the pair system on mine and appropriately jetted the carb. It now starts and runs like fuel injection. I recommend this.
@@BluesHarpBikerHi, I am not biased about Harleys and would like to know what common problems do they have ? I was stranded in California on a brand new 1983 Lowrider. (The red oil light came on, engine sounded irregular, and left it at my high school friend’s house.). The dealer told me it was a faulty oil line valve; $2.49 part.
Cobra pipes sound good on the Honda vtx 1300.
slap some pipes on it and it will sound like a harley. Got v&h big shots on mine and it sounds fantastic.

Is it me or is your left mirror on the night train upside down?
It is upside down it’s really worn out so that’s the only way it works.. 😎
I am going to guess that the park is free, but he decided to grab a few people going in to make a few dollars.
well no, it was on the honor system.. hahah you're supposed to put your money in a drop box... I just never do.. haha
Plastic chrome on a VTX is better than metal chrome on a problem prone harley
Ive never had any major issues with my Harleys..

@@robdonell9915 pretty much the same issues any other brand of bike has. Depending upon what year model you have.
