There are tons of smallmouth bass on Mille Lacs. They put up a lot better fight than walleye do. Walleye are better tasting fish but smallmouth are better for recreational purposes.

Just think if the 'tribe' quit gill netting...better fishing and more customers in their ancestral casinos. They must not be good business owners.
